Talia's POV

I literally haven't been anywhere more majestic than this palace.


'The king would hardly believe his eyes." He said, now beaming at me. I was struggling to keep up. Things were moving too fast, just seconds away I discovered that Kael was almost half dead in the bathroom, and I'm being taken in like I'm some trophy to a king I've never met. Kael was still unconscious and between life and death, I began to feel like a bad person. If roles were reversed, I'm sure he'd have been by my side throughout.

'I'm lost." I replied to him. He simply looked at me and looked away, but kept my hands locked in his. I was beginning to hate him. Hate him for the fact that I ever came across him, for raking me away from Kael, and for coming to make a fool of me by bringing me in these nasty ass clothes to a kings palace.

I heard and unfamiliar voice from inside addressing a silent audience. He motioned for us to wait a bit outside till he was done. I was nervous and he saw it. My hands were tapping against each other noisily, but


'Why am I here?!" I asked again raising my voice. We were the only ones waiting. I'd have felt more at ease if there was like a queue of something.

'Just wait." He gave a smile that seemed sinister and friendly at once. I did not know what to make of all these, but I have no where else to be, so I stay put.


Finally, they start trickling out of the large room, Younger One threw courtesy nods at them, waiting impatiently for the last person to leave.

Finally the room was empty. A young beautiful lady walked up to us and informed us that he was now ready to have us. The smile that appeared on Younger ones face was really bright, somehow contagious. I ran my hand through my hair and tugged at my clothes like it would magically make me look better.

I such a speed like I had never seen before, the man-God seated on a chair with golden rims that I'd take to be the throne ran over somewhat ungraciously and lifted me in the air. I yelped and begged Younger one with my eyes to tell him to let me down.

He was beaming like a fool and just looked away from me. I was the object of a circus I did not even know about.

By the time he let me down, he had tears in his eyes that were already already swollen and red. He was rubbing his head against mine and the tears on his face was already making mine moist.

'I missed you my love." If I thought his face looked sexy, his voice was even sexier. This had to be unreal. It had to be a dream. The wetness between my legs were making me feel like a horrible person. Kael was half dead on some vegetable shop and I was here getting loved up by some strange Alpha when he was still alive. I immediately chided myself in my head and just waited for him to play out all he wanted to do.

'Why aren't you talking to me?" He asked me when he noticed how stiff I was.

'I'm sorry, but I don't even know you." I replied him bluntly.

He exchanged quick glances with Younger one and somehow passed some knowledge between them.

'The worst has happened." He exclaimed. I wondered why he was being so dramatic. It's not like he's someone I ever remember seeing. I literally had no memories of him. 'How did you find her?" He was still holding me by both hands, but the query was for Younger one

He, who I'd refer to as Alpha for now, because I was too scared to ask his name, seemed to be asking all the bold questions but looked like he would collapse if he heard something he didn't want to.

I was lost in my thoughts trying to wrap my head around it all when I felt his hands gripped me tighter and I winced. It was then I hear Younger one had gotten to the part of the story where I came with a man.

'Where is he?" I caught that because of the rage with which he said it.

'He's at the Doctors." Younger one replied. He looked so happy to have put me in this situation. I should've never trusted him enough to let him bring me here.

'Wait outside." Alpha commanded Younger one who instantly obeyed even though I saw some hesitation on his face.

It was just me and sexy looking Alpha left. I did not want to be in this situation. It was too intense. He just held my head and face towards his, one would think there was some sort of supernatural going on.

When he saw my blank face was only becoming irritated, he released my head, but still held on to my hands like I was going to run away.

'Isla, you really don't remember me? Remember us?" Fuck! Same old same old. It was bloody Isla who knew these people, and here I was gallivanting in her body, what was I expecting. It seems like she meant a lot to them. That explains the crowd that was forming behind us earlier, and why both Younger on and Older one didn't cause me any harm all the way here, at some point, even with Kale on their shoulders, they were holding up low branches for me. 'Let's go." He said when he waited a while and still didn't hear anything from me.

We hopped into one of the luxurious vehicles parked outside his majestic palace and headed for the doctors.

We got there in no time, making me wonder if this was really the route Younger one took me through or a different one.

As soon as the engine went off, Alpha grabbed my hands and held the door open for me.

I jumped down without him even making me and headed straight for the door. I was walking so fast he couldn't catch up Nd had to let go of my hand.

I nearly ran to where Kael was. When I threw the door open, the white clothes thy had used to cover his body was now stained red, and thrown over his face too.

I could not believe my eyes. I ran madly to his side and tore at the cloth to see a smiling Kael, albeit a lifeless one. The tears started falling. I hated myself, hated life, hated him, hated Moon Goddess, hated myself again. Do I really have to b this unfortunate?

Alpha came to my side to hold me up. If he wasn't so strong, I'd have kept hitting Kael to wake up and call it a prank. He was still, his stiff body taking all my blows like it was nothing. What happened? Did he have to go?

'What happened?!" I screamed at no one in particular. I needed an answer to hat as going on. It couldn't be real. Just this morning, I woke up happy and naked next to him, it's barely past afternoon and I'm bent on hitting his dead body to life in s a strange pack.

'Go find out." Alpha commanded Younger who ran out immediately to get the 'doctor".

I hated calling him that. If he couldn't save Kael then he was a fake who nnede to die. I don't care what anyone thinks. Maybe later I'd apologise to Alpha for hitting him so hard like he was the one who took Kael away from me, but for now, I wanted to hit and hit till I could no more.

The doctor came rushing in, surprising and annoyingly calm, but also sad.

'I'm sorry, Your Highness." He managed to say to me.

'I don't know who the fuck you are, or who you think I am. But the man lying dead there is the only person I've got in this world. Could you please bring him back? I need him." my voice was alredy hoarse and the tears were flowing in streams.

'I did all I could." He said resignedly.

'You did nothing."I capped vck at him. I hate how everyone was so calm when my whole world had literally been ripped apart.

'But he was already gone by the time you got here." He kept on talking. I wish I could punch his face, but that wouldn't bring him back.

'No he wasn't. I swear I saw him breath." I shouted again at him, in my delusion, wishing Kael would also say something.

'It was your mind playing tricks on you." I narky tore out of Alphas hand and headed for him if I wasn't held so tightly.

'Don't fucking say that." I said instead. I hated how he was the only one they ere listening to.

'I'm sorry." He apologized. 'But he was already dead, sad thing is it's not from the bleeding." I know he wasn't even a doctor!

'So what exactly is it?" I shouted at him.
