There are already so many rumours were passed around the whole office and I don't want to add fuel to the fire.


"Thanks!!!" He murmured, his warm breath fell on my face caressing every inch of my face passionately.

"Thanks for... for what?" My voice shuttered once again.

"For allowing me to spend some time with my little bunny."


"Little bunny?" I furrowed my brows. What is he talking about? And who is this little bunny?

"Yeah!! My little bunny and--- you are my little kitten." He said the last part huskily in my ears, sending Goosebumps in my stomach.


Oh, God!! It's Sweety. For a second, I thought he is talking about another girl or--- whatever.

I pushed him slightly and stood by my own feet. "Take good care of her. Don't give her too much ice cream or Chocolate, especially don't allow her near the water, she gets cold easily." He nodded his head effectively absorbing my every word carefully.

"Okay, my lady." He bowed his head. Ahhhh!!! I want to pull his hair.

"Stupid." I muttered and walked out of his office before his dirty mind would play anything filthy.

"Hi, Riya!!" Juliet waved standing in front of my office like she is seeing me the first time today from the morning.

"Come in." I said bluntly and shut the door behind once she entered in.

"Juliet. Be frank. Don't lie. Did he force you to work as my assistant?" I let out my question which was itching my mind endlessly since when I was happened to know about her promotion.

"No." She nodded her head furiously. "He didn't compel me and if he did, I have no problem." She shrugged her shoulder casually.

"What do you mean?"

"Riya, I'm more than happy to work with you. You know what? Hereafter, I don't want to be scared of losing my job. These four months are like a hell to me." She paused for a moment.

"Every second I felt insecure, scared of what if I get fire and yes, no lie, he approached me asking my opinion first before he hires me as your assistant and he might have thought that I'm doing this for his favour but no, it's for me only." Her face held victory.

"You are my friend and I'm pleased to work with you." She finished her statement in one breath, leaving me nothing but open mouth.

"So, what do you say?" She asked grinning widely.

"What can I say? You left me speechless." I said truthfully.

"Okay then. Let's celebrates my promotion." She grabbed my hand and dragged me out of my office.

"Where are you taking me?" I asked while putting on the seat belt.

"Wait and see." She winked and started the engine.

"Juliet Slow down!!" I shrieked when the speed level crossed 150kmph. Immediately, she stepped down the pedal and reduced the speed level.

"Don't tell him, he will kill me." I heard her say under her breath.

After that, the ride was smooth except for the part of her singing. Urgh!! Her voice is horrible than me.

"We reached." She clapped her hand. I took a good look at our surroundings and noticed the car was parked in front of the restaurant.

"Thank God! For saving my life." I said sarcastically.

She rolled her eyes and stepped out of the car. "The food is amazing here, especially the dessert." Her eyes looked dreamy.

"Then why are you standing here, come on." I walked ahead.

"Please here mam." The waiter led us to the empty table. We ordered our food and ate silently. Truthfully the food is mouth watering.

"Huhh!! I think I ate a lot." I rubbed my stomach and leaned on the chair. She eyed my empty plates before giving me a signature smirk.

"Hey!! I didn't eat that much." I whined.

Girl!! She is jealous. I just ate a bowl of rice with fish, Spaghetti, Sweet potato, Chicken wings, Fruit salad, and Apple juice. I can't help, the food is amazing.

She insisted to pay when I was about to pay the bill and to say we can't win against her.

After paying our bill, we made our way out of the restaurant, but she froze on her spot, her skin paled, her eyes focused on someone who was standing so far away from us.

I nudged her shoulder to gain her attention, but she shook her head and gave me a weak smile, the moisture in her eyes was not unnoticed by me.

I glanced at the person once again and realized it was Edward, her ex, is talking to the girl whose face is nearly caked with makeup.

"It's okay. Come." I patted her shoulder.

"He is coming." She whispered looking in the direction of him.

"Hello, baby!! Long time to see." He attempted to hug her, but she stepped away.

"Don't touch me!" Her voice was completely broken.

"Awww!! My baby is mad at me." He cooed. I really want to punch his pretty face. The nerve of this guy.

"It's better to leave the place before I call the cops," I warned.

"Oh! Riya. What a pleasant surprise!!" He moved to hug me, but I shoved his hand away.

"You fellows never leave until you get the lesson." I took my phone from my clutch and dialled the number to call the cops, but this bastard snatched my phone away from me.

"Give my phone back." I gritted my teeth.

"Or else?" He raised his cocky eyebrow challenging me. I charged towards him and tried to snatch the phone, but he pushed me away.

"Ahhh!!!" I screamed when my legs lost its balance as I was falling behind. There were several giant steps, ready to welcome me in their open arm.

My whole body felt cold as ice. All the hair in my body stood up as my mind alerted them that I'm going to have panic attack, and literally it blocked the oxygen to my lungs.

Sweat already formed making my body bath in its own sin. My steady heartbeat raised; every thud is heavy and painful.

My vision blurred because of the sun, who was standing above my head smiling cheerfully, watching me fall. I felt the time is moving extremely dead slow making sure to record my every movement.
