"Today you are looking like an angel Aru I never know you look this much beautiful in saree" I spoke to her making her blush.


"even you were looking so handsome Aadiv" she too spoke while I smiled at her. we are asked to do pooja after the pooja is completed I was again asked to sit beside her. They passed me the nuptial chain; the chain had two parts which will be joined later.

I must tie these two chains around her neck. I stood up and took the chain and tied around her neck with three knots. This is called as mudu murulu, I did the same with the next one too. The Maṅgaḷasūtraṃ represents the physical, mental, and spiritual union of the couple. so, I should tie three knots marking her as mine in all the three ways. we got blessings from everyone after this.

It is the time for sath pehras (7 steps) in the Telugu wedding they won't walk around the fire but instead, they keep vakalu or nuts that they take while having tobacco on the round table and I should press Aria thumb toe for three times then she pressed her thumb on mine four times.


Later we were made to sit again and then it was the time for thalambralu. They kept some pearls in front us in short plates, I was asked to keep my hand cupped forward and then they placed some pearls in my hands. I was asked to drop those on Aria's head and Aria did the same thing, I took the entire plate and poured it on Aria. All her brothers were hooting for her and even she too took the plate emptying it on me now the turmeric rice took the place of pearls. This is done because they wish for the happiness to fall in the bride and groom's life by their partners as the pearls or rice fall from their heads.

Now it's time for adorning her toes with rings. This is done by the person who is related to her as an attaya or mavaya. To ward off the evil eye, the bride is adorned by a string of black beads during the ceremony. These beads along with the silver toe rings symbolize that she is a married woman. These toes are placed because they were made up of silver and silver is the good conductor. The nerve in the left toe connects the uterus with heart and the silver metal sends impulses to the uterus and heart making them healthy and they married life to be happy and blessed with kids.


After it was done, they placed a container for water in front of us which is filled with milk and rose petals. I then understood that it was the ring game, they placed the ring and asked to keep my right hand and her left hand inside the container to search for the ring. I caught her hand before she has kept her hand inside and kept my hand inside to search the ring. Her brother came to her rescue and even she kept her hand, but it was too late I got the ring.

It was the second time now and before we insert the hands Atharv and Parv caught my hands from the back while she inserted her hand. Vihan and Mehul helped me and they got me free. I then kept my hand but it was late she got the ring. The third time we both were serious, and we found the ring at the same time. all hooted for us, all were enjoying it to the core.

Now we were asked to come out from the mandap to see the Arundhati nakshatram. I moved along with the priest with Aria beside me. In one of the rituals, the groom shows the bride the double stars of Vashista and Arundhati as an ideal couple, symbolic of marital fulfillment and loyalty. The couples are asked to look up the constellation symbolizing conjugal love and affection. On the second bright day of the lunar month of, a fast in her honor is observed in certain regions of India by ladies whose husbands are alive. This is called as karwachaut. This fast is observed with the belief that the ladies observing it would not be widowed.

Since the Arundhati star is faintly visible, they cannot see the Arundhati star. Due to its faintness, the Arundhati used to be shown in steps, first showing the brighter stars, and then relative to that the faint Arundhati star is directed.

When we went out, we realized that it was too late because the stars were shining to their full which is possible only at midnight. The priest showed me one star which is shining to the full, the priest told the star next to that bright star is the Arundhati nakshatram. I held Aria hand in mine while showing the star to her.

Then we went to our hall for dinner, the person to have dinner last at the wedding is the groom and bride themselves. I was asked to feed Aria the first bite to which I happily agreed. Now it's her time to do so but how can I leave this chance so easily. I bite her finger in my mouth making her look at me with wide eyes. I winked at her which made her blush and she looked down. The main attractive thing about marriage in Telugu wedding is the lunch they provide. they take more and more concentration on the lunch because they believe that "people may forget the wedding but they never will forget the way they got greeted by us and the food we gave for them". they believe that respect given to the guests play an important role.

after eating dinner, we both came out from the backyard to go to our house. I saw Aria was not at all crying, but she was hiding those tears while her father was also doing the same. Parv and Atharv were having tears in their eyes but being the strong pillars, they hide them. we settled in the car and moved towards our house where I am going to start a life with Aria.

"Aru doesn't try to act strong in front of me" I spoke as soon as we started to leave from the farmhouse. She immediately hugged me, and I too held her tighter in my arms. she sobbed in my arms and she slept at last. I made her adjust properly in my arms. when we reached the house, I woke her up. Shreya and Priya came along with us in another car. Any person who is the sister of the bride should tag along with her to groom the house. Since Aria had no sisters they both came with her.

my mother did our arati and we came inside the house. we directly went to the mandir and she lights the lamp in the mandir. later we were asked to rest as we must perform pooja early in the morning at 9:00 only.

we both were asked to sleep in the separate rooms as still the pooja is left. she was taken to the Eshana room along with Shreya and Priya while I went to our room. I was hell tired, so I slept immediately.
