"Miss Luana?"
The voice of someone coming from behind her made Luana turn her head.
The breeze blew the woman's hair, making Luana's mane move with the wind.
In fact, the wind was so strong that her hair, which had been wet when she stepped out of the hotel, was now dehydrated.
Thankfully, Luana had a gold-coloured hair tie in her sling bag, so she could now put her hair in a ponytail.
"Yes?"
The man who greeted Luana back there walked over with a bright smile on his face.
It seemed that the man was a little surprised because he did not expect to be reunited with the woman who was now standing right in front of him.
The closer the distance between them, the more Luana squinted. It seemed like she had seen this man before, but where?
The man kept a safe distance by stopping in front of Luana. His smile had yet to disappear when Luana was suddenly jolted by a memory.
"How are you?" the man asked. "Is it possible that you still remember me?"
Luana did not immediately answer the man's question.
Instead, the girl glanced to the right and left, making sure that not a single pair of eyes was looking at her at the moment. Of course, except for the pair of dusky eyeballs of the man who was still waiting for her answer.
"Mr.... Pedro?" asked Luana hesitantly.
Pedro Viscount smiled even more.
"Oh, thank goodness!" The man folded his arms across his chest. "I thought you might have forgotten, and I would have been very awkward for sure."
Luana published a smile at the corner of her lips.
She suddenly remembered her conversation with Rey last time and the rules she had to follow in the Lueic family. But didn't Rey say that saying hello was fine?
"What are you doing here?" Pedro asked this time. "Are you planning to sail?"
Luana didn't know. Did Rey really bring her there to board the ship, or just invite her to enjoy the scenery at the harbour? Or perhaps he intended to throw her overboard?
Because once out of the hotel where they were staying, Luana did not make a sound during the trip. Because Rey kept his distance from her, just like how they were in the same car after the impromptu wedding took place.
Along the way, Luana just watched out the window. Rey, beside her, seemed busy and immersed in the device in front of him.
"Ah, I don't know yet," Luana answered honestly, although a little stuttered.
She returned to look around, but again, the figures of Rey and Jovi did not appear in her eyes.
"I'm here with someone," Luana continued when she noticed Pedro's forehead wrinkle slightly. "And you, what are you doing here, Mr. Pedro?"
The man shook his head vaguely.
Letting the wind make the hem of his shirt move slowly as he linked his hands behind his waist.
"Me? Not too specific," he replied. "I was just checking around the harbour. Some of the fleets that dock here belong to my family."
Pedro said his sentence in a very low tone. There was no implication that he was bragging about anything, although Luana now unconsciously widened her eyes.
'Apparently, this man is not an ordinary man,' she thought silently.
"Ah, I see," Luana said briefly.
Paying attention to this man with an unflinching gaze, Luana simply compared Pedro and Rey, who had recently appeared in her life.
Rey had above-average arrogance and pride, while Pedro looked so friendly even though Luana was sure that his family must be no less respected.
Luana didn't know where she should go. On this occasion, Mare did not come with them. Only three people were in the car: Rey, Jovi, and herself.
Once at the harbour, the two men disappeared to say something, leaving Luana standing and looking around.
Pedro was just about to open his voice when the device ringing in his pocket was heard, breaking the silence.
Smiling at Luana and gesturing for permission to answer the phone, Pedro turned around and spoke fluent German.
Luana didn't mean to eavesdrop, but she overheard Pedro's words on the line.
"Sorry, Luana," Pedro turned back around. "I think I have to go now."
"Okay."
Luana nodded her head, giving the man a not-so-wide smile.
She was worried that someone was watching her from a distance and that her too-wide smile might cause her to get involved in another problem.
Pedro had to hurry, but the man now held out his cell phone to Luana.
"May I have your cell phone number, Miss Luana?" he asked very politely.
Luana gave a small gasp.
No one had ever asked for her cell phone number because she had never owned a cell phone in her life.
"I don't have one," Luana answered honestly.
Once again making Pedro frowned, followed by a faint smile as if what he had just heard was a joke.
How could a noble girl like Luana not have a cell phone?
Pedro's hand was still in the air, with a cell phone in his palm.
"Is that so?" Pedro asked for confirmation. "I don't think so--"
"Just call her on my number."
Out of nowhere, someone else's voice suddenly interrupted their conversation.
Like a ghost, Rey was already there and standing right beside Luana.
Thrusting a business card in front of Pedro, the man looked at Pedro with a rather sharp gaze.
Pedro looked away. Finding another man in front of him, the man tried to read the situation quickly.
"If you need to talk to her, just call my cell phone," Rey repeated again. But this time with a slightly scornful tone.
Pedro sighed as he lowered his hand. Returning Rey's gaze to him, the man now moved to greet the business card presented by Mr. Lueic.
Glancing at the identity printed on it, Pedro Viscount mastered the situation very carefully.
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Lueic," the man said this time. They even reached out to Rey to shake hands with the man.
Rey could be heard smirking at the corner of his lips. He didn't really want to welcome the man's hand, but it was not the etiquette of a noble to refuse like this.
"Nice to meet you too, sir..." Rey deliberately hung his sentence, even though he already knew who the young man in front of his wife was now.
"Pedro Viscount."
"Ah, yes. Mr. Pedro Viscout," Rey continued.
The handshake lasted a few seconds when Pedro turned his gaze back to Luana.
"I'll be going, Miss Luana," the man said politely. "See you soon, and take good care of yourself."
Luana froze, not knowing how to react. Thankfully, Pedro seemed in a hurry, as the man had already turned to swing around to the opposite side before Luana could even respond.
Pedro's departure left Luana and Rey pressed their lips tightly together, momentarily lost in their thoughts.
'Just like a ghost,' Luana thought. 'He comes out of nowhere and surprises us; maybe he has a hidden talent for divination.'
Ray relaxed his jaw, which had hardened. Hearing how the man had clearly called Luana 'Miss' in front of him made his mood plummet for no reason.
'I should have said she was my wife,' Rey said to himself. 'Damn it.'
Luana turned around first, casting a quick glance at Rey, who was still watching her with sharp eyes.
"Are you happy?" the man sneered in a very snotty tone.
Luana frowned, not understanding why Rey would say something like that to her.
What was wrong this time that Rey spoke like that? Luana only answered according to the facts at hand.
"Yes, I'm happy!" Luana did not want to be outdone.
The woman's answer made Rey gasp.
"What did you say?!" snapped the man unconsciously.
Luana clenched her fists tightly, holding back the annoyance that had just arrived.
"Buy me a cell phone!" she half shouted. "I'll call that guy because talking to him is way more fun than dealing with you!"
Stomping her foot on the ground, Luana had already turned around. Ignoring Rey, who was still standing back there, Luana kept up the pace even though she didn't know where to go.
"Crazy nobleman!" cursed Luana vehemently. "Why does he always raise his voice when talking to me? How annoying!"
Watching Luana move away, Rey's body trembled softly with anger.
That woman knew how to turn his anger dial up to the top level, and Rey did not like that.
