"Ah, damn it!" Rey cursed.
"Rey Lueic! Rey Lueic!"
The cheers of the few people sitting in front of Rey sounded very loud, at the same time deafening the man's eardrums.
The earth had begun to darken, as the sun returned to its resting place. Alternating with the moonlight that began to rise above, the night sky on the island now looked quite bright.
Rey gritted his jaw lazily, but the man had no choice.
"One more big glass, Rey!" exclaimed one of the women flanked by several other friends, as she leered happily at the nobleman.
The woman was wearing a tanktop with one strap draped over each shoulder, with a mound of chest that seemed to be forcibly accentuated.
Rey snorted. His eyeballs rolled perfectly, with both hands clasped around his waist.
"Now, enjoy your drink!" exclaimed one of the other friends, a man with cropped hair dyed grayish.
Thrusting a large glass of alcoholic drink in front of Rey, the man laughed broadly.
"Drink! Drink! Drink!" The bar's residents' voices echoed, airing the same thing in unison.
Rey took a quick glance at the large, tall glass that had just been placed in front of him. It was the third glass, which he had to drink in one go for the past few tens of minutes.
"You guys really pranked me tonight!" cursed Rey in an unadulterated tone of annoyance, as the man cast a glare at his friends.
But none of them seemed to fear Rey's gaze, as they clapped and cheered happily.
Circling a long, brownish table, the noble and his friends were playing and betting on trivial matters.
Waiting for the night, until the fireworks actually started later.
And unluckily, Rey had lost the bet three times, which now required him to drink the dark brown liquid.
"Come on, Rey!" Another friend encouraged. "This is all you've got, newlywed?!"
Followed by shouts and body movements to the beat of the thumping music in the background, it seemed Rey's friends were planning to get him drunk tonight.
Clenching his lips tightly, Rey's hand moved to reach for the large glass.
"One sip, Rey!" the others encouraged.
Their gazes were drawn to the nobleman, who was looking very handsome in a casual outfit. A bright white T-shirt covered his upper body, paired with knee-length shorts that were slightly darker in color.
"Look at this!" Rey replied smugly. "One drink, okay?!"
The clapping sounded again, as Rey pressed his lips to the edge of the glass.
Gulping down the alcoholic liquid with alternately narrowed and open eyes, Rey let his throat enjoy the hot and burning sensation it caused.
Again the clapping and cheering became the backsound, leading Rey to finish the liquid without a trace.
Raising the large glass in the air, Rey seemed to have fallen back into the rhythm of the ongoing game.
"This is the newlyweds!" A man next to Rey patted the nobleman's shoulder, raising both eyebrows in praise.
Rey knocked the glass onto the table, successfully carrying out the punishment he had to receive for losing.
"Again!" the man said encouragingly. "The night hasn't darkened yet, and don't stop until the party starts!"
Rey's exclamation was uplifting, igniting a sense of excitement that was simply in the air.
He and his friends were on the island to party, and that was the essence of the word party.
The couple at the far end of the island seemed to be ogling each other, as if they didn't care about the others around them.
Meanwhile, the women sitting among the men seemed to be constantly shaking their bodies, occasionally brushing their long hair back in sensual movements.
The clothes the women wore were very lacking in material, but that was the other side of life that existed on this earth.
The man beside Rey spun a bottle on the table, ready to restart their silly game.

Jovi crossed his arms in front of his chest.
The young man watched out of the corner of his eye, observing Luana dragging her feet on the vast expanse of white sand.
If the master was at the bar and enjoying the party, then their mistress chose to be alone by walking along the shoreline.
Unlike other women who didn't mind showing off their figure that night, Luana was dressed to the nines.
That night, Luana wore one long dress with a cardigan that protected her from the wind. Her hair was still tied up in a ponytail, neat and charming.
Keeping a safe distance, Jovi was on duty to observe all movements of Rey's wife.
Luana occasionally turned her head toward the sea and the sand beneath her feet, carrying the pair of flat shoes she had been wearing from her room.
But once on the beach, the woman chose to go barefoot. Enjoying how the sand clung to the soles of her feet, followed by the coming and going of the sea water.
Slowly stopping her steps, Luana approached a gazebo that looked empty.
Sitting with two legs stretched down, Luana looked straight at the dark sea. The moonlight up there provided just enough light, and she liked this kind of serene atmosphere.
"Come out!" said Luana suddenly.
No one else was around her, as Jovi now leaned forward cautiously.
"I'm telling you," Luana repeated. "Come here Jovi, I know you're there."
Jovi's eyeballs widened, not expecting their mistress to call him that night. He had a feeling he was hiding pretty well, but Luana had noticed him around.
Emerging from the dark left side, Jovi's shadow was now clearly visible on the sand. The man approached, standing next to the gazebo Luana was sitting in.
"Did your master tell you to follow me?" Luana asked then, followed by a nod towards Jovi.
The young man nodded.
"Yes, ma'am," he replied quickly. "Since the security of this island is not confirmed, I must keep watch around you."
Luana tugged at the corners of her lips to form a faint smile.
"Where is your master now?" she asked again.
After they arrived and entered one of the rooms that Jack had prepared earlier, Rey simply left Luana alone. He didn't even tell her where he was going, or where Luana should go next.
"Mr. Rey is at the bar," Jovi answered honestly. "He's with his friends, waiting for the fireworks to start."
Luana chose to stay silent for a few seconds. The girl's gaze wandered, alternately gazing at the sea and the sky spread out before her.
Taking a deep breath now, Luana opened her voice again.
"You must know Beatrice," Luana said in a medium volume. "Did your master order you to look for Beatrice?"
This time it was Jovi who fell silent. Luana's silhouette looked so graceful before his eyes, with a gentle face that was not made up.
Jovi raised his head to notice how their mistress was still lost in thought, as if she was thinking about something that filled her mind.
"I'm sorry, ma'am," Jovi replied this time. "I can't tell you that. But if you are curious, you can ask Mr. Rey directly."
Luana smiled bitterly.
Recalling how Rey had brought Beatrice's name up between them earlier, she couldn't help but feel frantic about what she was facing now.
"You'd better look for her," Luana said softly. She turned her head to find Jovi still staring at her intently.
"Because I also hope you will find Beatrice soon," Luana continued. "As someone who was by Rey's side, you must know it shouldn't be me that your master wants."
