While Cindy was thru bathing, she finally stepped out from her bathroom and walked up to her wardrobe to dried up her wet body still dripping water, and she took up her brown light nightgown that she would wore.
Thru dressing up in her brown nightgown, Her phone rang inside of her purse and Cindy walked to took up her purse from her bed drawer and picked it up, seeing her phone screen time to be 9pm.
"Hello, good evening" Cindy said to the caller and it was Jeremy calling her, making her to frowned.
"Hi my angel, Am calling to know how you're doing tonight?" Jeremy asked politely, in his deep masculine voice.
"Am fine" Cindy replied curtly as she wasn't interested in Jeremy and she had thought it was her mother or Lora calling her.
"Okay, So have you eaten your dinner tonight?" Jeremy asked as he was also at home, in his luxurious mansion and preparing to head downstairs to have his own dinner.
"No, I will soon do that now" Cindy said.
"Okay, I guess my call is what disrupted you from going downstairs now. So what will you be having as your dinner tonight, as mine is fries. Do you know how to cook?" Jeremy asked and he could heard Cindy sighed.
"I know that if you're here with me, I probably will be eating something better" Jeremy added.
"I really don't know how to cook" Cindy told him in a displeasing voice, wanting to pissed him off and for Jeremy to ended the call but he laughed out first, making Cindy's face to twisted in more irritation as she knew no matter what she did to discouraged Jeremy from liking her. He keeps on liking her and she hated it.
"Hmm, that's not a problem then. I can cook and will gladly teach you how too" Jeremy said and he heard Cindy sighed again.
"Okay, so can I go now to eat, is almost getting late or do you want me to starve?" Cindy asked, wanting to end the call and Jeremy spoked, "Relax. I know you don't want to speak to me, but you have a sweet seductive voice that I just can't help but want to continue listening to your voice."
"Hm.." Cindy groaned and Jeremy finally spoked, "Alright then. Goodnight dear and sweet dreams. Bye and love you."
Cindy quickly took her big phone off and away from her ears, as she stared to the screamed and cussed out, "Ugh, I don't love you."
Cindy finally dropped her phone and plugged it to charge on her bed drawer and she exited her room, after seeing the time to be after 9pm. She stepped out and went downstairs to the living room and Esther was rightly in the kitchen while her mother wasn't yet back.
"Where did mother told you that she was going to before I arrive?" Cindy asked Esther and just then, they both heard the sound of her mother honking her car horn and Cindy sighed in relieved and she said to Esther, "Go on and dish out our meals, Let me go out to welcome mom."
"Okay" Esther replied and went on with the dishes, while Cindy went outside and saw her mother parking to the front yard while the gate man locked back their entrance gate.
"Welcome back mom" Cindy said, as she walked up to meet her mother still dressed in her brown light nightgown and Mrs Bola sighed as she stepped a foot out and down from her car and she locked her car door properly as she wasn't happy.
Cindy heard her mother grumpily sound and she immediately asked, "Didn't you saw whom you went out to see?."
"No" Mrs Bola muttered in a lowered voice.
"Is alright, let's go inside" Mrs Bola added and Cindy smiled faintly to her mother not wanting to ask whom was the person that her mother went out to search for?.
As they stepped into the living room, the aroma of the special delicacies that Esther had prepared filled their nostrils and that brought a warm reassuring smile to curved on Mrs Bola and Cindy face, and Mrs Bola assumed inwardly that it was already late as to the reason why she didn't saw Peter.
Mrs Bola thought to went back to the shopping malls and market area the following day to search for Peter again, for some other time as she knew would be busy the following Monday, going to her husband company and also monitoring a lot of records.
"Mom, won't you go in first to freshen up before you join us for dinner?" Cindy asked, making Mrs Bola to snapped out from her rivalry thought and she smiled back to Cindy and replied, "Sure I will, but let's have dinner first."
"Okay mom" Cindy was silent as she walked to the dinning table and stared to the hot soup and eba that Esther has made.
Mrs Bola didn't said anything and next they all sat round the dinning table to ate the delicious okro soup with fish while the dinning table fell in awkward silence, with only the sound of the them eating.
After their dinner, Cindy stood up first and cleared all the plate to the kitchen as she was already in a good mood, seeing that her mother wasn't looking happy and Mrs Bola returned back upstairs to her room as she was tired.
Esther stepped into the kitchen and wanted to washed the plate, but Cindy said to her, "Not to worry I will wash it."
Esther stared to Cindy in shocked. Wondering when Cindy started to washed a plate, but she gulped all she wanted to asked her aunt, knowing the kind of woman that Cindy was.
Esther finally left the kitchen, while Cindy fumbled to washed the dirty plate as she hadn't washed a single damn plate before, as it was either her mother, nor their previous maids that used to washed it, And luckily atlas, she was able to wash all the plates sweating profusely.
"Phew!" Cindy muttered.
After Cindy was thru rinsing out the last plate left, she dried her palms with the kitchen napkin, before she exit the kitchen and saw the living room time to be 11pm.
Cindy sighed and switched off the living room bulb as she was the last person to be thru and she finally went back upstairs to her room.
Entering into her bedroom, Cindy walked to used her restroom, and she walked out back to her bed and climbed on it as she wanted to sleep.
Cindy smiled to herself a little and sleep slowly crept thru her while she doze off fallen asleep on her bed.
***
The following morning, Cindy woke up actively as early as 6am as she had a court cast to attend to by 9am.
She bathed quickly and after she was thru, she walked to her wardrobe and took out a black suit that she wanted to wore, and she dresses up quickly, wearing a black pair of shoes while she walked to apply little makeup on her yellow face.
Her mother wasn't yellow like her, except for her dad, as she resembled her dad so much, and so she brushed her eye brows, admiring her beautiful facial reflection as she wore her earrings and necklace around her neck.
Thru with her simple dressed up and make over, she walked to took up her purse and car keys and she exited her bedroom, while walking downstairs to the living room.
The living room was silent and she wondered where her mother nor Esther might had gone too.
Stepping downstairs into the living room, just then the kitchen door pushed opened and her mother walked out, holding a tray, containing two cups of hot tea.
"Good morning mom" Cindy greeted her mother as she approached the dinning table and Mrs Bola offered a faintly smile as she replied, "How was your night?."
"Fine mother, how was yours?" Cindy politely returned back the question to her mother and Mrs Bola replied "Good."
Mrs Bola was already dressed in a black suit too, as she was leaving to her husband company and knew they would be leaving only Esther at home.
