After Selene and I had cleared our misunderstanding about Magnus Blackthorn, I understood why she had to withhold the enemy’s name. Then, we came up with an idea to contact Luke, and to work together with him, otherwise,we wouldn’t have a chance to win against Magnus.
Leaving the cozy library behind, I stepped back into the vibrant city. I had forgotten to eat dinner, consumed by the urgency of my departure. I regretted not taking a single bite of Selene's delicious chicken curry.

My stomach growled in protest, and the enticing aroma of street food filled the air. I tried my best to ignore the tempting offerings being sold on the street.
"Fancy meeting you here, Isabella?" a familiar voice exclaimed.
"Luke!" I exclaimed in surprise. “Wait, were you following me?” I asked and he nodded.
“That was risky, Isabella. Now that Magnus is aware of your existence, he is doing his best to haunt you down. What the hell were you thinking?”
“I just wanted to talk to Selene!”
“Liar. You want to do it on your own, right? You heard how powerful Magnus is, and you believe that he would hurt me and the others. So, you are trying to be a hero,” he claimed.

How did he know what I was thinking? Anyway, it wouldn't matter anymore. “I just don’t want you to get hurt!”
“Why? Is it because of how much you love me?” he asked and before he would become conceited, I rolled my eyes at him, and slapped his arm.
“Wrong. It’s because I want to know the limits of the power I possess right now,” I told him, and he raised his brows in response.
“Is it?”

“Believe everything you want to believe, Luke.”
“Alright, darling. Whatever you say,” he said, and then he embraced me tightly. "I've missed you!” he declared.
“Okay. Anyway, now that you’re here, how about buying some food? ! I'm starving, and I don't have any money. Can you treat me to lunch?" I shamelessly asked, my face betraying my hunger.
"Sure! Let's find a nearby restaurant," he suggested.
I shook my head. "No, street food will be just fine."
He bought me fishcakes, tacos, chicken lollipops, milkshakes, and drinks. We decided to head to a nearby park to enjoy our impromptu meal.
Afterward, he brought me back to his penthouse and I couldn’t say no. I just took a deep breath while considering how my future husband would react once he would discover I was no longer a virgin.
“Go and wash up. It was dusty outside,” he ordered, and I nodded because I wanted to wash up so badly.
“I will be back in a jiffy,” I promised, but to my surprise, he joined me in the shower. “What are you doing, Luke?”
“Don’t be alarmed. We are just going to take a shower,” he promised, and I was disappointed when all we did inside the bathroom was to take a shower.
What’s wrong with me? I ended up sulking when we got out of the bathroom, and then I heard him chuckling. I turned around and glared at him.
“What’s wrong, Isabella? Why the long face?” he asked.
“Nothing,” I replied, and then he laughed again.
Suddenly, I found myself pinned beneath his body on the couch, his sinful mouth trailing kisses along my neck. The room filled with my moans as his hand expertly stroked my arousal.
I panted heavily, my breath hot and my eyes struggling to stay open amidst the overwhelming pleasure coursing through me.
"Please, more!" I moaned loudly, lost in a haze of desire.
He shed his bathrobe, revealing his toned physique. With his eight-pack abs and glistening, sweat-kissed skin, he looked ready to ravish me completely.
"I'm going to make love to you tonight as if there's no tomorrow," he whispered, his words sending shivers down my spine.
I was taken aback by his actions as he lowered his head and began to pleasure me with his mouth. His tongue teased the base of my shaft, eliciting a string of incoherent words from my lips.
"God, what are you doing? You're driving me insane!" I managed to say, though my words were muddled by pleasure.
He moved on to suck the head of my member, causing me to grip onto anything within reach. Overwhelmed by euphoria and pure bliss, I couldn't bring myself to open my eyes. He continued to pleasure me, his actions filled with a sense of enjoyment. His eyes conveyed his satisfaction with every movement. Placing his finger against my lips, he sought entrance, urging me to suck on it.
"Suck it," he commanded, his voice dripping with dominance.
I nodded absentmindedly, taking his arm in both hands and eagerly sucking on his fingers, swirling my tongue around them. Luke stopped me, leaving me momentarily confused. But then, he made me moan deliriously as he inserted his wet fingers into my eager entrance, preparing me for what was to come.
"Ah! Ah! Shit, that feels incredible! I want more!" I exclaimed, my thoughts scattered.
"You're getting greedy, huh? If you want it that badly, then beg," he taunted.
"Please! Please!" I begged amidst my moans. "I'm about to cum!" I exclaimed, his skilled finger massaging my clitoris, intensifying the sensations.
We made love throughout the night as if there were no tomorrow. In fact, it was already morning when we finally finished. My entire body throbbed with satisfaction. He marked every inch of my skin, displaying a level of aggression and possessiveness I hadn't anticipated.
Exhausted from the intense night and amazed by his stamina, I drifted into unconsciousness, only waking up in the afternoon, having left the bed hours before.
"My body is aching! Goodness! You really went all out," I playfully scolded him, though a hint of annoyance lingered.
He smirked, clearly proud of his conquest. "Well, then you can rest here for a week. They can wait for you."
That was my initial plan, and now that I had a valid excuse to stay, I would take advantage of it. Still naked, I covered myself with a white sheet, while he proudly displayed his hard member as he stood, sipping wine at this early hour.
"I've called someone to deliver breakfast for us. I thought I'd give you breakfast in bed," he said, attempting to be sweet. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at his attempt.
"You should. I'm starving after you drained me so much this morning."
A knock on the door interrupted our banter. The food had finally arrived, and as I caught the delivery guy's gaze, he blushed and quickly averted his eyes. Someone was getting possessive.
"Hey! Where are you looking?"Luke snapped at the poor guy,
"I'm so sorry, Sir!"
The delivery guy looked petrified and hastily left without looking back. Luke's possessiveness was showing. I never thought he would be this possessive.
"Hey, let's eat! Stop frowning over there, you look strange," I urged, trying to lighten the mood.
"I just can't stand someone looking at you the way I desire you."
"Pervert. They were just looking, and whose fault is it? You invited him in while I wasn't properly dressed."
"Yeah, and you shouldn't show this body to anyone, especially not Kyle!"
"Why would I show this body to him? It's covered in your marks, and I have no idea how to get rid of them. My abilities can't heal them,” I told him and he grinned.
"That's great. It'll serve as a warning to any bastard who dares to lay their hands on you, that you're already mine,” he announced and I just rolled my eyes at him.
ONE WEEK might not have been enough for us, but the memories we created during that time would be etched in my heart throughout the rest of my journey. Luke still didn't want me to leave. He acted as selfishly as I secretly desired to be. I yearned to abandon everything and start a new life with him, free from power struggles, barriers, and unfulfilled missions.
But I was destined to fulfill my purpose. If I failed, countless people and werewolves would suffer from the havoc that Magnus Blackthorn continued to wreak upon the world.
“Luke…,” I called his name to tell him something important.
“Yes, sweetheart?”
“I’m sorry but I have to leave. I have to do this alone.”
“Do what? Fight Magnus alone? No way! There’s no way I would allow you to do that!”
“Can you trust me? It’s the only way I can repay the Moon Goddess for letting me live again, Luke,” I told him and he chuckled.
“The Moon Goddess is just using you!” he yelled.
“And so do I! Because of her, I got a second chance to live, and to see Mom and Dad. what’s wrong with helping her to fight against Magnus Blackthorn?”
“Why are you so stubborn, Isabella?”
“Please Luke?” I begged him to trust me, and for a moment, he became silent.
"Can't I stop you now?" he asked, his eyes filled with sadness.
"You can't. We have to part ways for now, but I believe we will meet again, somewhere and someday," I replied.
I was taken aback as he pulled me close, kissing me passionately, while his bodyguards watched. Tears welled up in my eyes. It pained me to let him go, to be separated from him, but it was the path we were meant to take.
I walked away, resisting the urge to look back. I never said "I love you" because the words hurt too much. I couldn't allow myself to stop now. Selene and her people believed in me, and I had to try to make this world a better place, even if it meant sacrificing my eternal life.
"Are you okay?" Selene asked.
I would be a hypocrite if I claimed to be just fine. "I'm not, but I have to stay focused on my mission. Speaking of which, there are still lingering questions. Who betrayed us before?" I inquired.
"My memories were damaged and sealed by an unknown force. I can't decipher who the real traitor is," she explained.
That traitor was cunning, indeed. We arrived at the nameless pack around five in the afternoon. Mentally exhausted, I requested some time to rest. I found myself in the same room where Luke and I had spent time together. The scent of him still lingered on the bed sheets. It hadn't even been a day since we parted ways, yet I already missed him.
I fell asleep clutching the bed sheets tightly. In the depths of the night, I had a peculiar dream. Moonlit waterfalls cascaded before me, their beauty and grandeur taking my breath away.
I walked upon the clear water, hearing the gentle splashes and the fish swimming around me. Amidst the blur, I caught a glimpse of a woman in white. Her face remained elusive, but I could feel her trying to reach out and hold my hand. Her whispers echoed in my ears.
"I will wait for you, at the waterfalls where we used to swim."
I woke up, drenched in sweat, in the middle of the night. Her voice sounded so familiar. A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts. I made my way to the door, finding the elder named Xavier standing there, holding a tray of food.
"You skipped dinner," he remarked, keeping his word.
"Thank you. Would you like to come in? I have something important to discuss," I invited, gesturing towards the table and chair in the room, grateful for the space it provided.
I placed the tray on the table and began to enjoy my meal, aware of Xavier's gaze upon me. His admiration felt unfamiliar yet strangely nostalgic.
"Anyway," I began, initiating the conversation. "I had a dream about waterfalls and a mysterious woman in a flowing white gown. Do you think it has a meaning?”
“It’s the enemy’s base,” he replied.
“W-what? Are you sure? How did you know?”
“I was taken there before, and almost died. Selene’s mother saved me,” he informed me and I believed him.
With Selene’s help, we were able to pinpoint the location where Magnus was living like a King. So, Magnus was living on an isolated island that was just a few miles away from the pack of Pembroke.
“Are you sure about this, Isabella? It’s dangerous, and you can still back out,” Selene told me.
