"Lucien… What's wrong?"

Lucien looked at Milena as he heard her voice. He sighed and smiled at her before shaking his head. Then he lowered his head and looked at his meal but he didn't even feel an appetite to eat. After seeing Arabella with Rowan here and after hearing the way she talked without even caring about anything made his heart fill with displeasure.


"Why did you ask them to come to our wedding?" Lucien asked Milena as he took a bite of his meal. Then he raised his head and looked at Milena who had a strange expression on her eyes. Lucien didn't miss the way her lips slowly curled upwards to a small smirk but looking at him, she immediately smiled sweetly pushing that smirk away.

"Isn't it good? Their alpha is getting married and of course they should come"

Milena spoke with a proud tone. Lucien said nothing but stared at Milena because he felt something was not right about Milena. She was strange and she just looked as if she was jealous of Arabella. But Lucien groaned and shook that thought away because why does she have to get jealous of Arabella? Arabella should be the one who should be jealous of Milena.


Lucien smiled at Milena and continued his meal without uttering a word. Even if he ate, he didn't feel anything, he just didn't even feel the taste of his food. He was just simply upset because of what he saw earlier. The way Arabella kissed Rowan's cheek made his heart fill with unknown emotions. His wolf growled angrily and possessively but he just couldn't understand anything. He was in a mess with everything what's happening around him.

Hearing Arabella saying that she was dating Rowan and she was living with him, it made his heart clumsy. He sighed and looked at Milena who was having her meal. He felt guilty, he just simply felt that he was doing something unfair to her by thinking about Arabella while she was sitting next to him. But he was not thinking about Arabella intentionally, something unknown forcing him to think about her and he didn't have an idea what it was.


"I'm happy that she's with Rowan. If not, she's still coming after you and I hate that. No matter how much we said that you're mine, she kept coming after you for two years but now I think her brain has gotten back to her. That's why I think she had given up on you" Hearing Milena, Lucien's heart tightened. He stared at her as she spoke while eating. Staring at her for a while, he clenched his jaws and looked away.

He was angry after hearing her. But at the same time he didn't want to get angry at her because the things she said were true. Arabella came after him for two years telling that she loved him and she was his mate. She begged him to be with her, she cried and sobbed in front of him but he heartlessly ignored her and hurt her with everything he had. And now, she's not coming after him anymore. She was not smiling at him anymore, she just simply ignored him as she looked at Rowan as if he was her everything.

"Yes" Lucien replied while looking out of the huge glass window. His heart was a mess, he didn't know why everything was happening all of a sudden. He never felt these kinds of feelings towards Arabella for two damn years but now.. He was just simply suffering because of something that he didn't even know. But maybe he should be happy because finally he got rid of her.

After they were done having dinner, Lucien took Milena back home without going anywhere. He just simply didn't have a mind to take her somewhere and have fun because his mind was with Arabella. He didn't know what she was doing with Rowan and where they left but he didn't want them to be together. As he entered the house with Milena, he stopped and watched her for a while before letting out a deep sigh.

"Milena. Take a rest, I'll go to the pack house and come" he said. Then she looked back at him with a frown. Watching him for a while, she sighed and nodded before smiling at him and walking towards him. Kissing on his cheek, she smiled and walked into the house without saying anything.

As she walked upstairs, Lucien walked out of the house. Then he walked through the road and simply walked where Rowan's house was. As he stopped in front of Rowan's house, he saw that there were no lights inside of the house. Everything was dark and calm. He sighed knowing that they were not at home. Waiting there for a while, he turned and left as he walked towards the forest with an annoying heart.

He couldn't forget her, he couldn't take her out of his mind. He thought about Arabella as he walked into the forest, then suddenly, he stopped at a place seeing fireflies. He frowned, then waited for a while before walking towards the place. He didn't know but for some unknown reason, his heart was scared and beating fast.

"A-Ahh…" his actions subconsciously stopped as he heard a voice of a woman. He clenched his jaws, then he took a few steps ahead and stopped looking at Arabella and Rowan. His heart shattered into pieces seeing them. His eyes turned red, his wolf let out a painful cry seeing them.

Arabella and Rowan were kissing. Sitting on the grass ground, while fireflies are moving around them, Rowan was kissing as if she was his greatest treasure. Arabella was sitting on his lap, while wrapping her legs around him. Her creamy while legs were exposed and Rowan was moving his hands through her thighs. Arabella was wrapping her hands around his neck and her fingertips were traveling through his hair as they kissed.

Hugging each other intimately, they just look like a couple who were deeply in love with each other. Soon, Rowan left her lips and moved towards her neck. Then he moved her raven hair aside as he started to kiss her neck and collarbones. Arabella giggled as he did that, then she pinched his shoulder playfully, tilting her head back and looking up at the sky with a smile on her face.

Lucien watched the view in front of him and his fists unknowingly curled into balls. He stared at them with a suffocating feeling inside of his chest. He was confused with the pain inside of his chest, he had never felt this before. He was just shocked. And at the same time, his wolf was howling agony. Staring at Arabella and Rowan for a while, he lowered his head.

He didn't have the heart to bother them or disturb them. His heart was aching, he again raised his head and looked at Arabella who was looking at him. So she felt him? He looked into her eyes, then he saw nothing but emptiness in them. She was staring at him while her hands were caressing Rowan's hair but soon, she moved her eyes from his and hugged Rowan as she buried her face against his neck. Watching her for a while, Lucien turned to leave as his mind started to recall what he did to her a year ago.

His mind started to show him the way she cried looking at him. She covered her mouth and stopped the sound of her cries. He saw how hurt she was that day, he witnessed the way her body trembled. But instead of stopping what he was doing, he just hurt her even more and now he can understand it. He can understand how hurt she was at that time. And at the same time how broken she was.

Is it karma? He asked himself as he walked away from them. His heart was aching but he ignored it and went away letting them be with each other.
