**LEILA**

"Leila, you're in our presence and you're still threatening her. Don't let the fact that you're Lucian's mate put you in issues that you wouldn't be able to handle." Lucian's father growled and I looked up to stare at this man that had been silent all these while finally speak up.

"No, I'm not threatening anybody. I'm simply stating raw facts to her in the case of next time she wants to pull such a stunt, she had better say I poured acid or hot oil on her so it looks more believable." I stated, my voice void of emotion as I stared at each of them from eye to eye.

"So what can you say about the half part of her face that is burnt? Apparently, the kitchen maids have a different view on what happened because each of them recounted how you came into the kitchen after initially slapping Amaya in your room and grabbed a pot of steaming water, unleashing the contents on Amaya's body." Lucian shouted as his eyes darkened in anger.

"Hey, don't act too rash but also don't act soft." I heard Liam echo in my head and been told not to act soft was all the permission I needed to carry out the weird evil thoughts that was dancing around in my brain.

"If Amaya said that I poured steaming water on her when I didn't, then I guess it's just about time when I start carrying out her expectations." I said taking slow steps towards Amaya and Lucian called out to me in anger but I was too far over in my head to listen.

"Pour me a mug of coffee please?" I requested to the maid who stood just beside the table and I could see her body visibly shaking in fright.

"You're one of the people that saw me pour hot water on Amaya?" I asked and she hesitated for some seconds before she stealthily stared at Amaya and then nodded her head.

"Yes, I was in the kitchen when you poured water over her." She answered and quickly dropped the tea pot as fear had completely enveloped her.

"Okay." I simply replied and took the mug of coffee.

Twirling the cup in my hands for a moment, I slowly took it all in one go and let out a sigh.

"If its already ascertained that I poured hot water on her then so be it. Why am I here?" I questioned and a weird smile appeared on the edge of his lips while I could visibly see him twirling his tongue in his mouth.

"So you do such evil thing and you're not even remorseful?" He asked and I shook my head in negativity.

"I guess you didn't know I was a whole nut job before kidnapping me and bringing me to your pack without my permission. Speaking of people who holds rules in high order, I don't know if kidnap is on the list of rules." I said and swerved walking towards the door because I was fed up already.

"Don't turn your back at me when I talk to you." I heard Lucian scream and the next instant, he had roughly pushed me against the wall; slamming me into the cold, hard brick, his fangs which were now in surface pierced deeply into my neck as my eyes welled up in tears.

"You're hurting me." I whimpered but he just smiled with a devilish grin attached.

"This should teach you the lesson of never ever hurting Amaya ever again." He growled but as I felt darkness sipping in, it was more like I envisioned myself standing at the edge of the cliff.

"What's going in there, Leila!?" I heard my brother yell in my head with a voice filled with impatience.

"Nothing, I'm fine." I replied trying to sound natural as I did my best not to pay attention to the pain on my neck.

"You're burning up." Lucian commented withdrawing his hand immediately from any contact with my skin as he stared at me with confusion filled eyes.

This was the first moment that my mind had come into play and I actually liked it, the sense of satisfaction flowing through my veins was as high as ecstasy.

Blood trickled down from my neck down to my body while I just smiled at him though my gaze was getting hazy and blurry as time skipped.

"I think I'm gonna faint." I told Liam through the mind link and though I wasn't expecting him to do anything, the next second the door to the hall flung open and a worried Liam raced towards me.

"How dare you enter this gathering? Who gave you the permission?" Lucian queried with his Alpha tone as his eyes turned pitch black and as I did my best to keep my eyes open, I saw Liam's mouth curve up in a smirk.

I hope I'm not putting his life on the line here.

"Maybe if you exert that energy and that Alpha domineering aura on the maids and coerce them to tell you the truth instead of accepting anything that your childhood crush tells you, you might be able to learn the truth around here. As for now, allow me to take care of the Luna before anything happens to her." He stated and after concluding, without sparing Lucian time to voice out anything he had in mind, he hoisted me up in his arms and walked out of the hall.

And I blacked out in his arms.

The next time I woke up, I was in my room and my brother was tending to the wounds on my neck with seriousness etched all over his face.

"Are you having a hard time?" I asked and he stared at me before shaking his head in negativity.

"You're awake."

"Yeah, I'm awake." I stated sitting up and though he was trying to conceal it, I could see the worry lines on his face.

"What's going on? Did Lucian do something?" I asked ready to devour that monster from limb to limb but Liam answered in negativity.

"He didn't. Its just that falling into Amaya's bad part is deadly, you need to get properly trained in fighting and it starts today."
