Arabella woke up around six in the morning. And as soon as she woke up, she did nothing but walk out of the room wanting to see if Rowan had come. Walking downstairs, Arabella saw that Lucien was sitting on the sofa with blood in his shirt. Arabella's heart tightened. She looked at Lucien and then looked around wanting to see Rowan but he was nowhere to be seen. She didn't know why Lucien was here and what he has to do in this house this early in the morning.

"Where's Rowan?" She asked Lucien as she walked towards him. Then his eyes fell on her and he stared at her for a while before clenching his jaws. Seeing Lucien's reaction, Arabella sighed and waited for him to answer her question. But her heart was hammering against her chest.


"Inside of the washroom"

Arabella sighed in relief as she heard what Lucien said. She was scared with her whole damn life. Watching Lucien for a while, she walked towards the washroom downstairs of the house. As she stopped in front of the washroom, she heard the sound of water splashing. Knowing that Rowan was inside, Arabella sighed and turned to leave. Then she walked back into the living room and looked at Lucien.

"What happened?" she asked, pointing his blood filled shirt. She didn't know what had happened with Lucien and why he was here but she didn't want to walk away as if she saw nothing. As she asked, Lucien looked at her and sighed, then he simply got up from the sofa and forcefully smiled at her.


"I have to leave Bella. Rowan will explain to you" smiling at her, Lucien walked out of the house and simply walked away with his head lowered.

Watching him leaving, Arabella sighed. Did she ever think that the man she loved for more than ten years would be a stranger to her? Looking at the way Lucien left, she thought. Then Arabella sighed and lowered her head because the past is past and she had nothing to do with it anymore.


Lucien was the one who destroyed everything and now he had no way to fix everything so Arabella felt that Lucien was also giving up on her and trying to forget her knowing that she would never be with him again. Of course, Arabella would never be with him again. She swore that to herself everyday Lucien hurt her. Their mate bond had completely broken and she felt nothing about Lucien anymore. And she didn't want to feel too.

Forgetting her thoughts, he sighed and closed the door before walking upstairs. Then she entered the washroom and took a shower quickly. Wrapping the towel around her body, she came out of the washroom. As Arabella walked out of the washroom, at the same time Rowan entered the room. Then he smiled looking at her. Seeing his simple smile, Arabella sighed, he was just simply smiling at her as if nothing happened.

"Where did you go?" She asked him while walking towards the dressing room.

Then she entered it and grabbed a simple dress which was not uncomfortable and wore it. Then Rowan also entered the dressing room and simply hugged her from behind. Lowering her head, she looked at Rowan's arm to see that there were so many cuts in his hands.

"What happened, Rowan?" She asked him again.

She wanted to know and Lucien also said that Rowan would explain it to her. Buttoning the buttons in her dress, she turned to Rowan and looked at his emerald eyes. Then he smiled at her and kissed her forehead without uttering a word. Scanning all over Rowan's body, she saw so many new wounds and new cut marks and scratches on his body.

"I went to the dark forest last night!" he replied caressing her face. Arabella already knows that he went to the dark forest but the thing she didn't know was the reason behind it. She wanted to know why he went there so suddenly and why he went there at that time. It was night time and he went there without even caring about how dangerous it could be inside of the dark forest.

"I know. I'm asking why you went there and how these things appeared on your body suddenly. These were not on you last evening!" she said pointing the wounds on his body. Rowan watched her for a while and groaned. Then he wrapped his arms around her waist and lowered his head as he kissed her neck.

"For the goddess's sake don't get angry Bella, look at you! You're always getting angry with your pregnancy hormones. So you always shout at me knowing that I'm innocent"

Arabella couldn't help but smile hearing him. She sighed and looked at his face, then saw he was also smiling at her. Knowing that he did it to make her smile, she pinched his chest hard making him chuckle.

"I'm angry because when I woke up at night, you were not there and you were not even inside of the house." Arabella said looking at him.

Then Rowan chuckled and shook his head. Watching his relaxed face for a while, Arabella felt that she would go insane without him. She didn't even want to think about the fact that Rowan would not be in this house after a week.

"I thought you would not wake up at night with the way you were sleeping" teasing her, he moved his hands and gripped her butt making Arabella hit his chest. He really liked doing this to her. Gripping her butt, he always got such a good time. Raising her arms, she wrapped them around his neck and looked at his glowing emeralds.

"You better tell me what happened there and why you went there at that hour!"

Her voice was warning him. Rowan watched her face for a while and smiled at her. Then he obediently nodded at her and kissed her forehead. Seeing his reaction, Arabella smiled back at him with the thought of him telling her everything that happened last night.

"You know, there are creatures here at night. Last night, Lucien and I found where those creatures came from. So after finding that, we found that they have a queen to control them. We couldn't find the queen of them but we destroyed the tunnel that they were living" Hearing him, Arabella sighed.

Then her mind filled with the creatures that she saw. She had seen those creatures three times. First time was in the massive yard, the second time was in the dark forest when she was with Rowan and the third time was in here. In the courtyard of this house. Thinking about those creatures, her heart shuddered along with her body. She was really scared of those creatures.

"I know you are scared of them Bella, but no need to be scared anymore. Lucien said that he knows where those creatures' queen is. So he would kill her too! So there will not be creatures anymore here and no need to be scared to go out of the house at night"

Rowan's voice was serious and honest as he spoke. Looking at him for a while, Arabella smiled at him forcefully and nodded.

"But I'm still scared to stay here once you're gone" her eyes reddened but she forcefully smiled at him as she said that.

Hearing her, Rowan's jaws clenched and he pressed his lips together before lowering his head, breaking the eye contact in them. She knew that it was also so hard for him to leave her but he had to leave and she could understand the situation but yet she had selfish thoughts in her.

She didn't want him to leave and she just simply didn't want him to stay away from her baby and her. She wanted to be with him and she wanted him for herself. She wanted him to hold her when she was in pain just like the doctor mentioned before. Her eyes covered with tears and she sighed without telling anything. Moving away from Rowan, she wiped her tears.

"Get changed and come, I'll make the breakfast quickly" she said with a smile and walked out of the dressing room knowing that Rowan was hurt. As she came out of the dressing room, she lowered her head and tears covered her eyes and slowly teardrops fell from her eyes making her heart feel the pain with the thought of him leaving in a week.

She again wiped her tears with her palms and walked out of the room and went downstairs wanting to go to the kitchen. As she entered the kitchen, she saw the woman who was here last night had made everything and cleaned the kitchen completely. Then looking at Arabella she smiled brightly.
