Blair
I stared at him and he looked back at me. We both didn't move.
From next to me I saw Aiden look up, then a grin broke out on his face as he saw Zayn.
"Lucifer! Bro, I'm glad you made it!" Aiden said, greeting him.
I watched in shock as Zayn flashed him a boyish grin, leaving me stunned.
Wait...what?
I was so confused. I felt like a fish as my mouth opened and closed repeatedly.
I looked between the both of them, hoping that someone would explain this to me.
Then Aiden looked over at me and grabbed my hand, pulling me to his side.
Zayn's eyes followed Aiden's every move closely. Like a hawk watching it's prey.
"This is my favourite chica, Blair," Aiden said, wrapping his arm around my shoulder.
"Blair, this is Lucifer. But don't get too close, he's the biggest player you'll ever see." Aiden joked.
Zayn chuckled and I gape at him stupidly.
Since when does he show emotion? Since when did he have friends?
And why does it have to be Aiden, of all people.
"Well, I was going to take Blair out but, I can't leave a bro hanging, right?" Aiden chuckled and let go of me.
He walked closer to Zayn, leaving me standing there awkwardly.
Shaking my head, I turned around and walked away, heading in the direction of the stairs.
Maybe I should go for a run. Then I could try to comprehend what the fuck was going on.
Seeing Zayn again dug up old memories and emotions that were buried beneath all of the new ones.
I didn't have time to play Cat and Mouse games anymore. He'd be a fool to even think that.
Sighing, I finally reached outside and started jogging. I jogged straight into town and even then,
I just kept going. When I was out of breath, I stopped at a Café and went inside.
I checked the time on the wall clock in there and saw that two hours had passed since the encounter.
I took a seat and really started to assess things. Then I made up my mind.
From now until I die, I'd act as though I never knew Lucifer.
Like I didn't know that he killed people. Like I don't know who's heart he has.
Like I didn't know him. He was officially a stranger.
I bit into my muffin when the waiter finally brought it for me and I stuffed my face immediately.
Blueberry Muffins at this particular cafe felt as though you were eating unicorns and magic.
They must have put drugs in here or something.
After paying, I left. When I was almost home, I got a call from Dale and I answered it.
I immediately started telling him about what was going on and the anger I expected,
Was definitely not there.
If anything, Dale was happy and excited that Zayn was back.
I walked up the stairs slowly as I spoke to him and just before I got to the top, I pulled my keys out.
It they slipped from my hands and I had to bend down to retrieve it.
Now, I've watched enough horror movies. The person is on a lonely staircase and some creep is standing behind her.
But if I wanted to get into my dorm room, I needed to bend down and get the keys.
Sighing deeply, I bent down and picked them up.
To my suprise though, when I stood back up, nobody was there.
Sighing in relief this time, I said goodbye to Dale and ended the call before I walked down the corridor.
But when I turned the corner, my heart felt like it shattered in my chest as I looked at what was infront of me.
Zayn was standing infront of Melissa Constantine. The 'It' girl of Laraque University.
It wasn't just that, that made me gag internally.
No.
He had her pressed against the wall with one of his hands holding her wrists above her head.
The other held her waist, using that to pull her closer to him.
I felt like crying. My mind screamed at me to just do something but instead,
I just shook my head and walked past them, refusing to let this asshole ruin my college life.
Walking further down the hallway, a grinning Aiden ran up to me and swept me off of my feet.
"You have to come with me tomorrow!" He said loudly, spinning me in the air.
"Where are we going?" I asked, giggling at his excitement.
"To the Amusement Park! One just opened right here in town." He said and my eyes widened.
"Rides scare me." I frowned and he put me down, still grinning.
"You didn't say that when-" He started saying but I placed my hands over his mouth when I heard footsteps getting closer.
I thought about it. Tomorrow is Saturday, meaning that there won't be any classes.
Plus, it might not be that bad.
"Sure." I smiled and he kissed my cheek.
"You won't regret this." He told me and I nodded, then he looked up.
"Yo, Lucifer! You should come with us tomorrow." Aiden said and I froze.
Hell to the mother fucking no.
I didn't turn around to see his face, but I could hear the taunting smirk in his voice when he spoke.
"Cool. Melinda here loves Amusement Parks." Zayn replied.
"My name is Melissa, Baby." Her high-pitched voice said.
So cliche. But it's just her. She was a walking sex toy. EVERY guy here has used her.
Including Aiden. Gross.
"Okay, well it's a date." Aiden replied and smacked my ass before walking away.
I rolled my eyes at his behaviour, but I couldn't help the smile that crept onto my face.
Aiden made me feel things. But we both know that love isn't what we want from eachother.
It was purely sex.
I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice Zayn still standing infront of me.
Melissa was long gone. Probably going to chase after another guy.
"I missed you." His words fell smoothly off of his lips.
Almost like it was a practiced line. It made my legs turn into jelly.
But I came back to my senses soon after and I rolled my eyes before starting to walk away.
"Good for you." I told him just as I bent the corner.
