"Morning! Miss. Kader." Payal greeted me when I crossed her table. I gave her a small nod and walked towards the elevator.

Actually, this is not my behaviour. I will give them the same attitude what they have given me but today I am not in the right mind to show any kind of my sweet side but now I feel bad for treating her like this, as making her feel like not wanted when she didn't do anything.


My stupid mind doesn't function properly which has clouded with anger towards her arrogant boss but that doesn't mean I can show my anger to everyone.

Arrgg!! I groaned in frustration and turned my heels to walk towards her table. She lifted up her head once my shadow fell on her book which she was gone through.

She adjusted her glass and spoke "Ahh... Is any.." Before she finished her sentence I greeted her with equal favour that she had showered me a minute ago.


She furrowed her brows unable to get the points then grinned widely when it clicked her mind. That's it. That's what I needed from my employees. The genuine smile on their face.

"Okay, Bye Payal. See you later." I said and walked towards the elevator once again. I'm not the arrogant boss who behaves rudely to their employees whenever their mood is down.


My heart gets some peace when I correct my mistakes. I inhaled deeply and entered the elevator. Peoples are looking at me like I am a different creature but when I looked at them they averted their gaze and looked somewhere not me.

Why should my office have happened to be his next? I mentally groaned and stepped out of the elevator and there he was standing in front of me, his back was facing me. Needless to say, he is shouting at someone on the phone.

Somehow I feel pity for the person who was bearing all his cursing words. Thank God! He didn't notice me yet so I took this as my good cue to leave the place and walked past him.

Most of the employees didn't dare to look at my face instead they just nodded their head whenever I crossed them. My heart is pounding heavily in my rib cage but I don't know why when it doesn't make any sense.

"Miss. Kader, Come to my office immediately." His voice boomed through the phone and I regretted why did I attend his call in the first place.

I collected the files from the 12h floor which he asked me to submit the day before but unfortunately, something happened and the work has been left pending.

After hearing his 'Come in' I entered his room having straight look on my face. One thing is sure if he tried to do anything worst that I don't like then I will cut his ball.

"Sit." He ordered in his usual stern voice. I took a seat in front of him and handed him a file. Once the project gets close, I don't want to face him again during the whole 20 months of my services in the Global Institute of Technology that made my heart jump with happiness.

As usual, he took his own time to go through every page. Somehow I knew he is doing this desperately for his own reason.

"Everything okay and I appreciates your work. You did a great job even though you are very new to this company." then he looked directly into my eyes and said, "but not in my life."

I fisted my hand while throwing him a murderous glare. If a look could kill someone then he would be six feet under the ground covering nothing but white cloths inside the grave.

Instead, he smirked and handed me another file. "What this for?" I asked folding my arms against my chest.

"This is your new assignment. You should finish them within a week. All our employee's details are inside this file. Just go through this and confirm whether the details are pulled up correctly."

"And what makes you think I will do this?" I challenged him. "It's not my place to verify your employee's details and report to you. Give your security team and ask them to do such silly things." I set the file on his table, politely giving him a smile internally cursing him to hell.

He leaned forward to grab my arms and interlinked our fingers together. I tried my best to get rid of his grip but who I am kidding he is strong as a stone while I was just like a mere paper that will tear anytime soon.

"Just do what I said." He said in his husky tone. "And for your information, we are going to work together." I looked at him like he has grown with two heads.

"I mean you will be in my office... Besides me." He whispered the last part causing me to lose my entire colour from my body and he smirked when he noticed my state.

Of course, now I seem to look like a ghost when I heard him saying we are going to work together. What are his problems? First, it's not my work and second, it's not his work too. And lastly, it's not a job at all!!!!!

If he suspects any employees then he could investigate them in his own way otherwise digging everyone's profile is not going to help, it's a waste of time.

Several employees are working in this organization. After all, this is one of the topmost companies all around the world.

"Why all of a sudden he is showing some interest to me?" My inner voice asked me as I am an expert to answer her every question.

An idea shone into my brain which caused me to smile inwardly. "I can do this by myself and I don't think your help is needed," I said and stoop up from the seat.

He looked at me with a frown on his face. "Your wish but don't forget to submit the file within a week."

"Sure." I said and walked out of his office. I have a plan in my pretty mind and I hope I will succeed.
