ANTONIO'S POV
With the door broken, it was quite easy to detect the hon of soldiers that stood in the door way with a hard gaze on I, Amelia and Damien.
'Who would have thought that Amelia had a hand in this? I guess its no doubt that the Alpha is always right?" The one who I suppose to be their commander started and the corner if my lips coiled up in a smile.
'Unexpected things happen right?" Amelia questioned with a smug smile and a smirk on her face as she took up her stance, standing beside Damien in a defensive position for herself.
'Now you would pay for what you've done right after you let us know where Leila is!" The man growled and I chuckled indefinitely. Did nobody teach this man not to blabber when he's in someone else's territory.
'Humor me. I'd like to know what would happen if you don't let us know where she is." I stated, moving forward peering at them, my eyes laced with anger and victory at the same time.
'You wouldn't want to know big guy." He mocked as he took two steps closer to me. Now that's where he got it all wrong! You never act like you're in charge when you're not.
'How fascinating." I shot back, digging into his pride and I could see that he had lost his cool.
'Attack!" He commanded but as his army tried to rush forward, they found themselves dragging their feet on the floor and eventually falling on their knees in pain.
The commander was obviously trying to shift into his wolf form but couldn't and the displeasure was written all over his face.
'What's going on? Why can't I shift?" He yelled as he stared at me, his face filled with the display of horror and anger.
'Have you ever heard of the word ‘Wolfs bane'? And what it does to the people especially were wolves who inhales?" I asked and I could see his eyes widen from realization.
'You released Wolf's bane on us!!" He thundered and I simply nodded like I was giving an answer to his question that wasn't even a question.
'Not just Wolfsbane's though, I added a bit of sedatives so you can nap a little while." I added and he glared at me, trying to stable his feet on the floor as his eyes became more drowsy by the moment.
In less than five minutes, I had a swan of armies lying down inside the room in different directions as they snored.
'I don't understand." Amelia finally spoke up for the first time since the warriors were asleep and Damien nodded like he was in support of her not understanding.
Oh wait, maybe he also means that he didn't understand.
'What part do you not understand?" I simply asked as I placed the base of my boots on one of the warriors head but he was completely immobile, they almost look dead.
If I wasn't aware of how potent the sedate was, I would probably be thinking that I might have killed the which is an option on my list anyway.
'How did you know they were coming? Because its clear you knew already and planned ahead of time. How did you spray the wolfsbane and sedate that it doesn't affect I and Damien?" Amelia asked , totally and visibly making ut known to me that she was furious that I didnt discuss this plan with her.
Though I plan on not telling her any of my plans till I find out what it is that she is hiding away from me.
'I sedated the room and I took the antidote to it immediately, I put it in the water that you and Damien drank so thats why you were not affected." I said as I began walking out of the door and Amelia ran towards me, grabbing me by the hem of my coat.
'Thats it? Thats all the explanation. You're not going to explain why you didnt let I and Damien know of your plans? Especially i?" Amelia yelled, her veins red with anger as she shot me a hard glower.
'The air is tense and everyone is keeping secrets. You know the saying that if you want to get something done, do it yourself? That's the principles I used but don't worry, I won't hide anything from any of you henceforth as long as you're not hiding from me either." I stated and gazed hard and deep into Amelia's eyes and insww her lips quiver but she immediately regained composure.
At this time, I'm sure she knew that I was aware she was hiding something and the best thing she would do for both me and herself was to let me know before I found out by myself.
With that, I shot them a smile and walked outside to my armies who were ready for my command.
Ordering them to go and raid Xander's pack, I smiled in satisfaction because things were finally falling into place. The only piece that was remaining to connect was for Leila to harness her gifts and I would be unstoppable.
My armies were probably doing justice to Xander's pack as I sipped on a cup of herbal tea but few hours later, my armies returned with a chant of victory.
I smiled to myself as I walked up to them and the one who I placed head over the rest of them walked to meet me covering the gap.
'The raid was successful, my lord." He announced and I smiled yet again.
'I expect nothing less. How about Xander?" I questioned, stressing his name like it was a drop of venom on my tongue.
'It seems he got wind of the upcoming battle and fled with few of his soldiers and elders." He explained and my countenance fell, my face going red in anger.
'Do you mean to say that Xander escaped?" I yelled and sent a punch to the head of the man as he fell on the ground, bleeding from the place I had hit him.
Anger filled my veins as I realized that it was just a failed raid and nothing more.
