AADIV POV

"Why will he not be ready after all he is going to marry a beautiful girl, but I am worried about Aria because she is going to marry an idiot" Vihan spoke and I gave him a glare to which he was least affected

"don't bother my brother and Bhai are you nervous?" Eshana spoke and that was the time I decided to tell them about my worries.

"I am not at all nervous because I know my life will be awesome but I am afraid because I may hurt her in any manner like I did before" I spoke and let out all worries I had but I saw all of them smiling at me.

"What?" I asked them to raise my eyebrows. They all pounced on me for a hug.

"You will be the best husband AADIV" spoke Anvi making me frown.

"You are thinking about Aria and her happiness I am sure she has a special place in your heart, and I hope you realize it soon ". Spoke Vihan making me smile indeed she has a special place in my heart. Is this place only for her....is this love?

My thoughts were disturbed by my mother's voice who asked us to come down as we must perform Ganesh pooja while Aria will be doing Gauri pooja. This pooja means to change her name on mine and even for the start of anything we will pray to Lord Ganesha. So this is to pray for the new bond of ours.

After the pooja is completed We came down and settled in a car and went to her farmhouse. I came out of the car and went near the entrance of the backyard.

When I was about to enter the backyard, but I was stopped by Aria brothers. I gave them a confused look to which they smiled at me. They kept a plate in front of me which made me more confused.

"Keep your legs in this plate" Atharv spoke smiling to full which made me confuse. But still, I kept my legs on the plate after I get an assured look from my mother. They washed my feet with water. Then I took away my legs from the plate. Parv and Atharv again gave me a big smile while I was confused again.

"You should give them money or gift for welcoming you" maa (Aria mother) spoke while I nodded my head as I understood the matter.

"Since I don't know about this ritual, I will give money to you both" I spoke and took money from my mother and gave it to them. This ritual is called edurukolu the welcoming rituals for the groom.

After that, I was asked to move inside the hall where there are two stools placed and these are called Pelli petalu. I was made to sit there and then they did the Pooja. I was then asked to sit facing the backside of the mandap and they placed a curtain type cloth in front of me. This is the indication that Aria is going to come. Finally, she came, and I can't see her because of the curtain I can only see her dress and the coconut in her hand which made me smile as I am color matching with her. she sat on the other side of the curtain while I am facing my back towards the crowd.

I was asked to keep my hands forward from under the curtain for my kanyadan. Kanyādānaṃ is the ceremony in Until the completion of the Kanyādānaṃ, the bride and groom are not allowed to look at each other and therefore, they are separated by a curtain that is placed between them, as a partition. Thereafter, the bride's parents wash the groom's feet, a gesture of respect because on the day of the wedding the bridegroom is considered as "Lord Vishnu Svarūpaṃ" or incarnation of the Lord who has come to marry their daughter who is considered as "Devi Lakshmi". The groom is made to chant "Dharmēca Arthēca Kamēcha Mokshēca Nāti Carāmi" three times and give Bride's father assurance three times that the bridegroom shall remain forever her companion in joy and sorrow, they kept her hand on mine and her parents slowly made the sacred water flow through our hands.

then they asked me to forward my legs and keep them on the plate. Aria's parents washed my legs and papa (Aria father) spilled the water on his head.

This signifies that from now they gave me the responsibility of Aria. I was asked to say the mantra three times while holding Aria hand this holding of hands is called as pani grahanam and the mantra was "Dharmēca Arthēca Kamēcha Mokshēca Nāti Carāmi" which means that whatever might happen I will not leave her side.

The priest asked us to forward our hands and they placed jeella kara bellam where the couple is asked to place a paste made from cumin seeds and jaggery on each other's head. This custom is referred to as Jīlakarra-Bellamu. This ceremony is observed to communicate that the relationship of the married couple is unbreakable and inseparable. Slowly they asked me to keep it on her head still with the curtain in between us. Oh god, I just want to take this curtain away and see her face. Later even she kept her hand on my head.

The curtain was removed from between us and I saw her which made me smile at her beauty because she is looking like an angel who descended from heaven. The color of her saree is increasing her beauty more, we were asked to change our attires into white and red color dresses because white represents purity and red represents love.
