"Breath.. Relax yourself… I'm taking you to the hospital"

Arabella heard Lucien's voice through her daze, she didn't have the strength to nod at him or reply to him. She just stayed closing her eyes. Soon, she felt Lucien was picking her up. She hardly managed to wrap her one hand around his neck, preventing herself from falling. Arabella didn't know what was happening with her, she felt so clumsy about everything. She didn't feel the pain when she suddenly woke up from the sleep but now she feels the pain making her body go numb.


She knew that she was going to give birth soon. So it was normal for her to feel the pain. She has gone numb and she didn't feel anything because of the pain. But she was so tired and exhausted. Resting her head against Lucien's chest, she started to think about Rowan. It would be so good if Rowan stayed here for her. At least, she could be happy seeing him but he's not with her.

She wanted him and she just simply wanted him to help her at this point. For all these months, Lucien and his mother were the people who took care of her. Giving her everything she wanted and helping her with everything, they really did a lot of help for her. Arabella was all alone in the house because the guardian that Rowan left for her was gone and nowhere to be found.

She said she would find herbs and come but she never came back which made Arabella feel fear and loss. She had to live alone but Lucien's mother came to her from time to time. Even though her own mother ignored her completely and only took care of Areic's mate and her pregnancy. Lucien's mother came to Arabella and helped even though Liliyah was also pregnant. Arabella would never forget that help even in her life.


She took a deep breath and calmed herself down, she wanted to be calm before giving birth. It would have her without a limit but she had to be strong and protect her baby and give birth to him safely. After some time, she felt she was placed on something soft. Letting go of Lucien's neck, she opened her eyes and looked at Lucien who was looking at her with reddened eyes. Seeing him, Arabella smiled at him.

"Thank you…"


She hardly managed to thank him for everything he did for her ever since Rowan left. Lucien watched her for a while and forced his smile. Then he caressed her face and moved away from her. Soon a few doctors came into the hospital room and Arabella sighed. She couldn't help but think about Rowan. She hoped that he was all okay and he was healthy.

"Ahhhh…"

Suddenly Arabella screamed as she felt the pain between her legs. The baby is coming out. Her numb body started to ache as she felt the pain. Tears filled in her eyes and she bit her lower lip hard. Turning her head, she looked at Lucien to see that he was going to leave. Seeing him, she sighed and closed her eyes, enduring the pain. She couldn't help but feel that she was going to faint with the pain.

"You need to push.. Use your strength"

Hearing doctor, she looked at him and nodded as she started to use her all strength to push the baby. She didn't know what to do, this was her first time and she wanted something strong to depend on but Rowan was not there. Tears rolled down from her eyes and she bit her lower lip harder making it bleed. She ignored everything and forced on one thing.

Her mind was filled with Rowan and at the same time she felt something was not right. She felt Rowan was not in a good situation. Even though they were not mates, the mate bond that Rowan and Arabella made was something strong. Arabella's heart was hammering against her chest, she was scared and nervous but she forced all the things back and pushed the baby.

Time passed, she was exhausted and she didn't have the strength to push the baby anymore but the doctors kept talking to her asking her to push the baby. Her body was aching, she was suffocating and she felt her heart beat slowly weakening. Her head hurts and her eyes felt so heavy. She tried to take a breath but she failed to do it because of the pain and suffocation in her heart.

"Please… you shouldn't give up." she heard the doctor saying but she couldn't do anything as her body was not under her control. Waiting for a while, she sighed and pushed the baby hard. She wanted to scream but she didn't even have the strength to scream. Then she felt the baby coming out.

With a smile on her face, she pushed even harder until her ears were filled with the sound of the baby's cries. She sighed. She looked at the tiny baby in the doctor's hand and her lips slowly curled upwards to a smile. The baby was crying without stopping. Then the doctors looked at her and smiled.

Walking towards her, they showed the baby to Arabella. Her heart was slowly weakening but she smiled at the baby and kissed his little forehead. She was so happy to see him. She was so happy that she gave birth to him without letting anything happen to him. Watching the baby for a while, she moved her eyes and looked at Lucien who was standing out of the room, while looking through the glass window on the wall.

His eyes were red and he smiled at her. Smiling back at him, Arabella moved her eyes towards the baby to see he was opening his eyes slowly. She was excited to see his eyes, she wanted to see them glowing just like Rowan's. As she expected, the baby's eye color was green. Like father, like son. She wanted Rowan to be here to watch him but it was such a pity that Rowan was not there.

"Oh no… what's happening?"

Arabella looked at the doctors who had a horror filled face. Soon she felt her vision turning dark and she moved her eyes towards the baby swiftly. Raising her trembling hand, she slowly touched the baby's face. She was suffocating and she felt the mate bond she had with Rowan was weakening.

She felt Rowan was injured. Arabella cried looking at the baby and she immediately felt what was going to happen. She moved her eyes and looked at Lucien who was looking at her. Then she parted her lips to tell him something but she couldn't do it. She felt her heart was stopping and soon, it completely stopped beating. Making her close her eyes and fall into a deep sleep.

"What.. happened to her?"

Soon, Lucien barged into the hospital room and questioned the doctors. But no one answered him, his heart was aching and he looked at Arabella's pale face. Her lips were bleeding and sweat had glued her hair together. Watching her for a while, suddenly his wolf howled from pain and started to cry. He felt his wolf's pain and he stared at Arabella before moving his eyes to the baby.

"We are sorry… she's too weak. The baby's father must be getting weak and that affected her."

Lucien heard the doctors and he lowered his head with pain. Then he nodded and walked towards Arabella before caressing her hair. She's gone. He never thought that she would leave like this.

"Wash the baby and take him to me"

Looking at glowing emeralds of the baby, Lucien uttered. Then two nurses came and took the baby away. After they took the baby away, Lucien stared at Arabella as his eyes were covered with tears. He was crying. He couldn't help but recall the day that he first saw her.

The gorgeous little girl that always made his heart beat so fast but now her heart was not beating and she had left everything. He didn't know how to explain to Rowan what happened once he's back. Rowan would go insane if he found what happened to Arabella. He caressed her face which was slowly getting cold and kissed her forehead.

"I'm so sorry Bella. Rest in peace. I love you" he muttered before turning and leaving the room.
