Cindy looked at her mother's face and she said, "I will give you beautiful grandchildren mum.. but not with Jeremy, as I don't want him."
"Then who do you want? As ever since I know you to become as an adult, You haven't had a good relationship with any of the guys that you have dated. And don't think that I will inform your father to call off the marriage, So is best that you get to know Jeremy properly and you should be nice to him, As he's an understandable guy ."
"Mum.. I am not disputing the fact that Jeremy is an understandable guy, but I don't just love him, and I'm serious about it."

"Hmm, I'm fine speaking to you about Jeremy now, and next month, we will fix the wedding date of you both as this month as finally come to end. So prepare yourself," Mrs Bola said and she stared away from Cindy to the television displaying in their living room, and Cindy only looked at her mother in silence before she turned and dashed upstairs to her bedroom.
"Why's Cindy so stubborn? Only God knows where she got her stubbornness from," Mrs Bola said as she shook her head and she continues watching her television while waiting for Esther to be through with cooking of their dinner.
Cindy walked into her bedroom and she slowly shut her bedroom door closed as she walked up to her bed, and her frown disappeared away from her face, As she remembers her outing and her meeting with Peter during the day.
Cindy finally walked up to her bed and she decided not to worry about Jeremy, As she knew so well that she cannot accept to marry Jeremy, and she smile again as she sat on her bed, and she remembered how excited Peter looked and on receiving her house gift. And she said, "I just hope that Peter loves me genuinely and he won't cheat on me with those women asking him out.. Why can't all those women allow him to be?."
Cindy thought about the disadvantage of herself dating a man like Peter, As she had seen a lot of breakups videos online, and even ladies that sponsors and supported their boyfriends for years, only for the guy to end up cheating on the lady and dumping her too, for another lady that didn't even contributed anything much to the man's life..
Cindy thought about any circumstances that could lead to Peter dumping her, and she couldn't pinpoint one, and she sighed and decided not to think about the disadvantage, but about her heart want and her desire, and so, she took out her mobile phone to stare at what's trending online, and to calm her raging heart that was still angry on Jeremy calling her sweetheart, and more likely to the fact that her mother said the wedding would be fixed the following month.

Just as Cindy swiped her phone screen to unlock, she gasped as she sees a lot of missed calls from her mother, Lora and Jeremy, and as she had seen her mother and Jeremy to know why they were calling her before, and to know of her whereabout. Cindy finally decided to call Lora Adams, and the phone call connected on the first ring. As Cindy heard Lora's voice, "Hello.. What's up with you girlfriend? As I have been calling your line since noon and you weren't answering to my phone calls. Or where you with your booboo?."
"Stop it Lora, what's up with you too?" Cindy asked back as she relaxed on her bed, and Lora answered, "You know that I'm single Cindy, So what can be up with me, as most of those guys that I have dated are not yet ready to settle down, and they ain't loyal to me either.. So I dump them first before they think of taking the lead as I need a serious guy that would want to marry me now, so as to give my mom beautiful grandchildren."
"Hmm, that's what you often say, and yet you're still single and mingling," Cindy chimed and Lora laughed out, "Oh Cindy, hahaha.. So you know to well that I'm the one not serious in the relationship that I have been into."
Cindy replied, "I didn't said that Lora, as I know that relationship are quite complicated issues and I cannot judge you for how you choose to treat yours, And I'm sorry for not picking up your calls earlier as I went out today.. Remember I told you before that I have somewhere to be?."

"I know Cindy, but you didn't told me where exactly, and since morning, or did you went for a law case, and to probably meet with your client and to investigate on a case?."
"No Lora.. I went out to see the guy that I told you about, and I'm so happy as he has finally accepted to be my friend.."
The phone call goes silently for a while, until Cindy spoked, "Hello.."
Lora voice came through and she replied, "I'm listening Cindy, so truly you still went on with asking a man out, how can you do such?."
"Lora.. I know that I shouldn't, but I truly love this guy and I'm so serious about him.. But what annoys me mostly today is the.fact that as I got home, I saw Jeremy in our home, And I have told Jeremy that I cannot marry him countless times, and yet he seemed unfazed with all that I have been saying to him."
Cindy didn't want to tell Lora yet that she gave to Peter a new house, As she knew that Lora isn't in support of her relationship with Peter, and Lora sighed and replied, "I don't know what to say to you Cindy, As Jeremy isn't a bag guy, and he's well to do, and yet you're falling for a poor guy that would scam you off your hard funds, and probably later ditch you.. I think you should have a rethink about all these things Cindy, so you don't make a mistake, As you know, marriage is different from relationship."
"I know Lora, and I have made up my mind and is Peter that I want, As I have never been so excited before with meeting with a guy as to the way that I like him.." Cindy said, as she is happy to know that Peter has finally accepted her to be his friend, and Lora asked her, "When next do you plan on meeting with Peter again, as I really need to see him, and to know what exactly that he looks like?."
"I can meet him tomorrow if I want too, As I already bought him a house," Cindy unknowingly dropped the news and Lora screened out, "You did what?? My goodness!."
"Calm down girlfriend and don't tell my mom about it," Cindy said in a hushed tones, and Lora replied, "Are you serious about it, or you're just lying to me?."
"Why should I lie to you, have I ever told you a lie before?" Cindy asked, and Lora said, "I cannot believe all these.. First, my quiet friend is asking a man out, and now she bought him a house, Cindy.. Are you for real, As I cannot believe this is you?."
"Yes, and you have to believe now," Cindy replied, and just then she heard a knock on her room door, and Cindy remembered that her mother had asked her to come downstairs for dinner..
"I will have to call you back Lora, As I need to join my family for dinner, As it had not been quiet long that I arrived home."
"Hmph.. Okay girlfriend, I will be expecting your call," Lora said, and Cindy replied to her, "Bye... Maybe until tomorrow or some other time, we will talk on phone," Cindy immediately ended the call, just before Lora could said another word, And Cindy stood up from her bed as she went to her bedroom door to unlock it, and she sees Esther standing there to her view, and Cindy immediately asked her, "What do you want here?."
