Jane's POV

Stepping into the premises of the office. 'I have a good news for you." My secretary informed me.

I faced widened in bewilderment. 'A good news? Why didn't you inform me earlier?" I asked, setting my gaze on her.

'I just felt informing you in the office would be more profound." She explained.

I wondered what news she has for me. 'What's the news?" I asked her outrightly. While I waited for her to burst the bubble.

'The company just annex another height. We broke the record we set making us top the charts." She explained.

My lips curved with a sharp smile. 'That's wonderful. Didn't know how this happened? What strategy did the company put in place?" I asked her.

'Not any that I knew of. It was recorded in sales that we beat the best." My secretary explained with smiles on her face.

'I am thrilled. I would have hosted a celebration party for this height but that won't be possible at the moment, because I am still mourning my cousin." I detailed. And even with the excitement within me, I felt very sad within me.

'I understand and I am sorry about your loss. Anyways, I will have to leave now." After that statement, I she left my presence.

I went into my office and I sat back to relax. Looking at how damaged my office was, I decided to take steps towards its repairs.

I picked up my phone and I put a call across to the repair team. 'Hello, I need you in my office right now!" I ordered.

'Okay."

I relaxed backwards in my office while I gave what was happening at the moment a thought. My phone beeped and when I checked, I realized it was the picture of my company.

'What news are the bloggers circulating this time around?" I mumbled to myself while I opened the news. Upon reading, I realized it was the current feat of the company.

I was surprised to see it in the internet already because I hadn't instructed my secretary to do so.

I had to text my secretary, ‘Come to my office at once.' I declared and waited silently until she rushed into my office.

'Why is the news circulating about the company on the blogs?" I shot a deadly glare at her. Waiting for her to give a thorough explanation.

She was breathing intensely because she had rushed up to meet with me in my office. 'I am sorry about that, ma. Actually, I told the blog about our most recent success." She expressed with an innocent intention.

I grunted in displeasure and looked at her with tension in my eyes. I wanted to lash at her, I had to control my temper. Slowly gazing at her face as I tapped my hand on the table.

'I am sorry, ma. I promise it won't happen." Fear wrapped her mind and she stuttered to apologize further thinking I won't speak about it.

I swallowed the saliva that formed a lump in my throat. 'Let this be the last time that you will anything without my instructions. Do you understand?" I widened my eyes. Using each of words on her. While I flexed my muscles.

'Yes, ma. It won't happen again. Should I ask the blog to take down the news?" My secretary asked. Thinking that might be the only solution she could profer for the mess she had created.

'There won't be a need for that. I will just have to be prepared for the press. You can be on your way." I dismissed her.

'Okay." She went out of my office at once.

My phone started ringing aloud. ‘Who the hell is that?' I picked up my phone to check who the caller was and to my surprise, it was Mr Francis.

'Hello." I said as I bottled up a lot of emotions.

'Hello, Miss Jane. Have you started using my product?" He asked with a comforting voice.

I inhaled some air into my nostrils and parted ways for my hair. 'Yes, I used a dose yesterday and I can say it works pretty fine."

Francis voice echoed with subtle laughter. 'I told you that Mr Atlas was just hating on me. That product is by far the best and I can recommend it any day and any where."

His choice of words were boastful and I felt disgusted. 'You shouldn't celebrate an half-win. Remember that I will have to use it for a month." I expressed and my words cut short his excitement.

'That doesn't matter at the moment. What matters is that it met with your urgent need. Did you feel mentally relaxed after use?" He asked further.

'Yes." I replied to him without giving it much thought. 'But that shouldn't be celebrated for now. It side effects is yet to reveal itself. So, lets see how it goes." After speaking in that manner.

'Okay." His show of excitement faded in his response.

'Is that all you called me for?" I asked when silence washed over the call.

'Yes. Have a nice day." He declared and ended the call.

With a pump of breath out of my nostrils, I relaxed backwards and soon, I heard a knock on my door.

I heightened my gaze as a young man and woman walked into my officer. They dressed elegantly and in a grand style.

‘Who are these people and what do they want?' I thought in my head as they sat in my presence even without telling them to.

'Who are you and what do you want?" I asked at once. My eyes running through their body.

'My name is Roberto and my colleague is…" 'Shayla."

'We are here to offer you a deal you cannot reject." Roberto expressed.

I shot a deadly glare at them. 'What deal are you talking about?" I asked with suspicion in my eyes.

Shayla smiled and she tossed a document forward. 'Read that document and you are going to understand better."

Hearing them speak and their actions; everything was weird. ‘These guys are definitely up to something not good.'
