Arabella slowly laid on the bed enduring the pain of her body, she closed her eyes wanting to sleep but she couldn't because Lucien's words were playing in her mind as if it was a bad record.

"I'm getting married at the end of this month. Stay away from me from now on"


His voice was everywhere inside of her head, she couldn't force her tears back. She didn't know how to see him marrying another woman. She was his mate and also his lover for years. Her wolf was whimpering, she was not strong enough to see her mate marking another woman.

"We will be alright. Don't cry"

Wiping her tears she whispered wanting to comfort her wolf, then she decided to sleep ignoring everything. She's going to die anyway so it's really good Lucien marrying Milena. Then he won't feel anything and she also doesn't have to be worried about him.


She had sworn to herself that she would stop loving him with her death and she didn't want to meet him ever again in any other lifetimes. She just didn't want a man like him, she wanted to be loved by her mate not to get hurt but she cannot stop loving him.

Arabella woke up in the next morning with the sourness of her body, the parasite was acting aggressively and she had no idea why that was happening suddenly. Even though she knew that it had something to do with Lucien, she couldn't understand.


She let out a deep sigh and threw those thoughts away and got up from the bed. Walking into the washroom, she grabbed a shower and then changed into a dress which Lucien had bought for her. Looking at the dresses inside of her wardrobe, her heart clenched. There were so many of them which were bought by him for her.

She clutched her dress tightly and walked out of her room and then downstairs as she entered the dining room. She smiled seeing her mother had already prepared the table with her favourite food. She sat on the chair and grabbed the chocolate pancake plate as her brother came and sat next to her.

He looked at Arabella and frowned, then he touched her face and caressed her skin as he smiled at her.

"You look pale," he muttered and stroked her hair.

Arabella forcefully smiled at him and shook her head. She was pale and she knew it but there was no way that she would let her brother know what was going on with her body and what happened last night.

"I'm still sleepy"

She giggled and took his hand as she placed his hand on the table then placing two pancakes on her plate she raised her eyebrows at him.

"Bella, just eat it if you like," he laughed seeing her reaction.

Looking at her brother she also laughed with him. Then their mother came as they had breakfast together. Then her brother got up from the chair and sighed as he looked at Arabella, a painful smile appeared on his face. Then he patted her head.

"Bella, Lucien is going to announce his marriage with Milena today. Everyone should be there, you want to go?"

Arabella's heart froze, she waited for a while and looked up at her brother. He was Lucien's beta, even though he hated Lucien personally he didn't show it. He just did his duties as the beta of the pack.

"Yes I'm coming"

She smiled at her brother and said, hiding all the pain inside of her heart. She was hurt but she didn't want to let anyone see her pain but her brother knew how badly she was hurt by the man she loved.

Arabella got up from the chair and wrapped her arm around her brother's arm as she walked out of her house with him. Then they reached the hall of the pack house, everyone was there looking at the stage. And there was Milena who was standing beside Lucien with a proud look on her face.

Arabella watched Milena for a while as Milena's eyes fell on her. Looking at Arabella, her lips slowly curled upwards to a smirk and she wrapped her arm around Lucien's arm without looking away from Arabella's eyes. Moving her gaze away from Milena she looked at Lucien, who was talking to his mother.

Her eyes turned red seeing him, her heart ached and an unbearable pain surged into her but she endured everything and looked at him. He had changed within a blink, he was not the same man once he was. He just simply was not the same man who promised to marry her after taking her virginity. He had changed and thrown her away from his life as if she was nothing to him and the years they spent together was something ignorable.

"Take it easy angel, don't mind him. I'll introduce a good man to you"

Hearing her brother, she smiled and looked up at him. Then she nodded at him with a happy smile. It would be really great if she could be with someone but she knew she cannot betray her heart.

She moved her eyes and again looked at Lucien, he was looking at her. Her heart skipped a beat seeing him looking at her but he didn't waste time he just looked away from her and looked at Milena with a smile on his face. Even after what had happened, her heart still beat for him like the first time it happened with her.

"Well, everyone, I just wanted to make things clear about something. I'm marrying Milena at the end of this month and she will be your Luna from that day."

"About my past relationships and what I did in the past has nothing to do with me anymore because I only love Milena and she's my mate so only she can be the Luna of this pack. So I hope everyone will respect your future Luna"

Tears filled in Arabella's eyes looking at him, he was such a great alpha who only wants his mate to be Luna. she let out a sarcastic laugh as she watched him. Not only that he even dared to mention about his past relationships.

Arabella looked around the hall and saw, almost everyone who presented the hall was looking at her with apologetic gazes. She had become a pity to everyone and Lucien did it. It was all his fault. Letting out a deep breath she smiled at everyone who was looking at her.

Then she looked at Lucien who was already looking at her emotionlessly. She smiled at him too, then moved her eyes to Milena. She knew Milena was happy because of what happened. She came from nowhere and successfully snatched her man from her but Arabella had nothing to do anything because Milena could snatch him from her, because Lucien had let it happen. If not she would never be able to get a man like him.

"Bella, let's go" she nodded at her brother and walked away from the hall with everyone looking at her with respect.

No matter how many women Lucien married, the members in the pack will always treat her as their Luna, not the woman Lucien marries.

"Areic, let me. I'll be with her"

Before they could exit the hall, she heard Rowan's voice and she looked at him with a smile. Then her brother looked at her asking whether she wanted to be with him or not. Then she nodded at him with a smile as she moved her arm and wrapped it around Rowan's arm knowing that Lucien's eyes were on her.

If he can, why not her?
