"Yes!" He smirked probably recalling the glossy look I had given him in the hallway. "I didn't expect this outcome, since when he has this feeling in his little heart?" I chuckled.

"Maybe from day one." He sipped his coffee.


"I don't think." I laughed.

"I bet you." He has confidence in his statement.

"Hmm—I don't know." I rolled my eyes.


We talked, ate, and gossiped like this is our first time but it feels good as I'm on cloud nine.

"I think it's time to leave or else my arrogant boss will sue me." I said playfully looking at my wristwatch.


"I will handle him, don't worry." He winked and leaned to capture my lips that stand for a few seconds until I caught the pair of eyes watching us intensively.

"Kayish! He is here." I whispered.

"Who?" He asked following my gaze and cursed something under his breath when he saw who is watching us desperately.

"I think I should knock some sense to him." I said but not sure about the decision.

"Are you sure?" He asked once again to confirm.

"Yes!" I nodded my head. He has been calling me for these past weeks. I didn't get the point from where he got my number but it's getting my nerve.

"Okay, I'm waiting inside the car." He pecked my lips and walked away.

Once Kayish left the restaurant, Zach came inside and stood in front of me, his eyes held some hope that is unnecessary for him because I'm not going to accept him back in my life.

"Sit." I sat on the chair and gestured him to take a seat opposite of mine where Kayish occupied before.

"Riya-" He began but I stopped him in his midst. I'm not here to listen to his chattering nor hear what he is going to feed me with lies; I just wanted to clear things between us.

"I have told you many times that I'm not interested to talk to you, yet you are torturing me, why Zach? Do you think it's easy for me to forget everything that you and your parents did in the past and accept you back in my life, huh?"

He was silent, how he will prove his guilty when all the damages were done by their end. "Do you capable of forgiving your sister knowing she is the cause of your baby's death? But sorry, it won't be happening to show how big your heart is because I'm the one who lost my baby, not you." I spat.

"Don't you want me to abort the baby in the first place? That's why God didn't bless you with children." I know that by saying the last part I must have hurt his feeling, but he deserves it.

"I know Riya, I did horrible things to you that no brother could have done to their sister, and I failed to protect you when you needed my help, but I want my sister back. Forgive me Riya, that's enough for me to overcome my guilt." His eyes watered, for these years I didn't see him this much broken but today he broke the history.

"You can't understand how broken I'm until you were in my shoes, but I pray to God that no one experience the pain I went through." I rose from the seat and walked towards the car without giving him another glance.

Once I settled inside the car I broken into tears and cried my heart out. I feel bad for hurting his feelings but what can I do?

We spent one more hour inside the car but didn't talk, just stayed silent for the whole time holding each other's hand.

We returned to the office at 3 pm. Kayish has a client call so he went to the boardroom while I made my way towards Juliet's cabin but the scene in front of me is hilarious, they are sucking each other's face.

"Oh my God! My poor eyes!!! Find another room guys!!" I closed my eyes and yelled dramatically which caused them to jerk away from their place.

"Ri- Riya!" Juliet uttered, her face flushed with red meanwhile Harith grinned at me showcasing his thirty two teeth.

"Care to explain?" I asked pretending like I have no idea about these new lovely couples.

"You tell her." Juliet buried her face on his chest feeling embarrassed of facing me.

"Don't say you are not aware of this?" Harith said playfully.

"Huh?" Juliet gave him a questioning look.

"Let me explain," I said smirking all the way looking at Harith.

"A handsome man jumped in front of my door and did some rehearsal before going to propose his girl and-"

"For God's sake Riya, please don't embarrass me." Harith shook his head in defeat, silently surrendering himself to me.

"But you practically gave me a heart attack," I said sarcastically. "Anyway, I'm really happy for you." I engulfed them in my open arms. Juliet deserves a good guy like Harith.

What else I could pray for them?

"Kayish where are you taking me?" I asked but he kept pushing me forward, my eyes were blindfolded by the black ribbon beside I could hear the angelic giggle from my devilish daughter who knows where he is taking me and is taking advantage of this whole situation teasing me along with her dad.

If it had happened to her she would have beat me a lot of questions by asking 'Mommy! where are we? Mommy! Have we reached? Mommy! How long it takes to reach? Mommy!-' until she gets the answer.

"Be patience my girl." He whispered in my ears, his warm breath caressed my neck lovingly sending me goosebumps to my stomach.

"We are almost reached." He unwrapped the ribbon from my eyes letting me see the beautiful views of a big house, besides all my loving people, are smiling ear to ear by welcoming me in their warm embrace.

"T-this this-" I trailed off, my brain refused to function.

"This is your dream house." He cheered, his eyes held so much pride.
