Valerie looked surprised for a moment, but just as her bead met Luana's, she chuckled.

"Ah, what a typical bodyguard," Valerie laughed awkwardly. "You intend to leave your boy's club?"

Rey pulled the corners of his lips wider.

"Sort of," he replied quickly. "I think it would be more fun here, since I'm with my wife. Don't you think?"

Luana blushed visibly, unable to contain the rosy hue that now contrasted her alabaster-white face.

No longer clasping each other, Rey now wrapped one arm around her waist.

Hugging her in the most possessive way in the world. As if he wanted to keep showing everyone that this beautiful woman was his.

"All right," Valerie said after seeming to think for a moment. "I guess I can arrange that for you."

Of course there was always a loophole for someone as influential as Rey Lueic, right?

"Thank you, Val," Rey and Luana said almost simultaneously.

"I will be a regular donor to our association," Rey continued, now happily. And of course, Valerie happily accepted that as well.

"Ah, alright!" Valerie greeted. "Why didn't you join this club in the first place, Mr. Rey?"

The three of them chuckled almost simultaneously, just as Valerie had turned around to take over the room.

Giving instructions to the other members, Valerie started the club meeting by greeting each other. In accordance with the agenda, this time the club members would spend some time together painting.

All the equipment that had been provided was now neatly arranged, complete with poles for the canvas and a bench for the impromptu painter.

Rey and Luana also took their positions, which were in the second row of the six available rows.

A painter was the guest tutor for this session, who had taken over the class since Valerie had also taken her place.

Giving directions, the painter explained well what color combinations and images would be easy for the nobles to paint on their canvases.

"So, paint with all your heart, about anything," said the tutor standing in the center of the room. "Imagine without limitations, let your brushstrokes lead to a captivating masterpiece later."

Rey and Luana who were sitting next to each other looked at each other, both already holding a paint container with a brush in one hand.

Smiling at each other, both of them moved their brushes on the clean white canvas.

Rey seemed too serious in staring at his canvas, until he unknowingly drowned in the sea of paint and strokes that were beautifully engraved in front of him.

Unaware that an hour and a half had passed, the man gazed contentedly at the picture he painted on the blank canvas. Now no longer blank, the canvas had been colored with objects that looked very real.

Ignoring his paint-splattered fingers and hands, Rey smiled contentedly as he glanced at his wife.

"Honey."

Without looking away, Luana just cleared her throat softly.

"Hmm?"

"I'm done."

There was still half an hour left of the allotted time, but look at how much Rey was done with his work.

"Really?" Luana turned her head this time, finding Rey sitting up straight and proud.

"Come here," Rey called with a hand gesture. "You should see this first."

Shifting after placing her paint container on the table, Luana pulled on her apron to rise from her chair.

Stepping towards her husband's side, Luana was dumbfounded because what she saw now was not really a tin can.

It was a painting that was... exquisite.

"Rey," Luana whispered softly.

Rey pulled his wife to sit on his lap and looked in the same direction.

"I painted our son," the man whispered right at the back of Luana's neck. "How do you think?"

Luana couldn't put it into words, but let the painting do the talking.

The combination of very precise colors, with details that could not be hidden, had formed an object that looked so real.

Luana almost shed tears, because the longer she looked at the painting, the deeper her love for her husband and the child she was carrying.

"You painted it very well, dear." This time it was Luana who whispered, very quietly as if she didn't want the other club members to hear her. "It turns out that your painting is really amazing."

Rey was still smiling, very proud of the achievement he made at the first meeting in his new club. Technically he hadn't switched clubs yet, but this would definitely be a good first impression to build his self-image.

Rey was grateful that today's agenda was painting, one of his hobbies and skills that he had not had time to hone. It had been quite a while since Rey last held a brush and scratched colors on a canvas.

"How did you paint it?" asked Luana still in a whisper. "Are you imagining me?"

Rey almost laughed, but thankfully he could contain it so as not to cause a commotion for the members who were still busy scratching brushes.

It's like they're professional painters, even though they're drawing nothing.

"I imagined you," Rey whispered. "More precisely, imagining you under me."

Luana reflexively pinched her husband's sturdy arm, which made him grimace softly.

"Speak the truth!" Luana exclaimed under her breath. "If you had thought of that, it wouldn't be like this!"

Rey carved a smile. His wife was absolutely right.

"I thought about you and me, Luana," Rey said finally, in a half-serious tone. "I imagined what our child would look like, and my brush led me to paint him."

Their gazes drifted back to the same canvas, meeting gazes with the one object that seemed to come to life there.

"He's beautiful," Luana praised with almost teary eyes. "Thank you, you're very good at painting them."

Both of them were still staring at the object of Rey's painting, until the nobleman now stole a kiss on his wife's neck.

"Kiss me, madam," he whispered softly.

Luana widened her bead, looking disapproving. But it seemed her husband needed to be rewarded for painting so well, so that's where the man's reward lay.

A small, brief peck landed on his cheek, just before Luana got up and moved to reclaim her seat. Finishing her almost finished painting, the woman glanced once more at Rey who spoke words through his lips.

"Ich liebe dich (I love you)," she said quietly.

And will continue to do so.
