"Bella.. Are you sleepy?"

Arabella turned and looked at Rowan as she heard his voice. Looking at him, she smiled. She was not sleepy at all. She was just so happy, she was happy because he proved that he loved her and he would never leave her for another woman. The words he told her were honest and truth, just like he said, he proved that he would never choose another woman over her.


"No.." stepping towards him, she hugged him and rested her chin against his chest as she looked up at him. Rowan smiled at her and wrapped his arms around her before placing a lovely kiss on her forehead. Then he watched her for a while with the same smile on his face and again kissed her forehead. Arabella giggled as he kissed her forehead.

"You better sleep now lady" he teased her and caressed her waist. Then moving his hands, he caressed her face and sighed. Seeing his handsome and lovely face, Arabella hugged him tightly and buried her face against his firm and warm chest. She loved inhaling his scent. That scent was so unique and comfortable.

"How can I sleep since you walked away as soon as I fell asleep?"


Looking at him, Arabella said. Rowan chuckled hearing her and hugged her against his chest tightly. Then he shook his head and watched her for a while before answering.

"I won't go tonight, I have no tasks to do," he said honestly.


Looking at his eyes, Arabella nodded at him and then smiled. His eyes looked so gorgeous and honest. She loved seeing his eyes and she just simply loved the way he looked at her with pure love filled eyes. Tiptoeing, she kissed his sharp jaw line and smiled.

"Okay… you better stay in the bed when I wake up" pinching his chest, Arabella muttered. Then Rowan raised his arms with surrender and nodded at her. His actions made her laugh. Looking at him for a while, she sighed then spoke looking into his eyes.

"How did she find us Rowan?" she asked him.

"I don't know.. Maybe she had felt my scent.." Rowan replied. Hearing him, Arabella sighed. Maybe that has happened for real. Suddenly, a question popped up in her mind and she looked at Rowan with her eyes widened.

"You didn't feel her scent?" she asked him.

Then Rowan stared at her for a while and smiled. Shaking his head, he lowered his head and kissed her neck. His actions were confusing but wrapping her arms around him, she waited for him to answer her question. If he could feel his mate's scent, why didn't he tell that to her?

"I can't feel her scent Bella, I have marked you and I can only feel your scent now. Once a man with royal blood marks a woman, she becomes his only living woman. Other women are dead to him and don't feel anything about other females. That's how our blood works. So I can only feel your scent, heartbeat and your thoughts"

Arabella's heart skipped a beat with his answer. She bit her lower lip and she smiled at him shyly. She was so happy because of him and she got no words to describe the happiness in her heart. She happily looked at him and pecked on his thin sexy lips before letting out a deep sigh. She thought about why she wasted so many years with Lucien without being together with Rowan.

Rowan was the man in her life and she was wrong about all the things. She didn't have to ignore him because of Lucien but she never thought something like this would happen to her life and their lives. Thinking about the things she smiled at Rowan and sighed. She wanted to have a good and peaceful life from now on. She wanted to be with the man she loved and she didn't want to get abandoned by anyone.

"Thank you! I love you so much Rowan. I regret about the time I wasted with Lucien" her words were honest.

She looked at him and her eyes reddened and tears filled in them. She felt so bad, she was not a virgin when she came to him and she was a broken woman but yet he just simply loved her and made her happy. She never thought that she would be able to live like this.

He cured her, he made the parasite in her body, left her body and he just made her pregnant. She never thought that she would be able to be a mother and bear a child. She was about to die but here he is, protecting her from everything and simply loved her ignoring her past. If it was another man, he would get advantages from her but Rowan never did. Thinking about all the things, the love in her heart increased and she couldn't help but hug him so tightly.

"Oh… I got something for you" Raising her head, Arabella looked at Rowan. Then he smiled at her and slowly broke the hug before putting his hand to the pocket in his pants. Arabella didn't know what he had for her, she was curious and she looked at him with a confused face.

"Here…" then taking out a little box, he opened it making Arabella smile at him. She looked at the earrings in the box. Her heart was filled with happiness and love seeing them. She slowly moved closer to him and touched the box in his hand as she watched the beautiful earrings inside of it. Then she looked up at Rowan.

"Beautiful!" she muttered.

Rowan watched her for a while and his lips slowly curled upwards to a smile. Then he shook his head and looked at the earrings in his hand. Arabella frowned as he did that, she didn't know why he shook his head. The earrings are so beautiful but can't he see the beauty in them?

"Not as beautiful as you are!"

He smiled and looked at her. A blush appeared on her face and she bit her lower lip syly before lowering her head. She felt shy after hearing him. Then she looked up at him and smiled as Rowan kissed her forehead. He was such a sweet talker and he knew how to control her feelings every time.

"Bella, I know that I should give you a right instead of earrings but.. I don't know what will happen in the future. So I decided to give you these before leaving. I really don't want to leave you but you know, I got no other choices" Arabella's smile slowly faded as she heard Rowan. Her heart tightened and she looked at him. Looking at his face, her heart was stabbed and subconsciously her eyes moistened.

"Why? Why are you not giving me a ring? You should give me a ring, Rowan" she said, moving her hands and clutching his shirt tightly. Then he stared at her and forcefully smiled. Smiling at her, he raised his hand and wiped the tears in her face. Arabella's heart was aching and she felt that he was going to say something that would hurt her.

"I can't make a promise not knowing if I would ever be able to keep it. I don't want to break promises Bella, I will not. And at the same time, I can't tie you up with a promise once I'm gone. If I couldn't return you should have a happy life, if you find someone, you need to be with him"

"That's why I give you these. This is my love and loyalty to you."

Tears rolled down from her eyes hearing him. Looking at Rowan, Arabella bit her lower lip and pulled herself away from him. She felt angry and hurt after hearing him. How can he just say something like that? Why does he always think like that? She asked herself staring at his emerald eyes. Then she lowered her eyes and looked at the earrings in his hand before clenching her jaws.

"I don't want to! I don't accept these. Just go away! If you want to give me something, give me a ring! I don't want your loyalty and love while I already have it. Just give me a promise and go or once you're back I will not be here!"

"You can't play with me at this point Rowan! I am pregnant for the goddess's sake! How can you hurt me by telling me these things? I don't want to! I don't want to be with another man. What's wrong with you? I gave you permission to go there and just like I gave you what you wanted, you should also give me what I want!"

"I know it is a war and it is dangerous but you have to come back to this damn house. I don't mind you are losing your legs, hands or anything but I want you alive here! I want my son to have a father!"
