Luana blinked twice.

The stranger's embrace felt so tight that he was exerting his strength to keep Luana's body from falling. The glass of orange juice was still in Luana's grasp, thankfully not spilling, even though the woman had swayed a moment ago.

The small commotion that occurred in the beverage area certainly attracted the attention of other guests, not to mention Rey Lueic, who now turned his eyes to the source of the incident. His jaw hardened when he found that Luana was there, being watched by several pairs of watching eyes.

Rey's fingers clenched into fists.

This girl is just throwing a tantrum!

Luana came to her senses a few seconds later, righting her body position to now stand alone. The stranger's hand let go slowly, with a smile that had not disappeared from his face. It was warm and so friendly.

"Thank you, sir," Luana stammered.

The man nodded his head very respectfully. Standing face to face with this young and beautiful girl made him reflexively extend his hand in the style of a noble salute.

Rey was just about to take a step but suddenly stopped his long legs from swinging when the stranger reached out in front of Luana. Rey's eyeballs rolled, watching from where he stood, though the others no longer seemed to care.

"What is he..." the man hissed almost silently.

Luana did not move immediately. Looking at this man with blackish hair still holding out a hand, she wondered whether she should welcome the hand. But it seemed that the man did not give up, letting his hand float in the air.

Luana hesitantly accepted the hand, not realising that a pair of eyes were watching her intently from the other side.

The man gave a small peck on Luana's hand, typical for noble youths who paid their respects to high-caste girls like Luana. At least, that was what the man was thinking right now.

"Nice to meet you, miss," the man said politely. "I am Pedro, Pedro Viscount."

Luana withdrew her hand in a rather hasty motion. She knew the small peck that had landed on her right hand earlier had meant nothing other than to pay her respects.

But having a stranger touch her so freely felt so awkward.

"I'm Luana," Luana introduced herself. Considering whether she should mention that she was Mrs. Luana Lueic, as Rey had suggested earlier, she seemed too reluctant to say that name because she didn't deserve the big name Lueic.

"Nice to meet you, Miss Luana," Pedro greeted her with a bright smile. Luana could see a line of dimples drawn across the man's face, and it seemed they were not far apart in age.

"Me too," Luana replied briefly. "But sorry, I have to go now, Mr. Pedro. Thank you for helping me earlier."

The man named Pedro was just about to speak, but Luana was already moving faster than she looked. Her glass of orange juice was still in her hand as she stepped away from Pedro.

Unaware that Rey had been watching her movements, Luana focused only on herself. Not even noticing that Jovi was watching her closely from the corner, the man chose not to do anything when Rey gave him the code through his gaze.

Luana didn't know what kind of person Pedro Viscount was, but she should avoid men. After all, she was married now, with the Lueic surname behind her name.

Rey was no longer paying attention to the ramblings of his business colleagues about currency exchange rates and mining results when he felt a surge of anger in his heart. Like an ember, it seemed ready to swallow him right now.

The scene was explicit, and Rey saw how Luana reached out to the young man with no awkwardness. He inwardly cursed how Luana could cause this trouble, almost tarnishing his good name if she disrupted the event.

Jovi approached. Standing behind Rey with a nod of his head, Rey's personal assistant was already preparing.

"Gather information about him," Rey whispered. But clear enough for Jovi to hear, followed by another nod.

"Yes, sir."

Rey exhaled.

"Report everything to me, including which circle he belongs to and his business level. Don't leave any stone unturned. Do you understand?"

Rey gritted his teeth unconsciously, trying to slow down the rate of his heartbeat that had spiked a few minutes ago.

Luana was already standing on the other side, now choosing from the array of cakes. She paid no attention to the several pairs of male eyes fixed on her, and some of them seemed to be conversing with Luana.

One of the two men talking about Luana was not far from where Rey was standing, and the man could faintly hear how the two young men praised Luana's beauty in fluent German.

'Sie ist so schön (She is so beautiful)'

'Ihre Wangen und Lippen sehen wunderschön aus (Her cheeks and lips look so beautiful)'

'Ihr Mann muss der glücklichste Mensch sein (Her man must be the luckiest man)'

And all other compliments were directed at Luana, making Rey's ears turn red now. His eyeballs glanced sharply at the two men, who had no idea that the husband of the woman they were talking about was next to them.

"Tell Mare to come down," Rey ordered again. Jovi raised his head, waiting for further orders from his superior. "And bring the girl up. Do it as smoothly as possible so no one sees her leave."

Jovi nodded again, preparing to carry out his boss's request and calling Mare in one quick phone call, preparing to evacuate their Lady from the people there.

The dinner hadn't started yet, but Rey's mood had already soured. For some reason, the man didn't know either.

Mare came downstairs twelve minutes later, looking at Luana and whispering Lueic. Luana nodded, agreeing to follow Mare's footsteps, which led her to get out of there.

Rey was still watching from the corner of his eye, choosing to suppress the feelings of annoyance that were already present. But the man could breathe better after Luana and Mare passed through the exit.

Grabbing a glass of drink brought by a waiter who happened to pass by, Rey quenched his thirst in one gulp.

Luana should really be taught a lesson. She'll sees!
