"What does it look like? Tell me everything" Rowan said in a calm voice.

His mind was an utterly mess. He had lived in this house for years but something like this never happened. And he was curious because this thing happened while he was away and Arabella was alone at the house. He couldn't understand what was happening but for some unknown reason, he felt that the creatures were focusing on Arabella.


"No need to describe that disgusting creature my lord. Every creature that is wandering around at this hour is just simply disgusting and ugly. That creature is also like that." Hearing Edwin, Rowan nodded. There's no need to think about how it looked because it's just simply disgusting and scary, just like Arabella had mentioned before.

"How did you get injured, my lord?"

Rowan's eyes turned sharp. He looked at Edwin and sighed as he remembered what happened to him when he was inside of the forest. He never thought that something like that would happen. Lowering his head, he looked at his hands before clenching his jaws.


"Things are getting complicated day by day. I don't understand what to do Edwin. I feel that I need to leave soon. But how can I leave her like this? After everything?" his depressed voice made Edwin's heart clenched. Rowan rubbed his forehead and shook his head not knowing what to do. He was both helpless and lost. He didn't understand what to do and how to face this damn situation.

"No matter what, you have to leave. You should get back your crown from the people who snatched it. That was the main goal in your life." Edwin was right. Rowan was always asked to get his crown back from the vampires who killed his parents and snatched the kingdom. To his luck, his mother saved his life and asked Edwin to take him away. She sacrificed herself for him.


So he needed to pay back for her sacrifice. He needed to get his kingdom back. His people were tortured to death, women had to become sex slaves for vampires while children became blood bags for them to suck. Remembering it, Rowan's heart filled with both anger and so much untold pain. He had endured everything for years, he had to endure everything because he needed to live and get the things back once he lost.

"I know but…" he uttered in a low voice before letting out a deep and complicated sigh. He felt the pain. He felt the pain of leaving Arabella. He didn't want to do it but he had no other choice. He will have to leave and get his kingdom back. And after that, he will come to her but he can't tell how long it will take for him to come back to her. So he didn't feel like leaving her but at the same time, he didn't want to take her with him because it would be nothing but a deadly thing to Arabella.

"Vampires are coming here and this wound was made by a little vampire kid. I have no idea why they are using small children to capture me. Instead of sending their men, they use children in small ages. Those bastards!" Rowan's voice was calm and deadly. The disgust and anger he held for vampires. Vampires are the most heartless bastards in the world. Rowan fucking hated those pale creatures.

"You killed the child

?" Rowan's body stiffened hearing as he was aimed by Edwin's question. His mind started to recall the face of the little boy who had a fear filled face as soon as he saw Rowan. Rowan knew the boy was a vampire but he couldn't bring himself to kill the kid as soon as he felt that the kid was a vampire.

"Go back. Don't come here. This is not a place for a vampire." he gazed at the kid and uttered. The boy looked up at Rowan with tear filled eyes before shaking his little head. Rowan didn't know what to do, he didn't want to kill the boy. He was just a kid. Rowan hated vampires because they didn't even spare a little kid's life.

But Rowan couldn't do it. He just couldn't force himself to kill the boy knowing that the boy was sent by vampires to find him and harm him. No matter what, he was a little kid. As the boy gazed at Rowan, he pulled out a silver dagger and pointed it towards Rowan with a trembling hand.

"I can't go back.. Without taking your blood." the boy uttered. Rowan watched his face and sighed. Without taking his blood? Why would vampires need his blood? To make sure that he was dead or do they have some other plan? He questioned himself looking at the boy. He shook his head, he cannot let the boy take his blood because it will be a disadvantage in the future.

Vampires technology was good and they had wizards with them. So taking his blood to them will be a fucking trouble in the future. Rowan sighed and shook his head looking at the boy. There was no way for him to give blood to this boy. If he does that, it would be a betrayal to his people who were still waiting for their prince to come and save them from the darkness of vampires.

"I can't give you my blood kid. Just go back and tell that you couldn't find me" Rowan turned to leave but before he could leave, the kid pounded into him and stabbed him with the silver dagger against his shoulder. A painful cry escaped from Rowan as silver pierced his skin and burned his flesh. '

His eyes sharpened, the anger surged into him with great pain. He grabbed the kid from his hair and threw him away angrily. His wolf was furious and trying to take control over him but he didn't let his wolf take control because his wolf would just kill the child without even thinking about anything.

'We shall kill him, Rowan! Do not stop me!' the inner self of him spoke making Rowan couldn't force his wolf's strength back. No one will ever find how strong his wolf was. Not only that, he had something weird inside of him which was always talking to him when it comes to situations like this.

'No! He's a kid! We can't kill' Rowan replied as he took a few steps back from the child not wanting to harm him. He was having a great battle inside of him with his wolf and his inner self. Both of them were on one side while Rowan was alone with the decision he had about the vampire kid. He didn't want to kill. Killing will not solve everything.

'You need to kill this child if you want to have a bright future for the child that Arabella will give birth to! Don't be a fucking fool! This kid has one intention and it is to take your blood to his elders.'

'You can't make your people lose their lives because of a kid, Rowan.'

Rowan's eyes were covered with tears. He couldn't force himself to hurt the kid but his heart tightened as the kid drifted towards him and stabbed on the same wound he had on Rowan's shoulder. At the same time, Rowan's wolf took control over Rowan and snapped the kid's neck making his lifeless body fall down.

Rowan shook his head and covered his shoulder with his hands while tears in his eyes. The kid who was on the ground had tears in his eyes. It was obvious that the kid didn't want to do it but he didn't have the choice. He was helpless. Rowan clenched his jaws and bent down before carrying the kid. Then he placed him on a corner of a tree where he will meet sunlight tomorrow morning.

Rowan groaned painfully and dragged himself out of the forest as his wolf gave him the full strength while slowly healing his wound.

"I killed the child!"

Rowan forced himself to forget that painful incident back and looked at Edwin as he spoke. He killed the child. He sighed and lowered his head remembering what his inner self told him earlier.

'You need to kill this child if you want to have a bright future for the child that Arabella will give birth to!'

He needed to give a bright future to his child. Arabella would soon get pregnant and he could feel it but before everything, he needed to fix everything back.
