Elsie
We step out of the hotel, and I look around for a taxi, but I can’t see one. The only type of car I can see is a black limo.
“I thought our taxi was here?” I ask, confused.

“I didn’t say it was a taxi. I said a car. The limo is ours.” He smiles.
Just at that, the driver steps out and greets us. We happily greet him back before he opens the door for us. Kellan lets me slip in first and follows behind me. I notice a bottle of champagne in an ice bucket, and next to it are some chocolate-covered strawberries.
“What is all of this for, my love?”
Kellan smiles brightly at me.
“No, reason. I wanted to spoil you. I thought we could drive to our destination in style and see this beautiful city. Champagne, sweetheart?”
“I love it. Thank you. You spoil me too much. And yes, to the champagne, please.”

“You deserve to be spoiled.” He replies as he pours us a glass.
He hands one to me, and I thank him with a kiss before I take a sip. Kellan rests his hand on my knee and does the same. I stare out of the window and watch the beautiful city fly by. I wish we had more time to see it up close rather than driving, but at least I am still getting to see it.
“It is so beautiful,” I whisper.
“Yes, it is…” Kellan trails off.

I know he isn’t looking at me, and now the view. I can feel his eyes on me. I slowly turn to face him.
“I mean the city,” I laugh.
“And I meant you.” He beams.
I playfully roll my eyes at him. Kellan chuckles and reaches in to steal a kiss. He scoots closer to me, slips his arms around my shoulder, and we watch the view together.
“I love you, Elsie.” He whispers and kisses the top of my head.
“I love you too, Kellan,” I reply and rest my head on his shoulder.
I still have no idea where we are going, but here with him is perfect. It would matter where we go. I would be happy doing anything as long as I was with him. It is a shame we leave tomorrow. I don’t want to think about that right now. I want to enjoy our last night here.
Comfortable silence comes between us as we enjoy the ride and drink champagne.
“Angel, can I talk to you about something?”
He sounds nervous in his question. I face him, smile and nod.
“I would like you to move in with me when we get back. I will understand if it is too soon and you aren’t ready.” He whispers.
I was not expecting that.
“You do?” I ask, surprised.
“Yes. I would love to have you live with me. We would fall asleep next to each other every night and wake up to each other every morning.”
It does sound amazing, but there are a few things I need to do first before I can agree to anything.
“I would love that, but I can’t give you an answer straight away. I will need to talk to Cassie first.” I reply honestly.
I don’t want to make a choice before talking to my best friend. I need to make sure she would be okay if I moved out. Maybe it could be an opportunity for Cassie to move in with Barry if she is ready. If not, I will continue to stay with her, or we can work on something else.
“I understand. Take the time you need, my love.” He smiles and kisses my cheek.
“Thank you for understanding.”
I knew he would because he is incredible. He takes my hand in his and links our fingers.
“Always.”
I still don’t know what I did to deserve Kellan.

We had been driving around Paris for an hour, but we had come to a stop and arrived at our destination. I still didn’t know where we were because Kellan had made me look at him, so I couldn’t work out where we were.
The driver opens the door and offers me a hand to help me out. I take him up on his offer. I thank him. I climbed out, and that is when I saw it, we were in front of the Eiffel tower. It looks stunning at nighttime, all lit up. Kellan appears at my side and rests his hand on the small of my back.
“This is where we are having dinner.” He says.
“Uh?”
“I have booked us a table in the restaurant in the tower.” He smiles.
A squeal escapes from my lips before I can stop it.
“What? Are you serious? I thought it was impossible to get a reservation?” I gush.
I can’t believe we are having dinner in the Eiffel tower! It is crazy!
“I booked it the day after we decided to come here.”
“This is amazing! You are amazing! I love you so damn much.” I celebrate and kiss him repeatedly.
I swear I still expect to wake up and for all of this to be nothing but a dream.
“Shall we, sweetheart?” he asks, offering me his hand.
I nod eagerly and take his hand. It is all surreal.
“And don’t worry, I have booked us a lift up, so we don’t need to climb the stairs.” He chuckles.
“Thank you because I don’t think trying to walk up them all with heels would have been a great combination for me.”
I never thought I would see Paris; now, here we are, heading to have dinner in the Eiffel tower. Dreams can come true. I don’t want to imagine the price for it, though, and I won’t bring it up because I would seem ungrateful, and I am not.
“I don’t know what I did to deserve you, babe,” I say and rest my head on him.
“Because you deserve the world, sweetheart. And you have made me a better man. Helped me in more ways than you will ever know.”
He didn’t hesitate before answering, which tells me he doesn’t need to think of it and truly means every word.
“I am happy we found each other, Kellan.”
“Me too, my love.”
I have no idea what the future holds for us, but I am excited to find out.
