  Lucifer

I resurfaced the both of us, gently placing her down on the pier and climbing back up.

My heart raced, pumping harshly in my chest as I looked down at her.

The first thing I did was check her pulse, which was oddly normal for someone in her situation.

But she was still unresponsive, confusing me for a small second.

But I quickly caught on to what she was doing.

  That annoyed me.

"If you don't open your eyes right now, I'm going to throw you back in and watch you hit the fucking bottom." I said darkly, sitting a distance away from her.

Slowly, she got up with wide eyes and I stared back at her coldly.

A smile broke out on her face, a combination of humour and fear.

"Got you." She said, sitting on the wooden structure properly.

"Really?" I asked lowly, looking over at her.

She nodded, moving closer to me until she was right next to me, leaning her head on my shoulder and looking up at my face.

The control she had over me was aggravating. I've never met anyone who had any type of power over me.

I rolled my eyes and wrapped an arm around her waist, pulling her onto my lap.

She straddled my legs and her arms immediately locked around my neck.

"You get on my last fucking nerve." I mumbled, placing in my head in her neck.

She laughed quietly, bringing a smile to my face. I ignored the sharp pain that embraced my heart.

"How come you only have one left?" She asked and I pulled back and rolled my eyes.

I gripped her thighs and growled lowly when she started moving her hips purposely.

"Blair." I warned, but as I expected, she didn't listen.

She moved her hips in circles gradually getting bigger and faster.

I shut my eyes, biting down on her neck and she moaned quietly.

My grip on her thighs tighten and she looked at me, smirking.

Then she got up and strolled away, skipping innocently toward the cooler.

  "Fuck." I mumbled.

I groaned, running my hands over my face and standing before diving into the water.

I started swimming toward the middle of the lake, where a buoy floated.

It was late in the evening now and outside was getting dark, fast.

When I reached it, I placed my hand on it, running my fingers against the cold metal.

Then my finger stopped just above a groove in it. A button.

I pressed it and looked down as the buoy released black dust into the water.

Swimming back to the pier, I sat on it and watched as the entire lake turned black.

"Zayn! What is that?" Blair's voice came from behind me.

I held a finger up, telling her to wait. It shouldn't take long.

When the buoy stopped releasing the dust, it was now darker outside.

And slowly, the water started glowing.

Gasps came from everyone and I rolled my eyes. Footsteps came to the end of the pier where I sat,

And I inwardly groaned. Just one moment alone, is something I can't get when there's people around.

I looked up as someone was pushed into the water, creating a big, glowing splash.

Everyone laughed before slowly, they all jumped in. I looked behind me and found Blair standing, watching everyone sadly.

Sighing, I jumped in and looked at her, signaling for her to come closer.

  Slowly, she did.

"Coming, Miller?" I mocked her words from earlier.

She grinned and jumped in. I instantly caught her and held her waist.

She looked down at the water in amazement and I just stared at her.

The happiness evident on her face made me feel content.

I placed her hands in mine and pushed her away slightly.

"Copy me." I said, looking at her blankly.

She nodded and started moving her legs under the water.

When I was sure that she had it perfectly, I slowly let go of her hands.

"Zayn! No!" She yelled, panicking. She started sinking and I rolled my eyes.

I grabbed her hands again and pulled her back up. I wetted my lips and pulled her deeper into the water.

"You're going to kill me, aren't you?" She asked and I nodded, smirking slightly.

When I was a good distance away from the shore, I pushed her again, making her drift away slightly while I still held her hand.

"Do not panick." I stared at her coldly and she nodded before moving her legs again.

I let go of her hands and this time, she tried her best to stay above the water.

She didn't panick like last time, but she still did.

She bit down on her bottom lip as she focused,

And I tried my hardest to rip my gaze away from her mouth.

"Zayn, I'm doing it!" She said loudly, grinning from ear to ear.

I gave her a thumbs up and she started swimming around in circles.

Quickly, I swam away from her, heading back to the pier.

I heard her shocked calls from behind me but I ignored them.

When I got back to the pier, I climbed back up and walked away, going over to the cooler.

I opened it and pulled out another beer before walking back over to the pier.

My fist clenched and my jaws ticked as I saw who was infront of me.

  Jordan Matthews.

I closed my eyes, trying to control my anger before I did something I'd regret later.

He was infront of Blair, holding her waist while she tried to swim.

She laughed at something he said, slapping his shoulder playfully, then leaving her hands there.

  Do not engage.

  Walk away, Lucifer.

  Do not lose yourself.

I shut off all of my emotions. For the better. Nobody likes bathing in red water while a body floats in it.

So I walked away, tossing the dented can back into the open cooler.

I went inside and changed my clothes quickly before leaving the house and getting into my car.

My phone rang just as I sat and I groaned before pulling it out.

  "What?" I answered coldly.

"Are you still coming?" Her voice rang out from the other end.

"Yes." I replied, ending the call and speeding out.
