"Mommy who is visiting us?" Sweety asked tucking the hem of my shirt.
"Uncle Draco and aunt Claire are coming here to see their favourite niece Sweety." I pinched her cheeks playfully.
"I thought it was dad." Her face dropped.
"A-ahh dad will take you out on coming Saturday," I said and gave her a glass of milk to drink.
"But I want to see him right now." She looked at me pleadingly.
"Okay, mom will take you tomorrow to see your dad. Now be a good girl and drink this milk." Her face lit up with happiness and she drank the whole glass of milk in a minute.
"Mommy, Shall I play with Shadow?" She asked innocently, biting her lips.
"Young lady who teaches you to act like that?" I asked kneeling beside her size. Shadow is our neighbourhood dog, but I'm not happy to let her play with Shadow after what she did to that poor Shadow.
"Mom, I'm a big girl and I know how to behave. No one needs to teache me anything." She raised her hand in the air like a big girl she was. Oh, God! Where I missed to raise her properly?
"Okay, but be careful." I said firmly.
"Sure mommy!!" She yelled and ran out of the apartment. Once she went out of my sight, I busied myself with preparing dinner.
A minute later, I heard a doorbell rang and went to open the door for them.
"Riya!!! How much I missed you." Claire engulfed me for a warm hug.
"Girl, we met two days before. Did you forget that?" I asked once we pulled apart.
"Don't be a drama queen. I really missed you and don't remind me when the last time we met." She walked inside revealing a handsome Draco who was standing outside.
"Hey, Riya! How do you do." He kissed both my cheeks and entered inside.
"I'm doing good." I gave him a simple reply with that we three settled on the couch and started to talk about some random stuff we had done in the previous week.
But my mind was not involved in the entire conversation as it suddenly drifted onto him and brought the memory of that horrible night causing me to shutter my body down.
"Riya, you okay?" Claire asked taking my hand with her.
"Yeah!" I nodded my head and plastered a weak smile but Claire being my best friend read my mind and asked me to tell her what's exactly bothering me.
"I don't know Claire, I- I feel somewhat empty inside." I admitted truthfully.
"Why?" She asked cautiously pleading me to tell her detail.
"I think I went too far-" Before I could finish my sentence Draco cut me off saying, "If you feel pity for him then you are the uttermost fool in the world, Riya." His eyes darkened and he clenched his jaw.
"Draco, could you please shut your mouth?" Claire threw him a murderous glare that shut his mouth immediately.
"Riya, I can understand how you are feeling right now." She caressed my hand which she was holding.
"Decision is all yours." She stopped for a moment then eye locked with mine. I could read how thoughtful she was when she said those words.
"I will give my support whatever your decision is." She smiled at me. "You two are perfect for each other, just give him a chance if that is what your heart says. I want you to be happy forever." Her eyes moisturized but she succeeded to keep them on edge.
"Claire, are you in your right mind? Just think of you in her shoe then you won't tell her what to do." Draco said angrily. He has a bad opinion about Kayish from the beginning and I don't think he will change his mind anytime soon.
"Then think of you in his shoes as well, Draco. Are you okay, knowing your girl and daughter are living far away from you?" She spat meeting his same arrogant tone.
"Everyone commits mistakes including you and me. Every human being makes mistakes and if they don't, they are not perfect. Just give him a chance. Don't stress around. I know what you are needed." Her voice softened.
Draco didn't utter any words against her, he seems like he was lost in his thought. "Riya." Finally, he spoke.
To be continued---
"I need your happiness. If you think he will bring everything back to normal in your life then who I'm to object your decision. I'm always with your side." He gave me a weak smile somehow, he is not happy with the idea of giving Kayish a chance.
I nodded my head as a response not knowing what to say. Am I really ready to give him a chance? It's very hard to make a decision.
"So, when you are going to get married?" I asked changing the topic. Claire's face flushed into red by the mention of marriage whilst Draco groaned playfully.
"If your friend says okay, I'm ready to give a ring to her finger right now." He teased eyeing her the whole time.
"Draco." She hit his shoulder playfully and hid her face on his back. For a moment I adoreded this beautiful duo infront of me but our sweet moments were interrupted by my lovely daughter.
"Mommy!! Help." Sweety ran to my arms and held my shirt tightly.
"Hey, baby. What happened?" I rubbed her back though I know she did something wrong.
"S-Shadow is barking at me." She panted hardly, anxiety was written all over her face.
"What you did," I asked narrowing my eyes at her. The last time they fed cake to that poor Shadow and she got sick for three days. From that day she didn't eat properly especially when the kids go near her.
"I- I just caught her tail, but she is so cruel, she barked at me." She whined in her baby voice.
"This is the last time you are playing with that Shadow." I placed her on the floor and stood up ready to serve dinner.
"But mommy-" She began to wail.
