"I know it's hard.. I'm sorry"

Arabella shook her head hearing Rowan. It was not hard but the pain was hard for her. She couldn't endure the pain inside of her chest. Their mate bond broke but it didn't break completely. That means she had more to endure. Moving closer to Rowan, she wrapped her arms around his neck with tears in her eyes.


"He broke the last promise. From now on I will never think about him again. I promise you"

Arabella's words were dangerously honest. She was telling him the truth, she didn't want to think about Lucien and he just simply broke his every promise. So she didn't want him and she didn't want to recall anything about their past. It was true that she had an affair with him and they had spent so much time together but now.. Nothing is valuable and important to her.

"I know.." hugging her tightly, Rowan kissed her head. Her eyes were covered with tears and she felt the pain inside of her body. She couldn't believe what was happening but some strange things happened inside of her body without even knowing. Arabella closed her eyes and stayed for a while. Then she felt dizzy, the parasite was acting up again but this time, everything was strange.


"Take… me home" her voice was trembling, her body began to tremble. She came into the forest with Rowan wanting to go for a walk but she couldn't, her body was aching and burning.

"What's wrong?" picking her up, Rowan asked her. Arabella didn't have the strength to speak to him. She shook her head and hugged him tightly. Soon she felt Rowan was taking her back. After taking her home, he placed her on the bed and looked at her. Arabella was in pain, she started to struggle and suddenly, her eyes snapped open.


"Rowan…. Stay away… I need to stay alone.. Please…" her eyes were filled with tears as she spoke but Rowan shook his head. She looked into his fear filled emerald eyes and saw he was both scared and hurt. But she didn't want him to stay closer to her at this time because she had no idea what would happen.

"No, I'm not leaving" he said clenching his jaws but Arabella shook her head furiously. She didn't want him to stay here and she was scared. She felt that the parasite was about to come out so she didn't want him to stay here.

What if the parasite went into his body? No way… she didn't even want to think about it. She looked at Rowan and hardly sat up on the bed. Then she placed her both hands against his one arm and pushed him away with all her strength. She wanted him to leave the room and let her stay alone.

"Leave. Please Rowan.. I'm so tired" she muttered looking into his emerald eyes. His eyes suddenly filled with tears and he took a step back from the bed. Arabella sighed in relief as he did that. That's what she wanted him to do. He shook his head and watched her for a while before clenching his jaws helplessly.

"Please…" she muttered.

Her body was aching and she felt it was burning with the parasite who was sucking her blood aggressively. He stared at her for a while and hesitated but then he walked out of the room making Arabella sigh in relief. She clutched the bedsheet tightly enduring the pain but she didn't have any idea about what was happening to her all of sudden.

Maybe it was because Lucien marked Milena. Tears rolled down from her eyes. She couldn't believe how fast the world changes. The boy she grew up with and the boy she fell in love with so madly just got married to another woman. But the most hurtful thing was that he is not acknowledging his own mate. Shaking her head, Arabella forced herself not to think about it.

She promised Rowan that she would not think about Lucien again. So she will not break her promise. She didn't want to break promises and she knew how it felt when someone broke promises. Because she knew that pain, she will never want to become like that and break her own promises.

Her wolf howled from pain as she felt the parasite's painful actions. She breathed heavily while enduring the pain. But suddenly, she felt something was dripping down from her nose. Raising her trembling hand, she touched her nose as she felt a liquid. She didn't want to look at her hand because she knew it was blood. Tears filled in her eyes, she felt that she was going to die but she didn't want to die.

She didn't want to die because of someone. Her mind kept repeating Rowan's face and his smile. She didn't want to leave him, she was selfish and she just wanted to be loved by him. She loved the way he took care of her and the way he looked at her with love filled eyes. So if she died now, she will never be able to have that love from him.

Time passed slowly, it was already evening. Arabella was holding her pain for hours now. No matter what, she didn't let Rowan come into the room. She was hurt and she didn't want to see him. Seeing him means that she will never have peace in her mind. Peace to leave the world. If he came here, she would never want to die. So she didn't want him to come in.

As the night fell, suddenly, she felt the pain of her lower body and she knew what was happening. She let out a mouthful blood as she felt Lucien was having sex with Milena. Her heart was suffocating and her body had turned blue. She struggled on the bed and pillows fell down from the bed because of her painful struggle.

Suddenly, the door of the room opened and she looked at Rowan who was looking at her with wide eyes. He had waited, he waited for hours giving her time as she wanted but not anymore. He stared at her for a while and shook his head. Then he simply came to her as he sat on the bed.

"Drink the blood." Arabella was shocked to hear him. She was in a daze, and couldn't think anything properly. Looking away from him, she bit her lower lip so hard. But she was grabbed by Rowan and he hugged her against his chest as he kissed her head.

Tears rolled down from her eyes. She felt helpless and in pain. She didn't want to leave this man. She loved him.. She's already in love with him. She lived with him only for a month but she had started to love him. Then she felt him removing her dress, Arabella's pain grew heavier as she felt Lucien's insane sex with Milena.

"Drink my blood. It will cure you. I finally found the way" he whispered against her ear making her heart go numb. She didn't want… drinking his blood is way too dangerous. It could pass the parasite to his body. She didn't want to make him sick, he was a strong man.

"No.." she tried to push him away but she couldn't. She couldn't do it because he was hugging her so tightly.

"If you think, it will pass the parasite to me, it will never happen Arabella. Just do it.." he muttered. No matter what he said, she didn't want to do it. Even though she died here now, she was happy because he even put himself in danger to save him. He should have been that man she had loved, not Lucien.

"Well.. then I have another way to make your pain go away" He said and pushed her against the bed, then he took off his shirt and looked at Arabella. Arabella knew what he meant and she didn't mind him doing that to her. She stared at his face and closed her eyes before raising her trembling hands and hugging his strong shoulders.

"Don't you ever regret tonight. From now on you're officially mine" she heard him saying. Biting her lips, she let out a small nod before taking a deep breath that was filled with pain.
