Another ten years passed. Now Rylan was not a little child anymore and he was eighteen years old. Even if he was just eighteen, he was already training to fight and to do things with Lucien's warriors. It was an evening and Lucien watched the way Rylan was training to fight. Recently, they got rogue attacks and that was the main reason for Rylan to practice fighting. While Lucien was watching Rylan, he couldn't help but think about Rowan.

They have the same body, the same strength and the same type of powerful wolf. No one in this pack could compare with Rylan's strength and power so everyone respected him. Rylan had already become the alpha of this pack even if the ceremony of becoming alpha didn't hold yet. Everyone loved Rylan and at the same time, Rylan was kind like his mother, Arabella. He helped everyone and that made him become a real leader without even knowing.


As Lucien watched Rylan, his lips slowly curled upwards to a satisfied smile. He had raised the boy well and he did a great job. Arabella and Rowan will not have to be worried with the way Rylan grew up. He was such a charming and powerful boy. Lucien felt that he was finally at peace. He felt he was getting out of the huge responsibility that Arabella left for him. Thinking about it, Lucien sighed and rubbed his forehead.

"Dad… I didn't see you coming"

After some time, Rylan ran towards Lucien while wearing his t-shirt and said. Looking at him, Lucien chuckled and got up from the seat that he was sitting on. Then he patted Rylan's shoulder before speaking.


"It's okay.. I need to take you somewhere" he said.

Then Rylan looked at Lucien with wide eyes and waited for a while before nodding at him. Then Lucien walked out of the training ground with Rylan following him. Rylan was already eighteen years old and he was not a kid anymore. He was matured and he was so fucking intelligent when it comes to everything so Lucien wanted to ease his heart by telling Rylan the truth about everything.


For eighteen years, for eighteen damn years he was hiding this thing inside of his heart and he couldn't hold it anymore. If he died before he could tell this thing to Rylan, it would be the most painful thing and Lucien didn't even want to think about it. So today, he wanted to tell all the truth to Rylan and make his heart at peace. So then he will be able to die in peace just like Rowan and Arabella left, leaving Rylan with him.

Arriving at the place where Rowan and Arabella were buried, Lucien stopped looking at it. Then Rylan stopped next to him and looked at the place with a confused look on his face. Watching Rylan's face for a while, Lucien sighed and spoke. His heart was pounding against his chest as he spoke but ignoring it he forced himself to calm down.

"Rylan… I needed to tell you something all the time. You were a kid before and I didn't let you know this but I don't want to hide this from you anymore. You were a great boy and I love you more than my life and you also know it. So don't get emotional hearing this okay?"

"You have never asked me about your mother. I don't know what made you not to ask me that thing even if you were a kid. Because kids always look for their mother and they are curious but you never asked me. But yet, you deserve to know what happens to your mother."

"Here lies, both your mother and father. Your mom is Arabella, the most gorgeous woman in this pack and in the entire world. And your dad is Rowan. He simply looks like you, strong and powerful. He was the crown prince of the Treral kingdom. While your mother was pregnant with you, your father had to go to save his kingdom from vampires."

"But yet, he came back before the day that your mother gave birth. He came and shared his strength with your mother because it was such a hard thing for a woman to give birth to a child with royal blood. But unfortunately after your father left, he had a fight with a man called Saveter. He was the vampire king. And your father killed him but he was too weak and injured."

"It has happened while your mother was giving birth to you so because your father shared his strength with your mother, when he became weak, your mother also became weak and she had to leave the world as soon as she gave birth to you and your father was also gone with his heart was pierced by dangerous nails by the vampire."

"So I was the one to take care of your mother while your father was away and I took you and raised you Rylan.."

Lucien stopped looking at Rylan. His eyes were filled with tears and at the same time, he saw Rylan's eyes were filled with tears. Soon the teardrops fell through his face and he clenched his jaws looking at graves of both Arabella and Rowan. Watching it for a while, Rylan turned to Lucien and spoke.

"So.. he was the one who was in my dreams?"

Rylan's question stabbed Lucien's heart and he forcefully smiled at Rylan before nodding his head. Lucien got to know what happened to Rowan with Rylan's dreams. Every time Rylan saw dreams, he explained it to Lucien and then Lucien started to think about everything that has happened but yet, some things are unclear to him.

"Rylan… it's your choice. You have royal blood in you and if you go to the kingdom, they will give the crown to you since they know that your father had a child. I never let them find you until you come to the right age. You can go there and become their king following your father's path. If you don't want to, you will still be the alpha here. You will hold the title I held." Lucien smiled at Rylan.

"My father… he couldn't become the king?" Rylan asked.

Watching him for a while, Lucien lowered his head and looked at the grave. Then he sighed. Rowan did everything to let his child have a proper and peaceful future. He never wanted the crown for himself, if he ever wanted it it was because he wanted to make his son the king.

"No, he died before he wears the crown" Lucien's answer was honest.

"I… I don't want to become the king, dad.. I will be the alpha here. No matter what, to me, you are both my father and mother. There will not be anything beyond you. I will stay here.. Thank you for taking care of me as your own son. I love them for giving birth to me but you're the only thing that I have now."

"You never got married and never went on dates no matter how many women came to you. It was all because you wanted to raise me well. I respect you for that and you will be my dad and mom for the rest of my life. They may have given birth to me but you raised me."

"Thank you for everything"

Hugging Lucien so tightly, Rylan said. Lucien felt Rylan's tears falling on his shirt and he felt the wetness of life and love with it. As he loved Rylan, Rylan had also loved him without a limit.
