Vance's POV
Nadia has been moving really funny lately. Her guts seem too much to be ordinary. Our lives have become monotonous, even the sex part.
Just yesterday, I reminded her of the reason we actually ever got together, and the reason my life has changed forever, the fact that I want, always have wanted and heir.
'Hey" I said while she was wiping what was left of her make up.
'Hi." Nadia replied icily, swiping hardly with the tissue against her silky skin.
'We need to talk." I decided to be succinct and straight to the point.
I walked over to her and swiped all the differently shaped body care products off the shelf.
She did not act shocked which was unlike what I expected. Too much nerves these days it's actually really unnerving.
I really could not keep track of how I lost control of Nadia, of my own home. Being an Alpha really started from one's home, one's Luna. I had just lost probably, the best Luna Moonstone might ever have. And with every single day I wake up next to Nadia, the realisation dawns more and more.
'I'm talking to you!" I screamed. She immediately sat on the plush couch.
'Don't think I haven't noticed your considerable absence from this house, which continues to happen more and more frequently, and I just want to reiterate the fact that I will kill you with my hands, if I ever as much as hear rumours that you were seen without something other than your fellow women." I threatened her in a very grave voice that commanded her attention and composure all the while I talked.
'Worse for you still," I continued, 'if I catch you myself. Moonstone would wake up to a dead Luna and I would not even do you the honour of explaining anything. It would be a verses less, simple process." I saw the fear return to her eyes and I liked it. It reminded me of the days when I forced her legs open when we were both younger and she would be scared and apprehensive about sleeping with the Alphas son.
Her eyes were fixed and very defiant, but that did not stop the tears from rolling down freely. I took a look at her and she was no more the girl I would sneak out of the pack house to see, and tease and convince that it was nothing but harmless fun, and promise her the world, ‘world' to her the was being there for her, giving her a sense of family, and since I never really had a functional one myself, it did not seem like a bad idea.
'Is that all?" She asked, bringing me back to reality. Her eyes were fixed on mine, red and swollen from passing bitter tears. Her eyelids were flaming red and her cheeks were beginning to adopt the same colour tone.
'No." I replied sharply and to her disappointment. I would also have wanted the meeting to be, over sooner, but I was really enjoying actually being a head again.
'What's left?" Nadia asked. She had made friends with what I said already and her teary face had dried up.
'Among the many other dysfunctional things in this house too, is that it is devoid of children." I said, to her. 'I married you because… because if what happened didn't, I never would have had an heir." I said. 'God knows Talia was better twenty heirs." I muttered under my breath. I caught her flinch and I knew there was a chance se head me, that's no big deal.
'So you want children?"She asked, being unappreciatebly straight to the point.
'Yes." I replied to her. 'I want lots and lots of them. That's kind of the only thing that could make you significant in this palace." When I want to be less informal and impersonal, I use the word ‘palace' to remind her that it wasn't just a ‘house' that she could do whatever, whenever.
'Try to be less disgusted by me then." She said very honest. 'And when you do that, try to pretend like I make you excited, so just maybe you'd be able to cum in me for the first time, and that would give us a decent chance of having a kid. What do you think?"
'You must be very stupid." I said to her, unable to hold my anger.
'Alright." She said, standing up. 'If that's all I'd be waiting for you. Whenever you're ready, Alpha."
I made no effort to stop her as she waked out on me. She had begun to wear some of Talia's clothes, with even more fat on her hips and all the other right places, it still did not seem, to to me, as sexy as it looked on Talia.
Maybe she was right. I knew she was right. We barely have had at sort of couples time. No in between, no middle ground. It was either too low or too high, the low being far more. Life was really not how I thought it would be.
'Tracy!" I called out to my ever faithful maid.
She has never been one to loudly answer calls, she just shows up right on time, sometimes too fast for a woman her age.
'I want you to watch her." I said in an undertone ans I knew she immediately got what I meant. However, the fear in her eyes did not go unnoticed. She looked like she had been asked to kill someone.
She was nodding fractically and obviously looked like she could not wait to be out of there.
I knew it would be some sort of herculean task, but I really wanted to know what Nadia was up to. To the best of my knowledge, Landon had backed off completely and posed no threat to me, I would have his head otherwise. I don't even want to overthink that. From personal experience, I have an irreversible abhorrence for betas, I really just can't help it. But I don't want to assume. Landon, in particular knows better that to do that. So who could be the bastard frolicking with a Luna?
I don't want to give much thought to that. I would be meeting with the beta and gamma today, I have to feel positive.
