This was the moment I had been preparing for, the first face-to-face encounter with Magnus. I still couldn’t believe that my appearance had changed in front of him, and I wondered why.
Perhaps, the room had something in it that would show the faces of someone we wanted to see. Even Magnus, I saw him as a beautiful woman, or was he really that powerful to change his appearance?
The dimly lit room was filled with an eerie silence, broken only by the sound of my own footsteps echoing against the cold concrete floor as he tried to close the gap between us.

Suddenly, his real face appeared, a tall and imposing frame that sent shivers down my spine. It was really Magnus, and his eyes were gleaming with a sinister glint.
"So, we finally meet, Isabella," he sneered, his voice dripping with malice. "I've been waiting for this moment to meet you. Finally, you are here.”
I tried to steady my nerves, summoning the strength within me. "Magnus, this ends now. Your reign of terror stops here!”
He chuckled, a chilling sound that reverberated through the room. "Oh, my dear Isabella, you have no idea what you're up against. You're nothing but a mere pawn in this grand game,” he claimed, and then Luke’s voice echoed inside my head.
Before I could react, Magnus unleashed a surge of dark energy, sending a shockwave towards me. I was caught off guard, and the force of the impact knocked me to the ground.
As I struggled to regain my composure, Magnus advanced towards me, a wicked smile playing on his lips. It seemed as though he relished the opportunity to end my life.

But just as he raised his hand, and ready to strike the final blow, a figure appeared out of nowhere. It was Selene! With a swift and graceful movement, Selene intercepted Magnus, her own powers clashing against his, and the room was filled with a dazzling display of light and energy as they engaged in a fierce battle.
I watched in awe as Selene fought with unwavering determination, her strength and skill matching Magnus blow for blow. It was clear that she possessed a power that rivaled his own but after a few minutes, I realized that Selene couldn’t defeat him alone!
As I unleashed my power to weaken Magnus, Selene used the opportunity and swiftly grabbed my arm. Then, she pulled me away, and we looked for the exit. As we reached the safety of the outside world, Selene turned to me, and her eyes filled with concern.
"Are you alright, Isabella?"

"Thank you, Selene. You saved my life, but how did you know I was there?” I inquired but before she could respond something hit me so hard that I lost my consciousness.
The following morning, I awoke in the same room we had rented the previous night. The events of the previous night felt surreal, as if they had occurred in a different reality.
I had acted on instinct, killing countless enemies. I couldn't feel proud of what I had done. Despite the circumstances, I still possessed a conscience, and the weight of my actions would haunt me for a long time. The sight of the corpses and the ground soaked in blood turned my stomach. The mere thought of it churned my insides.
"Drink this water," Xavier said, offering me a glass.
I took it and drank, feeling sweaty and exhausted. “Where’s Selene? Have you seen her?”
"No. Do you want to rest for a bit? We still have time. I bought some breakfast outside. Are you hungry?" he asked, but I declined.
My appetite had vanished. I thought I had grown accustomed to killing, but there was a part of me that resisted, that didn't want to take a life unless it was absolutely necessary.
On top of it, there was something that had been bothering me ever since meeting Magnus for the first time. He mentioned I was just a pawn in the game. Who started the game?
“You must be tired, Isabella. You should get some rest,” Xavier said again.
“Okay, but excuse me, Xavier. How do I look this morning? Do I look like I am someone else?”
“What are you talking about? Go now and take some rest. You are obviously tired,” he said and I nodded.
I managed to get a little more sleep, and by early afternoon, we decided to leave the town and return to the pack to plan our next move. Xavier took the wheel as we rode in the car. I nibbled on a piece of bread, hoping it would give me the strength I needed to face the challenges ahead.
Every day felt more difficult as I strived to achieve my goals. As we made our way, we sensed other cars attempting to chase us. It was clear that they were our enemies, and they seemed to be aware of the annihilation that had taken place the previous night.
"They're trying to corner us," Xavier remarked.
They began ramming into us, and to my horror, I noticed they were armed with guns.
"They're aiming for our heads, and those bullets don't look normal. They're made of silver!" I noticed.
Bullets rained down on our car, the relentless assault showing no signs of abating. Their aggression left me with no choice but to unleash my newfound power.
The energy from the valley's pillars surged through me, granting me incredible speed and strength. With this newfound power, I could use the bullets as deadly projectiles, hurling them back at our pursuers with lethal precision.
Despite our counterattacks, they persisted in their relentless pursuit, attempting to force us off the road. Of the seven cars that had initially given chase, only three remained.
As we neared a roadblock, it felt as if time itself came to a standstill. What was happening? Everything froze, and it seemed that Xavier and I were the only ones capable of movement. Suddenly, a figure appeared at the door of our car, displaying a brutal strength that effortlessly tore the door from its hinges.
"I can't hold this time freeze for much longer! Get out of the car and follow me!" she instructed urgently.
Trusting my instincts, we complied and followed her lead. Fortunately, she had her own car, and we vanished from sight before our pursuers could catch up to us again.
"It's been a long time, Xavier," she said.
"You knew each other?" I asked Xavier but he just shrugged his shoulders.
If I were to describe her appearance, she resembled an action star, clad in a black jacket and tight pants. Her hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she exuded a captivating aura. It was evident that she was not an ordinary person, nor a mere human. She seemed to be something else entirely.
"Xavier, why don’t you tell her about me, huh?" she smirked, leaving me intrigued and eager to uncover the truth.
I heard Xavier chuckle, and I couldn't help but feel utterly lost. What on earth was happening here?
"She is Alexandra, a witch!" Xavier finally explained. "She is one of our members, a very powerful witch who stole the power of an ancient warlock."
"The one and only, and I am your only gateway to the next pillar! The Pillar of Sky," Alexandra confirmed, her tone filled with a sense of excitement.
We arrived at the nearest city, realizing that we needed to rest for a while. It was too risky to return to the pack at that moment. I could sense that an ambush was being planned. We rented a hotel room for the three of us, which posed no problem at all.
"Magnus is becoming even more evil and vile. He's putting innocent lives at risk once again. I can't fathom how heartless that son of a bitch can be..." I expressed my frustration, my anger mirroring Alexandra's.
Alexandra had learned about Magnus’ plan, and her rage matched ours.
"We have made contact with some humans who will help us with our kidnapping problem. They will ensure that we can sabotage the expansion of the rogue army," I explained to her.
"You're in contact with hunters?" she asked, disbelief evident in her voice.
"Of course not!" I replied with conviction because I wasn’t ready to reveal the fact that Jimuel would not hesitate to help me. "You know hunters. They only want our heads, seeking to kill us all. They don't discriminate because, in their eyes, we're all the same monsters."
Hunters were far more cruel, driven by their anger and the desire to exterminate all werewolves. I understood their perspective. They, too, were victims in their own right, and Jimuel was on the top of the hunter’s association.
"Regarding the Pillar of the Sky, I have a question. Why haven't I received any dreams about it?" I inquired.
"Simple! The Pillars are not located in the human world. They cannot be accessed through dreams. However, they can serve as a useful navigation tool in the sky," Alexandra explained.
That sounded like a problem to me. Alexandra proceeded to provide us with the details, as our memories of the past had been sealed by a powerful divine force, likely Magnus’ doing.
"The Pillar is located on a forgotten floating island. There is a temple there, guarded by a god slayer. We must be cautious. Nevertheless, if you possess the powers of the two pillars, it is unlikely that Magnus will make his move," she assured us.
"In that case, where can we find the tool?" I asked Alexandra.
"It can be found where we lost it before," she replied, passing us a newspaper.
There was an upcoming auction in Las Vegas, scheduled to take place in two days. The advertisement claimed that something possessed the ability to heal any sickness and was considered a lucky charm.
“We have to steal it,” Alexandra said and my eyes widened in disbelief. How did I become involved with them?
“Having cold feet now, Isabella?” Xavier asked, and I just stared at him in response.
