After spending the sweltering night in Zion's office, he and Maya eventually made their way back to Maya's home. After they had arrived at their destination, the two of them showered together. Maya and Zion were snuggling in bed together when Zion got the idea to give Maya a foot massage. Taking about the plans for the twin, which, of course, could be one. Zion, though, wanted two. His message was quite soothing, and it was clearly done with a lot of affection. Maya was well aware that she was incredibly blessed to have Zion in her life. So she laid back and let the foot massage calm her down.

'How was your day today?" Zion asked his wife.


'After a while of sitting around doing nothing, I decided to go out with my friend Mishka. My day got trashed when I bumped into my ex-fiance. But it's nothing to worry about. I dealt with it. He won't come back to bother me. I'm not sure if he knows what's going on in my life, though. I went shopping after that. My bump is starting to show, so I needed some comfortable clothing. Then I came back home to prepare lunch for you. '

Zion gave her a friendly smile before planting a peck on the top of her head. Then he laid down next to her and stroked her stomach. The man couldn't wait. He was eager to experience the sensation of the children kicking inside her stomach, but there were no kicks yet.

'Do you have any idea when they're going to start kicking?" He asked while he laid his head on her bump.


'Not sure. Maybe I should start with prenatal care. What do you think? '

'True. So we can know what is happening at every step." When Zion said that, Maya smiled. She kissed him and then laid her head on his chest to sleep.


'Good night, Zion. I love you."

Zion gave her a grin and then gently tilted her head around so that she could look at him. After giving her such a passionate kiss, he leaned in and whispered, 'Good night, my love." Then he touched her tummy and whispered to her tummy, 'Good night, kids. Daddy loves you." He pulled Maya close to him, and she laid her head on his chest. That's how they slept.

Little did they know it was the calm before the storm. Maya shouldn't have gone out that day if she had known. Zion got up the next morning, took a shower, and got ready for work. He went downstairs to have his breakfast and asked for the day's newspaper. But Lucas wouldn't give Zion the newspaper because he knew everything in it was a lie, and he also knew that his master would notice that the pictures had been modified. Still, Lucas told Zion that the mailman didn't come today, which was a lie. Zion turned his head up to meet Lucas. He knew Lucas was telling a lie. After that, he requested that Lucas hand over the newspaper to him. His aura changed, and Lucas knew he might get in trouble if he didn't give Zion the newspaper. He walked back to the spot where he had stuffed the newspaper, and then he carried it to Zion. He stood next to Zion with shaky hands and resisted the urge to give the man the newspaper. Zion forcefully took the newspaper out of Lucas's hand. The front page of the newspaper had a picture of the CEO of Connor Group with a woman in bed. Then, further images were attached showing Nathan Connor with Maya in the vicinity of her vehicle, as well as those showing the two of them in a sexually suggestive position, with him grabbing her hand. If only Zion had looked closely at the picture of the girl in bed. The man didn't, though. He ran upstairs to wake up his sleeping wife.

'Maya! Maya! Don't you dare pretend like you're sleeping?" Zion tried to pull Maya out of bed. 'Is this how you took care of things for both you and your ex?" Maya was a bit confused about what Zion was talking about. She was still experiencing feelings of drowsiness.

'Zion, I still want to sleep. I'm tired."

'Like hell, you are, after sleeping with your ex. You must be very tired." Maya didn't answer. She still hadn't registered her surroundings, as she was about to climb back into bed. Zion pushed her, and she went to the couch next to the bed and bumped her head on it. She let out a loud scream as she held her stomach. As she held her stomach and looked at her husband, tears poured down her face. Maya took a direct hit from the newspaper that Zion flung at her. Maya picked up the newspaper and saw pictures of her and Nathan.

'Zion, there's no way you can believe this, can you?" Maya thought that her marriage to her husband was unbreakable. Then she remembered what Ivy Jones had told her the day before. She knew Ivy had won when she looked at Zion.

'Maya, how certain are you that this pregnancy is actually mine?"

'What!" Maya couldn't believe Zion. The man had gone too far. If she ever slept with Nathan, why would she bother telling Zion that she ran into him yesterday? 'Are you sure, Maya, that the baby is mine?" Zion let out a yell. Maya couldn't believe that Zion would even think of something like that. She was mad, but she also knew that Zion could do anything to her if she talked back. Her only goal was to keep Zion away from the bump. She looked at Zion one last time and tried to walk away from him. But he pulled her back, and as she fell this time, she landed on her back on the top of the bed. Maya did not let out a scream, but rather, her tears just kept streaming down her face. She was still taken aback by the fact that her husband would suspect her of having an affair with another man and also assume that another man was responsible for her pregnancy. Zion hit the mirror so hard that Maya jumped and let out a scream. Zion was hurting himself, so Maya ran to him to tell him to stop. She took his hand and begged him not to hurt himself anymore. Zion pushed her again, though. Maya was tired, and she was not feeling well this morning. She was suffering from both upper and lower abdominal discomfort along with stomach cramps. She knew that anything could happen if she was so worried.

'Get away from me, bitch!" Maya stopped and turned to look at Zion. First, he made the accusation that she had been unfaithful to him. Second, he tried to hurt her. Thirdly, he said that he didn't know if the baby was his or not. Now he just called her a bitch. Maya knew that if she stayed in the same room as Zion, she might hear a lot of hurtful things. He has already done enough. She felt defeated. Then she felt a warm liquid pouring out of her sex. Even though she didn't look, she knew what it was. Maya left the room with her hand on her stomach. She was suffering from discomfort. As she made her way outside, she noticed that she had an uncontrollable flow of blood pouring from her sex. Maya passed out when she saw the blood.

Then Lucas, who was on standby just in case his master lost it, saw Maya coming out of the room. He could tell she was weak, so he picked her up and rushed her to the hospital before she fell. Lucas had no idea what to do or who to call, but Maya needed her family right then. He knew that her actual family was never supportive and also that they could be the ones who linked those pictures. He looked down at the phone that he was holding in his hand. The phone had no password. Only two people were contacted the day before, and he noticed that Mishka's name was one of them. He didn't know who that was, but he called the number and told the person on the other end that Maya was in the hospital. Mishka immediately stopped everything she was doing and went to the hospital after she received the call.

What in devil's name have I done?

Mishka hasn't seen or read any papers or news yet. She ran to the hospital and talked to Zion's assistant, Lucas. Her friend was in the hospital, but she didn't know why. She turned and looked at Lucas.

'What was wrong with her?"

'I don't know for sure, but there are no signs to show that she has been beaten or anything, which is good."

'What? Beaten by who? What are you talking about? '

When Lucas gave Mishka the newspaper, Mishka laughed and couldn't believe what she was reading. 'Wait, Lord Archer, believes this piece of trash?" She looked at Lucas and asked, 'Yesterday, Maya was with me when Nathan and Teresa came in. Did you get to see what this person is wearing? Maya wasn't wearing a red shirt; she was wearing a white dress. What kind of joke is this? I swear to God that I'll go to jail if anything bad happens to my friend or her child. What the hell is going on, where the fuck is Lord Archer?" Mishka looked all around, but he couldn't find Lord Archer. She ran outside and tried to wave down a taxi. Lucas couldn't go after her because he didn't want to leave Maya alone. Mishka headed to the front desk, where he was told that Lord Archer hadn't come in today. She called another taxi and asked Lucas for Lord Archer's address over the phone. Lucas gave Mishka his address because he thought Mishka wanted to clear the air. Lucas then called one of the helpers and told them to escort Mishka to Lord Archer's study.

As soon as Mishka got there, she was taken to Lord Archer's study. After she knocked, the man on the other side of the door invited the person who had been standing outside to come inside. Zion was surprised to see an unfamiliar, furious face entering his study. The woman went to Zion right away.

Slap!

Zion was taken aback by the sight of the woman and was curious about her. Mishka didn't care if he was a billionaire or a man who could make her life a living hell. She used her index finger to point toward Zion.

'If something were to happen to Maya, I solemnly pledge to God that I would spend the rest of my life behind bars, and you will spend the rest of yours buried alive. Pray that the baby is okay and that Maya is okay. Because I swear to God that I will bust your balls if any of them don't come out of that hospital room." Even more surprising to him was the way she spoke with an Indian accent. It rolled off her tongue with such ease.

'What are you talking about? Who let you into my house?" Mishka's laughter was infectious and infectiously insane. Zion thought his wife was crazy but never knew that she also had gangster friends who would burst his balls for her.

'Listen here, Zion, or whatever the fuck you call yourself. Maya is my sister, and because of you, she is in the hospital right now. Are you that stupid? Yesterday, Maya met me and drove me home, but do you really believe that twisted newspaper? Did you even look closely at the woman who was lying next to Nathan on the bed? Does Maya have blonde hair? Yesterday, did Maya wear a red top? How can you be so stupid?" Zion quickly grabbed the newspaper and saw that even though the other pictures were of Maya, the last one was of a blonde woman with a red blouse. Zion's face was filled with regret as he thought about how he had pushed Maya and how she had kept holding her stomach. He fell over and hit his head on a chair. 'Yesterday, your wife said nice things about you, but right now. I'm not sure how to feel about you." Zion was almost in tears, but he couldn't.

'What hospital is it?" Zion asked Mishka out of the blue. She didn't want to tell him, but she didn't know what had happened between them, and Lucas said he hadn't hit her.

'You should come with me," Mishka said. The whole drive to the hospital was so silent. Zion and Mishka didn't talk to each other. When he got to the hospital, he saw his assistant Lucas waiting in the lobby, and his eyes got very big.

'Why didn't you tell me my wife was in the hospital, Lucas." Lucas looked at the man and didn't know what to say. He then saw the fingerprint on his master's face, then looked at the furious Mishka and back at his master.

'I don't know what transpired between the two of you. I didn't have time to give it much thought. I was about to leave the room when I noticed Lady Archer come out holding her stomach. Suddenly, I passed out. I was quick enough to catch her before she hit the floor. When I looked at her, however, blood was already pouring out." It was as though Zion had seen a ghost.

What have I done? He thought to himself. What in devil's name have I done? What have I done, I almost killed my children, because of jealousy.

Suddenly, the doctor walked out of the room. Zion was so scared that he couldn't even ask if his wife and children were okay. No one asked anything. 'Your wife is fine, Lord Archer," the doctor told Zion as he looked at him. Zion immediately went to the hospital room. Maya was sleeping. As soon as Zion went in the door, he had a startling flashback to earlier in the day, when Maya had mentioned to him that she was exhausted. While Zion was holding her hand, Maya pulled his hands off of her and freed herself from his grasp.

Maya said in a low voice, 'Get out." Zion didn't want to go. He stayed where he was.

'No, Maya, I can't leave you like this. Let's talk about it, baby, please."

'Do you want to sit here with a bitch or a woman you are not sure that the child she's carrying is yours?

Maya please, Zion pleaded

Zion, get out!" He left the room without saying anything. He knew what he had done was wrong, but he also had to find out who had shown those photos to the public. He might lose his family because of the pictures. Just by making one phone call, The Daily Times studio was over and done with. He went back to the waiting area to wait with Lucas. Even though he wanted to drink alcohol so badly, he didn't because he knew it wouldn't help. Mishka went inside and she hugged Maya.

He got up and stood by the door, wondering if Maya would forgive him. While Maya was being embraced by Mishka, she immediately began weeping.

'It's okay, baby." After a moment of embrace, she pulled away and immediately began sobbing violently.

'He almost killed my baby, Mishka." Zion thought about how he pushed her and hit the couch. Even though he didn't push very hard, it was wrong of him to do that.

'Shhhhh, Maya, your husband thought you cheated on him. He wasn't thinking straight. He didn't even take a good look at the pictures he saw. He shouldn't have pushed you. He is human. He makes mistakes. You used to tell me that you liked an elderly guy. Do you want to give up on your Prince Charming because of this small mistake? I mean, it's not small. He nearly caused you to lose the baby. Maya, when you told me about your husband, you were so thrilled. When he heard you were pregnant, he was so happy. Are you going to let Nathan and Ivy into your thoughts so that they can wreak havoc on your marriage?"

'He gave them that room. I asked him if he believed those pictures, but he didn't say anything. Instead, he kept hurting himself and calling me a bitch. Did I deserve that? I've never slept with a man other than him in my whole life. What did I get, though? He told me that he wasn't even sure the baby was his." Mishka had no idea what to do.

'Do you want to divorce him?" Zion, who was standing outside the door waiting for his wife to answer, felt his heart tighten as he heard that question.

'No!"

'Do you love him still?"

'I don't want to split up with him. I really like that, fool!" Mishka laughed. Then Maya started laughing. Zion, who was on the other side of the door, finally let out a deep sigh.
