Lucien emotionlessly watched the way Arabella wrapped her arm around Rowan's arm. Suddenly, his heart hurt for some unknown reason but soon it disappeared and was replaced with the same disgusting feeling he had towards her.

"Oh, are they seeing each other?" Lucien looked at Milena and sighed as she asked that.


"Who cares even if they are seeing each other?" Milena smiled at him sweetly and nodded hearing him. She was really satisfied with the way Lucien acted towards Arabella. She can be sure that he really has no feelings for Arabella anymore.

"Lucien, let's talk" Lucien looked at Areic who just came to him. He nodded and looked at Milena as he kissed her forehead before leaving with Areic.

"So how's everything?"


Lucien chuckled and shook his head seeing his beta talking to him as if he was a stranger and they met after a long time. He waited for a while and scanned Areic's expression and clenched his jaws.

"I'll be honest with you Lucien, I think it's time for you to find a new beta. You can understand me, right?"


Lucien's eyes were sharp and emotionless, he looked into Areic's eyes and clenched his fists. Losing Areic's as his beta means he will be at disadvantage. After him, Areic and Rowan were the strongest warriors in their pack and also Arabella but she was no matter to him anymore.

"Why?" he asked.

A smile appeared on Areic's face hearing his question. Taking a few steps away from Lucien, Areic answered.

"I can't call her Luna, Lucien, and also I don't want to stay here anymore after you get married to her. I'm moving away with Arabella. I can't lose my sister because of you. Your heart knows what you did to her no matter how much you tried to deny the fact that you guys aren't mates"

"Hope you will find a beta who can satisfy you like you found your Luna."

A reflective shudder ran through his body hearing Areic reasons. He was not afraid at all, he simply rejected Milena being Luna of this pack. And what the hell was he talking about? He's moving away with Arabella? That means he won't be able to see her again in this lifetime?

His wolf suddenly let out a whimper hearing that, his heart tightened and unknown feelings surged into his mind with pain in his head.

Areic's words kept reaping inside of his head and he just couldn't forget it. He rubbed his forehead and clenched his jaws before talking.

"If she's my mate, why can't I feel it, Areic? We had a relationship in the past and I'm not gonna deny it but Milena is my mate and I can feel her so there's no way for me to think that Arabella is my mate"

"And what do you mean by losing your sister because of me?" He questioned Areic.

Lucien couldn't understand the meaning of his words. How can it be him? He didn't do anything to Arabella. All he did was warn her not to come near him again. But he knew there's something that he didn't know or he couldn't remember.

"One day you'll understand the pain you caused her, Lucien. I'm sorry but from now on I won't be your beta."

With that answer, Areic walked away from him without even looking back at him. One day? Will that day really come? He asked himself as he watched Areic leaving. His heart was hurting and he could feel that his wolf was also upset because of some unknown reason.

He didn't understand what was the reason for his wolf's sudden difference. When he was with Arabella, he felt that his wolf was also attracted to her but he never told him that she was his mate.

He lowered his head and looked at his hands. He remembered he was holding her hand all the time and he remembered how they spent time together but his memories are slowly fading away while he cannot remember a word Arabella told him when they were together.

Even if he couldn't remember what she said, he knew that she did nothing but lie to him with everything she had. So a woman like her doesn't deserve to be his mate or Luna. Milena had everything to be his Luna. She was honest, innocent and caring and his mind kept repeating that Milena would make a great Luna.

"Lucien.."

He was pulled back from his thoughts as he heard Milena's voice. He looked at her and smiled as he walked towards her. He looked at her face but he found she was somewhat pale. Caressing the skin on her face, he kissed her forehead.

"Are you okay?" he asked.

Then she looked up at him and nodded with a small smile playing on her lips but soon, she fainted making his heart filled with fear of losing her.

"Milena.. What's wrong?" he spoke as he gently patted her face but she didn't wake up. Ignoring everything, Lucien carried her and ran towards the hospital. After sending her into the emergency room, he waited at the door.

He was scared, scared if he would lose her and at the same time he felt he had experienced the same kind of fear before but he couldn't remember why that is or for whom he felt the fear. Ignoring the unknown feelings he patiently waited until the doctors came out.

Finally, after waiting for a long time, two doctors came out and looked at him as they lowered their eyes and sighed.

"Alpha, nothing is wrong with her and we cannot find any problem in her body but we found something" one doctor said with a nervous voice.

"Speak!" Lucien was impatient as he ordered.

"Well, I don't think she can get pregnant. Her body was somewhat strange and we found that she won't be able to give birth to a child"

Lucien's body shook violently hearing the doctors. He stared at the doctor who spoke to him for a while and nodded before walking away. Milena cannot have children? But how? His heart was aching. The dream of having a child with Milena was not a possible one and that made his heart hurt.

He just walked into the forest with pain inside of his chest. While he was walking through the forest he heard a sound of someone singing. Suddenly, his wolf became somewhat energetic and he paid attention to the voice.

Lucien walked towards the direction a woman was singing and unintentionally he was already standing a few feet away from Arabella who was singing. She was sitting on the rock in front of the river and tears were rolling down from her eyes.

Her voice was broken but yet beautiful. Lucien watched her for a while and suddenly his mind started to show him how she sang for him when they were together but he couldn't see much because his head felt like it was going to explode with pain.

She was beautiful and lovely, he clenched his jaws and watched her without even moving. He didn't want to leave, and his wolf also didn't want to leave. All he wanted to do was watch her without letting her know.

"Lucien.. When can we go there again?" Arabella's voice suddenly appeared in his mind, he was shocked to hear her because he had never heard her voice like this. He felt like it was a memory.

"Bella, you like this?"

Lucien's heart turned cold seeing Rowan who came to her with two daffodils. He hated, he hated to see them together and his blood boiled with anger as she smiled at Roman and nodded as he placed the flower behind her ear.

Seeing them, he turned and left with fury burning inside of his heart and just like him, his wolf was also furious. He couldn't understand the reason behind his sudden fury. He didn't want her and he was done with her but why did he hate it when she was with Rowan? Remembering the way she wrapped her arm around Rowan's arm made his heart turn cold again.

"Fuck!"

He cursed under his breath and walked away without giving a damn about them!
