After talking with Aadiv, I went down where they made me sit on a stool and kept a roll Banda (traditional replica for the mixer) in front of me. They dipped the handle in milk and then in wheat grains and kept them on my stomach. This is done to ensure that the uterus becomes active due to stimulation and it gets the capacity to conceive soon.


I was then asked to change my dress, but the dress they gave me was none other a langa or the petticoat type one we use when we wear sarees. I was about to go to my room but something in the storeroom got my attention now. I examined it and then later went to my room; I was made to sit on a stool with all the women around me. They started to apply turmeric on my body which is exposed, later they cleaned with water, this was done by my attaya first then all the people came and did that. this was termed as Mangala snanam. I was asked to change my dress and come down again where they applied bugga Chuka (black dot on the cheek to keep bride away from evil eyes) again then all the married women came and gave me arati which is called as Mangala arati.

all the rituals were completed, and I went to my room for a small nap. I called Aadiv and he received it soon and the first question he asked made me smile.

"Aru I want to see you now itself I can't wait for more" he spoke making me blush at his lines.


"Aadiv wait for just two hours then we will be with each other forever" I spoke, and I am smiling continuously and then even was blushing because of Aadiv words

"no Aru I want to meet you now only" he was nagging like a kid which made me smile again.


"Aadiv control yourself we will be together from today night and even you won't miss me" I spoke making him nag again but he was really a kid sometimes and this side is only reserved for three women in his life and they were me, Eshana and nyonika maa.

"ok fine only for some time then I will directly come to your house and bring to mandap and marry you" he spoke and I laughed at his words but he sometimes acts like this because he wanted all his loved ones to be around him and he always wants attention from his loved ones.

"don't worry I will only come away from the house and come to u" I spoke to which he smiled and then we talked for some time and I went down after we disconnected the call. I found my mother crying and I immediately rushed near her

"mom what happened why are you crying???" I spoke to which my mom

"because I will miss you after you leave the house" she spoke hugging me and this made me cry also

"Aru I don't think you will get married today" Atharv spoke making all of us confuse

"what do you mean idiot" spoke my dad

"what else dad if we sit like this and cry then it won't happen today" he spoke while we all busted into laughter. he always makes his surrounding happy and lively.

I was ready finally for my wedding look. I was called down for Gauri Pooja. Gauri Devi idol is made by mother with turmeric paste and kept it in the Pooja mandir and I will be performing Pooja.

The Kalash is having 5 leaves with a coconut in inverted form and then the bride does pooja for both the Gauri Devi and to the coconut.

It was done to change my surname to Aadiv surname according to the stars. After the Pooja is done, I was asked to come out from the house, and we left for the venue I.e. backyard of the farmhouse only.
