Curling up on the bed, Arabella buried her face against the bedsheet. Her body was trembling, tears were leaking out of her eyes without stopping. Her mind kept repeating the past of him and her. But now, everything is gone. Soon her silent cries turned to sobs, not knowing she started to sob loudly. She couldn't control herself.

"Close your eyes, I got something for you"


Hugging her from the behind, he whispered against her ear. A beautiful smile appeared on her face as she heard him. She obediently nodded at him and closed her eyes, waiting for him to do what he planned. Soon she felt a cold metal against her finger, biting her lips, she opened her eyes and looked at the ring Lucien just put into her finger.

Happiness surged into her mind, she couldn't believe that he gave a ring to her. Not knowing how to react or how to endure the happiness in her heart, she immediately looked at him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Lucien smiled looking at her face, his gorgeous smile made her heart flutter. Looking into his blue orbs, she waited for a while before pecking on his lips.

"Keep it with you, I'll put this ring again on our wedding day" he muttered, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her to him.


Arabella nodded at him, happy tears filled in her eyes and she just buried her face against his chest. She was happy, she was just so happy. He was her everything, and she was his everything too. Lowering her head, she again looked at the ring on her hand and smiled happily. Wiping her tears, she looked up at him and kissed his jaw.

"Thank you Lucien. I love it, I will never lose it, okay?" she said.


"You shouldn't lose it or I'll just throw you into the river" he sighed and said as he bent down and carried her before walking towards the river.

"Alright… I won't.. Don't do this now!"

She hit his shoulders while laughing. She knew that he was going to throw her into the river in the next second because he loved doing it. He just always carried her there and threw her into the river and then laughed. She had experienced it more than a hundred times as they grew up together.

"Lucien… you jerk!" she creamed as he threw her into the river and started to laugh.

Looking at his laughing face, her heart filled with love and care for him. Ignoring the fact that he always bullies her by doing this, she sighed and gave her hand to him. Walking towards her, he laughed again and gave his hand to help her to come out but instead of going out, she pulled him to the water wanting him to feel how cold the water was.

"Well, you'll get punished tonight!"

He grabbed her from her waist and whispered against her ear as he lowered his head and captured her lips to a passionate kiss. Arabella smiled and wrapped her arms around his neck as she kissed him back.

"Bella? What's wrong?"

Hearing her brother's voice knocking against her door, she forced her memories back. Then she immediately got up from the bed and wiped her tears before walking towards the door and opening it. She looked at her brother who was standing at the door with a worried expression, then she sighed and smiled at him as he walked in.

"You were crying because of Lucien?" he asked.

"I gave him everything he gave me" she smiled and sat on the bed as her brother sat next to her. She looked at him and saw he had a serious look on his face but she failed to understand the reason.

"Let's leave here. We can go somewhere else and live. I don't want to see you like this. I've already informed Lucien that I won't be his beta anymore"

Arabella was shocked. She didn't expect something like this from her brother. Looking at his serious face, she sighed and placed her hand on his hand. She also wanted to leave and she thought about it many times, but why does she have to leave? She hasn't done anything wrong and it was not her fault about everything.

"Areic, it's okay. I can endure this and why do we have to leave here? We were born here and we belong here so there's no need for us to leave. I'm trying my best to forget him so just help me with it."

"I don't want to run away like a broken woman! Even if I leave here, I'm leaving after I completely got rid of every single feeling I have for him. So no need for us to leave"

Resting her head on his shoulder, she muttered. There's no need for them to leave, if someone should leave, it will always be Milena because she was the one who suddenly barged into their lives from nowhere. She was not his mate and Arabella was but Arabella failed to let Lucien feel it. So all she got was pain for the past two years.

"But he's getting married and that will hurt you" he muttered.

"I know… but I want to see him getting married to her so I can help myself with everything" with a painful smile, she muttered. She really wanted it, she wanted to see him with her own eyes. She just wanted to see him getting married to someone instead of her.

She was just waiting for him to break the final promise. He broke all the promises he gave her, and this was the last one remaining unbroken. So it will break soon too, she was waiting for that before she completely gave up on him.

"I don't understand Bella, don't suffer yourself for nothing," he said, hugging her.

She smiled and nodded as she sighed. Then after staying like that for sometime, Areic suddenly looked at her with questioning eyes. Seeing his eyes, she raised her perfect eyebrows not knowing what's on his mind.

"What about Rowan? You slept with him?" he asked her.

A blush appeared on her face and she immediately hit Areic's head because of the thing he said. She didn't sleep with him, what the hell? She just stayed in his house and that's all. She slept on his bed but he didn't even enter the room that night, he slept in the guest room.

"Don't be stupid Areic" she sighed.

"Then why the hell are you blushing? Look at you." he chuckled and pinched her rosy cheeks before getting up on the bed.

"I'm not blushing, just go away! Let me sleep" she rolled her eyes and laid on the bed. Then covering herself with the quilt, she looked at Areic who was smirking at her. His smirk made her heart go numb.

She knew her brother and she knew what it meant when he smirked like that. Grabbing a pillow, she threw it against his face and sighed.

"Well, why don't you be with him? He's perfect in all ways and also loves you. Instead of going after that lunatic, getting together with Rowan will be nice."

"But remember Bella, Rowan is not a normal guy. He's just hiding dark secrets with him. No one knows and maybe no one will ever know so think about everything before taking a decision"

"But I can swear that he will never harm you"

He said as he winked at her and walked out of the room, closing the door behind him. She stared at the door as he left and her mind was a mess. What did he even mean? Dark secrets? He's not normal? She couldn't believe what her brother said. Her mind slowly started to recall how Rowan killed those creatures without even getting tired or hurt.

Not only that, his wolf was also gorgeous and looked so dangerous. He was so big and strong. Anyone who sees his wolf would think that he was an alpha. Forcing her thoughts back, she closed her eyes to sleep.
