[Two Months Later, Heidelberg, Germany]
Luana took a deep breath of the air that wafted around her.
The flight she took with Rey from Munich to Heidelberg was actually not too exhausting, because this time the couple chose to take Rey's private plane.
It felt like de javu.
Because of the moments and time they spent on the private plane, it inevitably made the two of them remember a similar incident in the past.
It was still vividly remembered in Luana's mind, how she raised her tone of voice and snorted irritably at Rey during their first trip to Heidelberg a few months ago.
At that time, the nobleman had not looked at Luana properly at all. At that time, Rey still chose to look the other way instead of looking at his own wife.
It was 180 degrees different from what happened on their second flight, because this time Rey did not even for a second let go of Luana's hand from his grasp.
There was no significant distance, the man was even busy leaning back and stealing kisses while stroking his wife's stomach which was now starting to appear enlarged. The baby bump had arrived, and that was Rey's new hobby now.
Stroking his wife's belly, putting his ear on her belly, talking to their baby, and many more things that he does with great joy.
This is probably what people say that we should never hate someone with all our souls. Because later if the situation is reversed, we will love even with all our body and soul.
"Finally! Heidelberg again!" exclaimed Luana happily, with her arms stretching in the air.
The city had always made her homesick, and Luana was grateful they could go back there.
"Come on, honey." Rey draped an arm around Luana's shoulders, lowering the sunglasses she wore as a fashion statement that afternoon.
The air in Heidelberg was soothing, and Rey enjoyed that too.
Leading his wife to a willing car, Rey had indeed prepared everything well this time.
No business matters, no meetings with colleagues.
They will enjoy their time together, to make this vacation a memorable 'baby moon' vacation.
And not only that, because Rey has prepared a surprise that awaits his wife ahead.
The driver nodded his head with a friendly smile as Rey and Luana approached, then opened the car door for the couple.
"We're going straight there?"
Luana broke the silence after the car moved from where it was parked earlier, turning her head to her husband who was sitting right beside her.
Rey smiled. "Right, sweetheart. I guess you don't want to waste time, do you?"
Luana's blood rippled silently, as a smile also spread. Her man was indeed capable of giving her everything she wanted, and Luana could not ask for more than this.
Approaching Rey to lean against the nobleman's firm chest, Luana whispered softly.
"I haven't seen her in so long," Luana said softly. "I really miss her, Rey."
Rey took his wife's hand, glancing for a moment at Luana's finger that still had their wedding ring on it.
"Sorry for making you wait so long, sweetheart." Rey rubbed his wife's hand. "This time, I'll make sure you see her."
Luana nodded faintly in her husband's arms, her gaze slowly wandering.
The flashes of memories still seemed real and very clear, as if they were dancing in her eyes.
Until without realizing it, the pregnant woman fell asleep in her husband's arms, with the car driving on the asphalt at a moderate speed.
Having traveled for almost forty-five minutes, the driver who was hired by Rey now reduced the speed of the car slowly.
Turning his head not fully towards the back, the man who was probably in his thirties greeted Rey very politely.
"We have arrived, sir."
Rey, who had stayed awake during the trip, replied with one word, then tried to move slowly to wake his wife.
"Luana, we're here."
Wriggling and still overcome with sleepiness, Luana forced her eyelids open. Finding Rey staring at her so soothingly, Luana grimaced at having unconsciously fallen asleep during their journey.
"Arrived already?"
"Already, sweetheart. Are you still sleepy? We can wait a little longer if you still want to sleep."
Luana shook her head quickly and rubbed her face to draw all the life she had left out there.
Her consciousness returned.
"Come on, I don't want to waste any time," she invited after making sure her face didn't look wrinkled in her small mirror.
As Luana prepared to get off, Rey waited for her right outside the car. The man's beady eyes circled the scene, just before Luana stood beside him.
"Come on, we have to hike," Rey said this time.
Obeying her husband's words, Luana draped one hand between the man's arms. Following where Rey's footsteps led, Luana was amazed by the place they were now visiting.
"This is so beautiful, Rey," Luana murmured with a look around. "I'm sure she'll love it here."
Rey smiled faintly, nodding.
"I hope so too, sweetheart," he continued with a smile. "Ah, yes. I have something prepared for you, Luana."
Looking up to stare at her husband, Luana widened her bead.
"You prepared something? What is it?"
Rey cleared his throat softly before speaking up.
"You said your cousins were sent to Stuttgart, right?" Rey opened his sentence. "I secretly tracked them down, and thankfully they are all in good health."
Luana's eyes widened. Almost in disbelief, because now the woman's steps stopped abruptly.
"You tracked them?" she asked, still in shock. "Oh my God, Rey... I'm really speechless."
Rey muttered a small laugh in the air, feeling a burst of happiness at his wife's response. It wasn't anything big, but he was grateful if it made Luana happy.
After all, her happiness was his top priority.
"Yes, and not just that," Rey said again. "You might be surprised or cry, but look...."
The man's eyes were directed forward, which reflexively made Luana look away from her husband's handsome face.
Her eyes couldn't lie, because now she was looking at some people waiting for them at the top of the road.
Her cousin. The rest of her family.
"Rachel!" Luana's voice was almost hoarse. "Shan! Phillip!"
Luana had never expected to see her three cousins who had been her friends growing up, who were now there waiting for her.
Who would have thought that the four cousins who were separated by distance and time could be reunited in this beautiful place - the place where their grandmother's grave was moved by Rey to a much more appropriate cemetery.
And now, the four cousins can greet each other again, right in front of their grandmother's grave.
Staring once again at Rey, Luana looked teary-eyed.
"Thank you, Rey," she whispered clearly. "What would I be without you?"
Not waiting for an answer from the man, Luana had already broken her stride to rush into the arms of her three cousins.
Rey, who was a few steps behind, now put both hands in his pockets, walking slowly because he did not want to disturb the moment of meeting four people who had been separated for years.
Hugging each other, both Luana and her cousins seemed to let each other go. Rubbing their arms, rubbing their heads, and holding hands as a sign that they really miss each other among the time that continues to pass.
Right in front of the grave of their beloved grandmother, the four of them cried. Letting the universe bear witness to their love and affection for their grandmother who is now sleeping in a beautiful grave, the four of them simultaneously mumble a prayer.
Asking for only good and beautiful things to come into their lives. Asking for strength even if there are bad things to come, hopefully they will continue to be strong in facing everything.
Pulling Rey's hand who stood two steps behind her cousin's line, Luana grasped her husband's hand tightly as she aligned herself.
"I love you, Rey," she whispered with her head up. "I told grandmother to bless us. If she's still here, I'm sure she'll love you as much as she loves all of us."
Rey smiled happily.
"You were asking how you would be without me, weren't you, darling?" Rey whispered back. "That will never happen, because I don't know what my life would be like without you."
Luana's bead traced her husband's bluish irises, finding sincerity and love in them.
"I can't even imagine it, so let's stay together until the end," Rey continued. "I love you, Luana Lueic, and I always will."
Luana rushed into her husband's arms, clinging tightly to the man who had stolen her entire heart and life. For anything, Luana was sure she could get through anything, as long as it was with Rey.
As long as it was with this man, she wouldn't ask for anything else.
"I already got a name for our child," Rey whispered suddenly. Making Luana raise her head again, looking closely at the man.
"Already?"
Rey nodded confidently.
"If it's a boy, let's name him Ben Atalaric Lueic," the nobleman said firmly.
"If it's a girl?"
"If she's a girl, then the most appropriate name for her would be Asyela Rosaline Lueic."
Luana's smile broadened, followed by a nod that signaled her agreement.
"What a beautiful name, darling," she murmured in a half-whisper. "I like it, Asyela Rosaline Lueic."
Rey held his wife tightly again, as his blue irises moved to read the name on the headstone.
'Rosaline Heryes.'
