Blair
I stood there, frozen as I stared at him in disbelief.
"Did you...kill him?" I asked shakily, watching as his eyes darted to mine.
"Yes" His deep voice replied.
Letting out a shaky breath, my mind started racing.
Why would he do that?
He's a murderer.
He'll kill you too.
"Why?" I pushed, hoping that he won't be angry.
"He hurt you." He stated as his eyes stared deeply into mine.
And somehow, his cold stare felt genuine.
He actually thought killing was the only solution.
"Oh." I replied, taking a slow step back.
His jaw immediately clenched and his pupils dilated under the moonlight.
"You're scared." He said.
"No.." I lied.
He took a step closer and instinctively, I took another step back.
His eyes fell to the floor. When he looked back up, my eyes widened as there wasn't any white left in his.
"I'm a monster, aren't I?" He said more than asked.
Then a dark chuckle escaped his lips.
It sounded sinister as it went on, then he stopped suddenly.
"Do you know what it's like, to never be loved?" He said, stepping closer.
"To crave it so much, that you'd kill to have it?" He continued, taking another step closer.
My breathing picked up as he looked at me. With every step he took forward,
I took one backward.
Until, my back hit the door.
He closed the distance between us, placing his hands on either side of my head.
"I killed him, for you." He said coldly.
"I never asked you to." I whispered, closing my eyes as tears welled up.
"I'd do it again." He finished.
He took his hand and ran it along my face, ignoring my flinch.
He held my cheek, giving it a slight squeeze. A signal that I should open my eyes.
When I opened them, his eyes were back to normal. His silver pupils replaced the black.
"I won't hurt you, Blair." He said, his emotionless face was in place, but his voice was gentle.
I looked at him for a while and he did the same, wiping away stray tears as they fell.
We stayed like that for god knows how long before I spoke.
"Please don't do that again." I whispered, my voice cracking from all of the crying.
He didn't respond. He just continued staring at me.
"Lucifer, promise me." I repeated.
Still nothing.
I sighed, closing my eyes and turning around to go back inside.
His hands slammed against the door behind me, making me scream in shock.
"Don't." He said. "Don't leave me. I...need you." His voice sounded strained.
"Then tell me you won't do that again." I said, turning back around to face him.
"I'm the devil, Blair." He replied.
"Zayn..."
"Come with me." He said, reaching down and taking my hand in his.
"Where?" I asked.
He shook his head, giving me a pointed look.
"Fine." I said, walking down the driveway with him.
He opened the car door for me and I hopped in.
When he got it, he looked at me for a while, then started the car and sped off.
Lord, if this man kills me,
I just ask that you make the hidden candy under my bed disappear before Dale finds it.
Amen.
We reached the city and he drove for a while longer.
I watched as the lights passed by in a flash as we sped through the streets.
And suddenly, we pulled into a driveway.
The house was pretty neat. Painted in a bright pink. Surrounded by a white picket fence.
"This is your house?" I asked, turning to him.
He shook his head, turning off the car and getting out.
Before he reached my side I opened the door and got out as well.
He glared at me coldly. But I was use to it.
"Wait." He warned.
Taking my hand in his again, he walked up the stairs and onto the porch of the house.
Glancing at me one more time, he knocked on the door.
It took a while but soon, chatter could be heard coming toward the door.
Then I swung open, revealing a short, middle-aged woman with blonde hair.
When her eyes landed on Zayn they lit up.
"Lucifer? Why are you here this late?" She asked him.
"Sarah." He said shortly.
She nodded and signaled for him to come in before her eyes landed on me.
"You brought a girl? My oh my and what a beauty she is." She said, startling me by pulling me into a hug.
"Thank you." I mumbled shyly.
"Come." Zayn said, walking into the house.
I followed behind him until we reached to a stairway.
He looked back at me, something he did very frequently.
"What are we doing here, Zayn?" I asked, staring back at him.
He shook his head and grabbed my hand, pulling me up the stairway with him.
When we got to the top, we were immediately hit by the most colourful door I had ever seen.
He walked straight to it and took a breath before he pushed open the door.
The inside was filled with bright colours and princess posters.
Pink toys were scattered everywhere while a little figure danced to no music in the middle of the mess.
"Sarah." Zayn called warmly, shocking me.
"Poopy!" She screamed, giving him a toothless grin.
"Come here, Princess." He said, squatting down with open arms.
She giggled and ran over to him, jumping into his arms and he caught her.
He got up and spinned her around before leaving her on his hip.
Is this his daughter? My mind wondered.
She looked to be around 4, judging by her height and lack of teeth.
She looked just like him. With jet black hair and dark blue eyes.
Her hair was in pigtails and she wore princess pajamas.
She looked over at me then looked at Zayn. She whispered something in his ear.
He looked up at me and then said something back, making her giggle.
They exchanged whispers and she looked at me with a big grin.
"Poopy said you're pwetty!" She says, clapping as she giggled.
