The slap Arabella gave Lucien made Lucien stand there watching her leaving with Rowan with pain. He didn't know what was wrong with him and why he was so upset with the thing that she was with Rowan. Seeing the way they were walking away with their hands together, his heart was covered with unknown feelings. He felt hurt to see them together and he just felt that he had completely lost her.

After they completely disappeared from his sight, he sighed and lowered his head as he looked at Milena who was still watching the direction both Arabella and Rowan left. For some unknown reason, Lucien felt that Milena's attitudes towards Arabella had somewhat changed. Milena didn't have to be angry at Arabella anymore. They are already married but yet, Milena was hiding something and looking at Arabella with hatred.


Seeing Milena, Lucien's eyes turned cold. Ever since he marked her, he felt weird. He felt that she was strange and she was not a werewolf. And the taste of her blood was disgusting to him. Lucien's mind was a mess and he felt that something terrible had happened without his knowledge. He clenched his jaws and ignored the feelings and thoughts inside of him and then spoke.

"Why did you do something like that?" he asked her coldly.

Then she looked at him and waited for a while before ignoring him and sitting on the chair which Rowan was sitting on. Seeing her actions, Lucien's heart turned cold. He gritted his teeth before taking the seat and looking at her as he waited for her answer.


"Look at her… even dared to slap you" Milena said angrily while clenching her jaws. Lucien watched the expressions of Milena and cursed under his breath. He didn't know why she was like this. He received the slap because this woman came and disturbed Arabella and Rowan. Looking at Milena's he chuckled and spoke.

"Why did you want to dine with them? You were fucking unreasonable Milena. And what the hell even Arabella meant before? She said that you're looking at her man" Lucien's voice was cold and angry as he spoke. He felt that Arabella was not lying. He also felt Milena looking at Rowan. Seeing Milena's facial expressions she had after he asked that, Lucien clenched his jaws angrily.


"Who knows? That bitch is crazy. Why would I have to look at her man? I already have the best man in entire pack" Lucien was shocked to hear Milena's words. Bitch? He had never heard her use this kind of words before. Is this the real Milena? He asked himself, looking at her. She looked changed and she just simply looked fucking angry at someone or something. He didn't know what was happening with her and why she suddenly changed but he's going to find it soon.

He was especially going to find out why her blood was disgusting. Because it was fucking impossible to feel a she-wolf's blood disgusting to a male wolf. Even if a she-wolf's blood didn't taste much when a male wolf marked her, it would never be disgusting because that was fucking impossible. He tapped the desk with his two fingers as he thought about those things.

He didn't know the reason behind Milena's sudden change but he was going to find that and until then he needed to stay silent without letting her feel that he was finding out about her. He watched her face for a while and lowered his head. Then a waiter came and gave the menu to them. Without even asking Milena what she wanted to eat, he just simply ordered the food and waited for it.

As he silently waited, he couldn't help but recall Arabella's face. She had completely changed. The smile she had on her face every time she saw him was nowhere to be found. She was not smiling at him, she was not looking at him with those lovely eyes she always had. She was just not like the same Arabella once she was. Her difference made his heart ache. His wolf hated seeing her with Rowan and he just simply howled from pain every time he saw Arabella and Rowan like that.

Lucien lowered his head and raised his hand as he touched his right cheek which was slapped by Arabella. She had never hit him and she had never said those kind of hurtful things to him but today she said that she regretted being with him. Her words pierced his heart, he felt the pain inside of his chest as he never expected. He clenched his jaws wanting to forget what happened earlier but he couldn't because his mind was suppressed by Arabella's gorgeous face.

"What are you thinking?"

His thoughts were interrupted by Milena's voice. He looked at her as she placed her hand on his hand and caressed his palm in a loving manner. She smiled at him and sighed. Seeing her smiling face, his heart didn't soften as it always did. He looked into her eyes and clenched his jaws without uttering a word. Then at the same time their food was served to the table.

Lucien sighed and started to have his dinner without speaking to Milena. While he was having his meal, he felt that Milena was looking at him. Without letting her know that he was ignoring her, he looked at her and smiled. Then she watched him for a whole and smiled back before continuing her food. Part of his heart felt guilty towards Milena while the other part of his heart wanted Arabella back but he knew that getting Arabella back was impossible with Rowan beside her.

She just simply looked as if she was deeply in love with Rowan. The way she looked at him and the way she wrapped her arms around him just simply showed that they were too close to each other. She was acting as he was nothing to him and Rowan was her everything but maybe, she had given up on him. He was already married and he had hurt her so fucking much. Lucien's mind was a mess and he just simply started to think about everything that he did to hurt Arabella.

Regret and pain rocked inside of him for unknown reasons. He couldn't help but cry when she cried coming after him and told him that she was his mate and to be with her again. He heartlessly ignored her and hurt her with everything he had but now he feels that the thing he did was fucking wrong. He just had to think about her before stating everything freshly with Milena.

No matter what, Arabella was the girl he grew up with ever since he was a kid. She was the first thing of his life when it comes to love, experiences and sex. She was his first kiss, she was his first woman and she was the woman he experienced everything together. But now everything is gone and there's no turning back. She will never come back to him again. He lost the appetite of the meal and he stopped eating before looking at Milena.

Seeing that she was about to finish her meal, he sighed and waited for her. She raised her head and looked at him suddenly as she smiled at him. Then she looked at his plate before her eyes turned into worried eyes. Lucien forcefully smiled at her as he saw her expression. Then finishing her food, Milena spoke.

"Why don't you finish the meal? Please have it Lucien" she muttered with a worried voice. Lucien watched her face and sighed before shaking his head. He wasn't in the mood to finish his food or even take a bite. Getting up from his seat, he walked towards her and gave his hand to her. Then she smiled and took his hand before getting up from the chair.

"Let's go. I don't feel like eating Milena" he said. Milena stared at him for a while and then nodded at him. But she looked worried. He knew that she was worried because of he's not eating but he skipped her worried look and walked out of the restaurant with her after paying the bill.

"Lucien, I'm sorry if you're upset with what happened. It was really my fault" while walking back home, Milena uttered, hugging his arm. Lucien lowered his head and looked at her as he saw the worried and guilty face of hers. Not wanting to make her even worried and sad, he just simply nodded at her and kissed her forehead. It was true that her words and attitudes made him angry but he didn't want to make her upset by telling those things and yelling at her.
