  Blair

The day flew by quickly and soon enough, the bell rang.

I walked outside and was about to go to Dale's car when I saw who was leaning on it.

  Princeton Matteo.

Strolling as slowly as possible, I was now standing infront of him.

  "Hey?" I asked.

"Oh, Hey Blair!" He greeted, pulling me into a hug.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, gesturing to Dale's car.

"I just wanted to show you something." He stated, getting closer as I stepped back.

"What's that?" I questioned, feeling very uncomfortable.

"This." Was the last thing he said before charging at me, face first.

He was trying to kiss me and I just stood there, frozen in place.

There were only centimeters between us before in a flash, he was on the floor.

Zayn was on top of him, punching his living daylights out.

I stood there, not knowing what to do.

  Should I help the rapist?

Or do I spear Zayn's hands?

I sighed, doing what any idiot would do.

  "Zayn." I called softly.

"Zayn." I called a little louder.

"Lucifer!" I shouted, instantly his neck snapped in my direction.

His harsh eyes landed on me and only turned harsher as he got off of Princeton and stalked towards me.

Not before kicking Princeton in the jaw.

He walked through the crowd that had gathered, grabbing my hand in the process and dragging me along.

We stayed silent as he led me toward his car.

It was a different car. A sleek black La Ferrari.

Only then did I realize his hands were bleeding. I tugged on his hand and he stopped walking.

He turned to face me. His emotionless face stood in place as he looked at me.

  "You're hurt.." I trailed off.

"Are you fucking kidding me?" He asked.

He rolled his eyes and let go of my hand. I immediately missed the feeling it came me.

I mentally cursed myself for feeling this way.

"I'm sorry, Zayn. It's just that-"

"You don't trust me." He finished, clenching his jaw.

"I-I." I stuttered, at lost for words.

"Look, I don't blame you." He paused, running a hand through his disheveled hair.

"Fuck. I'm not a good person, Blair. Everyone knows it. I can kill you within a second of you being in my presence." He sighed.

"But I'd like to try. If you're willing to stick around." He finished, looking straight at me.

My heart pounded as time ticked on. He never was looked away or broke eye contact.

Making it 10× harder to think.

The silence around us was deafening as I made my decision.

  "Okay." I said, nodding.

He stared at me for a while without responding or showing any emotion.

Then he nodded, looking behind him.

"That's my cue." He said, pointing to the Principal who was quickly approaching.

"Yeah." I said, giving him a sad smile "This is my fault. Let me talk to h-"

"Fuck that. I'm leaving." He said, rolling his eyes "Here." He said, handing me his phone.

I gave him a confused look, staring down at his hand.

"Your Number." He said, rolling his eyes.

I realize that he does that alot. It's his way of telling me that I'm dumb.

"Okay." I replied, taking his unlocked phone and typing in my number.

Not before looking at the picture of a little girl he had as his wallpaper.

"There you go." I said, handing his phone back to him.

He nodded and slid it into his pocket, then continued staring at me.

I extended my hand, not wanting to directly say 'Goodbye'.

He stared at it and slowly reached his hand up, taking mine in his.

I shook his hand and was about to walk away when he pulled me to him.

He embraced me, wrapping his arms securely around me for a few seconds before pulling away.

Stuffing his hands in his pockets he stepped away, kicking a rock on the ground.

"See you around, Blair." He said, before turning around and walking to his car.

He sped out of the parking lot just as the principal caught up to him.

I stood there frozen in place, trying to figure out if I was dreaming.

  Did he really just-

"Blair!" I heard from across the parking lot.

I looked up and saw Dale standing infront of his car, that was also infront of a crowd.

That had been watching Zayn and me this entire time.

"Get the fuck home, damn!" Dale shouted at them, seeing my flustered face as I approached.

They all looked at him for a while before the chatter continued as they walked away.

I reached him and hugged him tightly.

"Ready to go home?" He asked, patting my back.

"Ready." I mumbled into his chest.

I laid in bed, unable to sleep as I twisted and turned.

Checking the time, my eyes widened as I saw the current time on the clock.

  3:16 am.

Sighing, I closed my eyes just as my phone pinged, indicating that I got a message.

I unplugged my phone and unlocked it, seeing that I had a message from an unknown number.

  Unknown:

  Hello.

I frowned, slowly typing in a reply.

  Me:

  Hey? Who is this?

  Unknown:

Do I really need to answer that?

Instantly, I realized who it was, smiling as I replied.

  Me:

  The sarcasm isn't needed, Lucifer.

  Unknown:

  Why are you still awake?

  Me:

  I can't sleep, you?

  Unknown:

  I never sleep.

I'm taking you to school tomorrow.

  Me:

  Okay.

  Unknown:

  Goodnight.

  Me

  Goodnight, Lucy.

  Unknown:

  Don't make me come there.

I laughed softly, shutting off my phone and plugging it back in.

Relaxing more into my bed, it didn't take long before I fell asleep.
