Jovi was at a loss for words. The man could only watch, not yet knowing what sentence he should say in reply.

"You know, Jovi," Luana said again. "I was really hoping Beatrice would come back, so I could leave when she took her place."

Jovi grew silent, not expecting their young mistress to say something like this to him. He had no idea what Luana's intentions were, but her words sounded so sincere from the bottom of her heart.

"You shouldn't--"

Jovi had not yet finished his reply, when now a man's shout could be heard loudly in the background.

"My wife!"

Suddenly both turned to the source of the voice, both Jovi and Luana were surprised at what they saw at this time.

"My dear, I'm coming!"

The steps of the man who shouted earlier quickened, shouting something incomprehensible to Jovi and Luana.

"Master?!"

Jovi gasped when he realized that the one who had just caused the commotion was his master, who seemed to be walking with difficulty.

Rey approached.

He brushed past the upright Jovi, shoving him with one hand, causing his personal assistant to take a few steps back.

Jovi almost fell, but he could not do anything about it.

Rey approached Luana. The man's breathing sounded ragged, rising and falling irregularly. Rey's eyeballs stared intently at Luana, who was now frowning because she didn't understand what was going on.

Suddenly the man grinned. "So you're here, Mrs. Lueic?"

Luana reflexively waved a hand in front of her face, blocking out the distinctive odor of alcohol that was coming from her husband's mouth.

"You stink!" Luana exclaimed involuntarily. "Have you been drinking?"

She raised her voice an octave, almost nauseated by the unmistakable smell of alcohol.

If Rey usually didn't take it well when Luana raised her voice to him, this time it was different because the man chuckled softly.

"You know I love you, right?" the man said again.

Jovi listened to his master's words vaguely, as he chose to back away slowly.

Something might happen, and it was best for him to stand guard from a considerable distance at the moment. So that his master would have some privacy, so that he wouldn't end up as the mosquito repellent of the night.

Luana frowned even more. Rey stood right in front of her, seemingly not intending to move from there.

"What the hell are you talking about?!" retorted Luana still in a high tone. "You're drunk, huh?!"

The more Luana made noise, the more excited the feelings bubbling inside the nobleman's chest became.

The moonlight reflected the silhouette of Luana's face, which was clearly looking at Rey with a displeased look.

"I'm not drunk," Rey quickly argued. "I looked everywhere for you, but you're here alone without me."

Luana swallowed with difficulty. Examining the noble's eyeballs, the woman knew Rey was not in full consciousness.

The distinctive odor was proof that Rey had probably just downed a fair amount of alcohol.

The man would not be babbling like this, if he was not losing his mind.

Luana had yet to make a sound when Rey took two steps forward to cut the distance.

The man stood right between Luana's open legs, making the distance created between them even closer.

Putting her body on alert, Luana unconsciously backed her body to keep her distance.

"Why are you backing away?" Rey whispered softly. "Didn't you say you love me too?"

Luana was breathing quite hard that night, now that the smell of alcohol had completely overwhelmed her senses.

She didn't know how many glasses of alcohol Rey had downed, but it looked like the man needed help. Because Rey had begun to ramble, because the man had begun to speak incoherently.

"Jovi!"

Luana called out to Jovi, hoping that Rey's personal assistant would come to help him.

Rey raised his eyebrows together.

"Did you just call Jovi?" asked the man in an annoyed tone.

Not bothering to answer Rey's question, Luana looked back to check Jovi's whereabouts.

"Jovi?!" she repeated.

But she found no one back there, and now they were the only ones in the gazebo.

Luana's heart pounded loudly, wondering how to deal with Rey who was probably half-drunk.

"Don't call out to other men!" snapped Rey this time, hands moving quickly.

The man cupped his hands around Luana's cheeks, keeping her gaze fixed on him.

Rey's breath was still coming in gasps, and his sharp eyes were watching Luana intently.

"Am I not enough for you?" the noble whispered. "You said we loved each other, didn't you? But why did you leave me and dump me like this?"

Luana didn't know how to react, as this was her first experience dealing with a drunk person.

Unfortunately, that person was Rey and it seemed like reinforcements would not come easily.

"Answer me!" Rey exclaimed impatiently. "You know how much I love you, right?"

The man's tone sounded sad and wrenching this time, which just made Luana blink.

This man in front of her had already shown several different images, even within just two days of their introduction.

Rey's eyeballs seemed to radiate disappointment, with a clear cut wound. In stark contrast to how he acted during their wedding, the man looked so fragile as if he was carrying a heavy burden now.

"I love you," Rey whispered again. "Like this ocean, I only love you."

Luana couldn't help it when Rey simply cut the distance between them again, already landing his lips right on hers.

The woman gasped in surprise, not expecting Rey to do that to her. But Rey's lips were already roaming over hers, tasting how sweet the girl's pink lips were.

Luana tried to release their hold, when the signals in her brain warned her that this was not the right thing to do.

But again, Rey's strength was no match for hers. Two of the nobleman's hands still held her face, preventing her from going even an inch away from Rey.

With the breeze blowing, Rey leaned in to deepen their kiss. The heat just flowed, as now the man's passion seemed to have taken over.

Rey moved quickly to climb on top of Luana's body, pushing the girl forcefully so that Luana was unknowingly lying on the floor of the covered gazebo.

Just as Rey made room for them to catch their breath, Luana gasped with perfectly dilated eyeballs.

"Master!" the woman exclaimed. "Wake up! Please let me go!"

But Luana's cries were no louder than the sound of the crashing waves, which somehow managed to drown out the noise she was making.

"Don't scream, sweetheart. It'll just sap your strength before we even get started," Rey replied domineeringly.

The man was already at his limit.

Closer to Luana, Rey did not care how Luana begged him to move from his current position.

The gaping wounds, deep disappointment, and excessive alcohol successfully made Rey no longer recognize who he really was.

"I won't let you go," Rey whispered again, doing his best to hold back Luana who was still trying to rebel from his side.

"I won't let you go, not even a little. Because from the beginning, you were only mine."

Luana couldn't breathe properly as Rey buried his head in the hollow of her neck.

Showering her with kisses, Rey made Luana weak. Not even able to utter a word, when the nobleman's lips locked her lips again.

Luana winced, still trying to break free from Rey's grip which was getting stronger by the second.

'Please don't do it,' Luana whimpered silently. 'Because this isn't right, because I shouldn't be here.'

The more Luana tried to escape, the stronger Rey kept her under his control.

Until both of them were breathing heavily together after another long kiss, the sound of fireworks being thrown into the sky was a silent witness to the pair of human children who were still pressed against each other.

Biting the top of Luana's ear with the passion that had already risen, Rey began to whisper softly again. Revealing the dress Luana was wearing, Rey really wasn't going to back down anymore.

"You won't be able to get away from me. Not yesterday, not anytime."

And the light that glowed in the sky accompanied how Rey took what was rightfully his as a husband, making himself the full owner of Luana's life and body.

The man entered Luana with gentle but firm movements, not realizing that the woman was storing and remembering the events of this time in the deepest recesses of her heart.

Enduring the pain that she had felt for the first time, Luana unconsciously shed tears that fell unbidden.

Her body jerked repeatedly, forced to accept Rey's presence down there.

As the fireworks continued to burn, Luana felt how her heart was mercilessly slashed and torn apart at this moment.

Not because she did not want to fulfill her duty as a wife, but because Rey came to her and regarded her as someone else.

The woman's heart throbbed with pain, because every word Rey said earlier was not intended for her.

Because again it was not her, who should be the place for the man to return to.
