The night was rising as the couple clung to each other. The news broadcast Rey was watching had just ended a few minutes ago, now leaving the box office movies that had been repeatedly shown on television.

Completely unmoving from the room, it seems that both Rey and Luana really don't want to let distance separate them. Even when the dinner that Rey ordered through room service arrived, the nobleman seemed reluctant to move from Luana's side.

If not for the fear of dying if he didn't eat (too much) and worrying about the health of their baby growing in his wife's womb, Rey would probably choose to lick Luana's pink lips all night.

If only love could fill you up.

Finishing their dinner with two glasses of fruit juice, the two of them went back to snuggling under the blanket as the air conditioning was quite bone-chilling. But at least both of them felt happy, because there were more reasons to cling to each other tonight.

Stroking Luana's soft hair, Rey looked closely at his wife.

"So, you feel comfortable here?" the noble asked. "Do you like it here, Luana?"

Luana painted a smile that was followed by a quick nod. "They use lavender for the air freshener," Luana replied enthusiastically. One of the reasons she had switched hotels without hesitation was because the scent of the room in the hotel she had stayed in before was cloying. "And I like that."

"Do you like lavender?"

"I didn't, but I do now," Luana shook her head slowly. "I don't know, sometimes I don't realize how much I've changed lately."

The woman looked dreamy with thoughts that began to soar far away.

"I've become a picky eater, I get morning sickness, and some things confuse me."

Rey tightened their embrace, shielding her petite body from the cold as he pulled the blanket higher. "Confused?"

"I feel like someone else," Luana said honestly. "I used to not like this, but now I do. I used to not like this, but now I do. Well, do you think being pregnant makes a difference to a woman, Rey?"

Luana's spontaneous question made Rey blink a few times. Because honestly, he didn't know. He had indeed asked Beatrice to carry his child if they ever got married (which they didn't, thank God), because his father had longed for a successor in his extended family.

Occupying the position as Ryan Goette Lueic's only son, Rey knew he was the only hope to continue his father's lineage. At least he wants to give a son, or a daughter is also okay, as long as his father's condition is still fine.

Because Patricia --Rey's mother, has also wanted the same thing. A cute grandson.

"Maybe, dear," Rey finally replied after a few seconds' pause for thought. "Really, I don't know much about pregnancy. But now that you are carrying my child, our child, I'll learn slowly for you."

Luana's eyes lit up at everything Rey told her.

"Really? You want to be involved with this pregnancy?"

Rey unceremoniously linked his eyebrows, followed by a broad smile that made his face look too handsome.

Ah, Rey...

"Of course," greeted the man enthusiastically. "After all, it is the proof of our love, Luana. I'll take all the parts I can, even if I can replace your discomfort, I'll replace it for you."

What woman doesn't blush? That was also the reaction Luana could show, with a blush on her cheeks.

"I can make it through." Luana shifted her body to sit up straighter, turning a few degrees now to stare into her husband's blue bead. "I'm sure I can, because this is our child. Besides, I also have you by my side. That alone is enough, right?"

Rey sighed with a smile still hanging on.

"Say whatever you want, Luana," Rey pleaded sincerely. "Whatever you feel, whatever you want, whatever you need. I'll make sure we fulfill everything, I'll make sure you go through this time with ease and comfort. Understand?"

Rey really didn't need to reveal all, because Luana knew he would.

"Luana." This time Rey also sat up straighter, moving his body forward to reach for Luana's hand to clasp. "Maybe this won't be easy for us. But as long as we're together, you don't have to worry. You understand, right? Don't give up on me, don't give up on us. You have to be strong, because now you are carrying our child. Do you want to?"

Every word was melodious, like an intoxicating song to Luana. Her decision to stay by her husband's side must have been well thought out. Her desire to leave was no longer implicit, especially now that she had something to fight for.

Her baby, their child.

"Of course." Luana nodded her head. "I'll do it that way."

She knew Rey loved her, loved her. He had no doubts about the feelings that had grown in their hearts, because now the most important thing was to keep trusting each other.

No matter what might be ahead, no matter how strong the storms and waves that might hit their household.

"I'm strong now," Luana said with conviction. Her eyes radiated something sincere, which simply met Rey's bead. "I am strong, Rey. Just as you will risk everything to be with me, so I will also endure everything to be by your side."

The atmosphere in the room suddenly became blue, because now the intertwined fingers were getting tighter by the second.

"That's my wife," Rey praised proudly. "I'm proud and grateful to have you, Luana. So don't ever leave me, okay?"

I don't know how many times Rey repeated the same phrase, but Luana was still happy when she heard it.

"I promise," she said confidently. "Keep my promise."

Rey pulled her into his arms, after stealing a peck on her right cheek. The scent of Luana's body was always a comforting thing for Rey these days, even though the noble was now in a not-so-expensive hotel.

"By the way." Luana whispered on Rey's chest.

"Hmm?"

"I've been curious since before. How did you find me, Rey?" The curiosity of this was really creeping into her mind. Did Rey hire a detective? Did Rey look for her in all the hotels in Munich? Was that really the case?

"I didn't tell you that I was moving, but you even correctly pressed the bell of this new room," Luana continued Looking up, the woman was genuinely curious. "How it could be?"

Rey did not know whether he should tell this or not. But the expression on Luana's face as she waited for an answer was infuriating, as she now briefly pecked the top of the woman's nose.

"From your card, honey," Rey answered honestly. Luana might not understand such things, and Rey didn't mind explaining everything. "I got a notification that you booked a room at this hotel."

Luana looked surprised at first, before her eyes widened.

"Ah!" Reflexively patting her husband's chest, she chuckled. "It can be tracked from the card, huh? Sophisticated too. I didn't even think about it."

Rey's laughter still lingered on his lips, as he leaned down to kiss Luana's forehead again. "I was lucky to find you that fast. Next time, don't leave without notice. Understood?"

Luana knew she was guilty of it, and she had promised never to do it again. Just once was enough, because it seemed like the consequences she had caused were bigger than she could have ever imagined.
