He eyed me up and down then inhaled deeply. He adjusted his necktie before he spoke, "may I come in?"

"No." I closed the door but he put his leg between the door.


"What do you want? I told you to wait outside." I gritted my teeth.

"Uncle Monster?" Sweety called from my behind causing me to facepalm mentally.

"Hey, little bunny." He waved his hand like they were close friends from diapers that made me furrow my brows. When did they become closer?


Miss. Jaden came at the right time before the earthquake would explore. "Bye baby." I kissed her forehead and walked towards the elevator, him following my behind.

"You look beautiful." He mumbled while opening the door for me like a gentleman. I ignored his complement and climbed inside his passenger seat. The rest of the ride was silent and I'm glad he has his head still on.


As usual, I didn't find this party as entertaining, most of the young men were approached me and asked me to dance with them but he stood beside me all the while throwing them a murderous glare. I don't know what gets into him.

I started to look for the owner of that voice and my eyes landed on a tall figure, beside a girl was standing; they were smiling heart to heart.

Draco? What is he doing here? I furrowed my brows then it clicked on my mind. He is here for attending Mr. Vanez's party that he mentioned on the phone on another day. Shit!! I should have asked him earlier. I grinned widely but it cut off when Kayish shook my shoulder gently.

"How do I look like to you? Don't forget to keep your distance from me." I spat at him.

"Can't I get some peace, idiot." I muttered then looked in the direction of where he stood earlier.

"I heard you." He said in his calm tone.

"Good for you." I rolled my eyes.

When Draco turned his head, I waved my hand to get his attention but the girl stood in front of him said something to his ear which made them laugh richly. She must be his girlfriend.

"Hmmm..." I slumped my shoulder when I failed to get their attention. If I was in my school I would have called their name loudly. But now I need to behave like a mature woman.

I started to walk towards him ignoring his question of "where are you going?" but froze on my spot when I was happened to see the girl's face.

I'm happy but at the same time anxious too. I don't know how to face her, it has been a good four years gap between us but we still remain friends, aren't we? Haash! Even I'm not sure about our friendship. I glued on the floor thinking whether to call her or just pretending like I didn't see her here.

But fate has another plan for us because when our eyes met, time froze under our feet. The smile on her face dropped, a flash of emotions crossed on her face but I couldn't read it. Then she started to run out of the hall.

Wow!! She is beyond beautiful. I couldn't take off my eyes from her extreme beauty. Her creamy skin Shone with armour in a dim light adding her beauty more. For a second, I fell under her spell.

"What do you want now?" Her hazel eyes looked deep into my soul digging every champers in my heart trying to find the intention behind why I was hurting her four years ago.

When Kayish dumped me, she offered me to go with her home and live with her parents. I love her family but not wanting to become a burden to anyone, I ran away without saying any words when she went to the medical shop to buy an Aspirin for my pounding headache.

One thing she doesn't know that I was pregnant with Kayish's baby.

‘No one is happy with me. I have no reason to be alive.' I hardly controlled my sob. Then I felt two persons standing either side of me.

One is Draco, who stood on my right side, his eyebrows furrowed together as not getting the entire scene, beside Kayish who knows everything stood on my left side with a blank expression.

"So, you are with him. Aren't you?" Her tone was accusing when she saw Kayish.

"I will explain, please." I took one step forward to reach her hand again, but I felt a strong flow on my left cheek that caused me to jump backward.

She slapped me.

"Claire." Kayish voice boomed through the backyard. He clenched his jaw and grabbed my arm abruptly when I tried to retreat my hand away from his grip.

Claire didn't flinch a bit instead shoot him a hard glare showing all the harness she has towards him.

"What's going on?" Draco asked out of nowhere looking front and forth between us. Three wrinkle lines formed on his forehead giving me a cue as he doesn't get any of the drama which is playing in front of him.
