**ANTONIO**

"When you say you have bad news concerning her, do you mean the type that is capable of rendering our plans useless and killing us?" Amelia asked staring at me with inquisitive eyes, eyes that were filled with curiosity.

"No, not that kind of bad news but it's bad all the same," I stated and her physically tensed expression loosened up almost immediately. When I talked about having news about Leila, she had looked like she had consumed a pail

Of course, nobody would find it fun to hear that someone or anything at all would be a stumbling block to something that they had been working on.

And that's exactly how I see Alpha Xander whenever he finds his way back to my mind and memory.

"So what's the bad news? It's Leila, her existence is bad news anyway." Amelia asserted shrugging her shoulders as she wrenched the water out of my wet clothes while I had already gone up and was back down with warm, dry clothes.

"She's skilled in swordsmanship." I simply couched as I slumped into one of the empty couches and I could see Amelia's expression switch to that of a shocked and confused person.

"That's not possible, she was never taught." Amelia stressed and I sighed.

"She said her dad taught her. Did Beta Carlson ever teach her anything of such sorts?" I questioned though I already knew the answer but there was absolutely nothing to say other than that.

"He didn't have time to realize that Damien had been playing her, what makes you think he would want to teach her anything?" Amelia reiterated rolling her eyes as she spread the clothes near the fireplace.

"So she's hiding something from us? Anyway, I know it won't be long before I find out exactly what she is hiding and why she chooses to find it. When do you think it is best for us to attack and where are we attacking first?" I asked Amelia and she looked at me in confusion for a few minutes before finally understanding what I was asking.

"I know I'll be sounding a lot more like you if I say this but I think that it would be best if we go after them faster," Amelia suggested and my lips coiled up in a smile.

"And why is that Amelia?" I asked wanting to know the details because she already knew that since I had given her enough time to plan this battle out, I wouldn't take defeat as an option. Everything had to be done neatly, peacefully, and in order.

"Because Alpha Xander is journeying and he's already far enough for us to want him to go farther before we catch up to him. And also, due to the failed battle; he might be doubling his pace so such a thing doesn't befall him again." Amelia explained and I slightly nodded. That was quite understandable.

It was the middle of the night. I and every other person in the pack had gone to sleep when I heard the front door open from upstairs. Thanks to my wolf ears, there is no other way I would have been able to make that out.

I rose from the bed immediately, creaking the door open with little or no sound if I wasn't exaggerating and then I descended the steps on tiptoes.

As I got to the last step, I hid behind the staircases till my eyes fell on someone who looked like a water ghost standing in the middle of the room it took a few more seconds of peering at the ghost to realize that it wasn't a ghost but Leila.

How could I have forgotten that I left her out there and went to bed?

My actions lately were enough to raise suspicions inside of her head but I couldn't care less. It's not like I brought her here to babysit her.

"Leila," I called and walked out of the darkness that I had initially stood in just so it could mar my presence but as I called out to her, she jerked her head up like something was controlling her and dear goddess!! Her eyes!

They were blazing and fiery red with no pupil and void of any emotion other than darkness and the chills that it sent.

If not for the fact that I had Alpha blood, if I was an omega I would have passed out the instant I DA her eyes.

Her powers were manifesting a lot faster than I thought and I think it was almost time for me to claim what's rightfully mine.

"Antonio." Her voice sounded like a thousand were calling out to me and I knew that was her powers. There were a lot of things that could go wrong at this point and the earlier I snapped her out of the daze that she is now, the better and safer for me.

"Leila, did you know you have a brother?" I asked slowly and soothingly and her eye colors went back to normal immediately.

"What did you say?" She asked with her normal voice but her knees were fumbling and she looked like she would pass out at any moment.

She was also shivering for been out of the rain but if there was anything I noticed, then it was that subjecting her to all these hard situations aided her powers in showing up more faster than it would if she was left to be too comfortable.

Before I could open my mouth to say another word to her, she blinked like she was trying really hard to keep her eyes open before slumping.

Tomorrow, I would finally claim Xander's pack as mine. Tomorrow, I would begin ruling just as I had always wanted to rule.

Tomorrow would unfold a lot of things and I was certain it was going to be the best moment of my life.

Tomorrow I would take over as Alpha Of Black Pool pack.
